Chapter 121: A door unlocked.

There was no way out of the room. I checked repeatedly. I knocked on every door possible and even the floor. And now I just stared out of the window at the lands, masses of it, filled with snow.

Even if I wanted to make a small gamble I could pass the snow to the nearest town then I also knew the fact of how long I was thinking about it. I watched the snow day at night until the maid came to provide me with my field throughout the day. No one appeared to be coming to the palace and usually the palace was the most bustling thing around.

There was supposed to be a whole capital around the palace which would mean the people were staying there and so were the ministers of the court but there was nothing of so here. And if I were to believe that my side of the palace had no housing rounded than it was not possible as well. The palace was always surrounded by the capital if not by the sea.

So all in all I was stuck here in a kingdom that I had no knowledge about except the fact that it would snow here all year around.

"What to do?" I whispered as I looked outside with longing in my voice. I wanted to get out of here. Where I would go next I had no idea about that to be honest.

"But how did they. . ." I muttered but my sentence got lost as did my chain of thoughts. My chains of thoughts changed with the change in events. How did Tristan even begin to know the northern King? Kings did not deal with merchants. Only one or two men from the court dealt with them.

Tristan made sure to answer any of my questions.

A knock came on my door but I did not border turning around and greeting nor even acknowledging the women. She was the same woman but she was not Marilyn. So in my opinion I should not deserve my greetings.

"Good morning your grace," she said probably with a chirpy smile on her face, "I have brought your breakfast. I shall take my leave now." Within moments after that I heard the door close. But my ears tried to listen for something else.

My heart raced quicker than ever as I realised that I did not hear the small clicks of the door. She did not turn the key around in the lock!

I gasped silently at the possibility. She did not do it or probably I did not hear it.

I turned around to step to the door but stopped shortly. At the very possibility that I could get out of here and the only way was unlocking finally truly unnerved me. They knew it was the only way out for me so why would they leave the door unlocked?

Vidmate craft gotten about it was top middle and had been stupid a lot of times. The maid could have forgotten or simply not chosen to locker thinking that I would never take this opportunity and the cause was going to come soon after to take away the empty trayes.

Gulping my nerves down, understood the door and held the handle in my hand tightening my hold over it. I pulled the door open slightly and opened ajar making my eyes widened at the possibility that it was truly truly unlocked!

"Oh my. . ." I whispered in disbelief! It was open!

Without thinking twice of the opportunity that was already in my hands, I was not stupid enough to let go of it and opened the door before looking into the hall to find any guards standing.

No one stood there. As suspicious as it was it was also very optimistic for my situation which is why for once I decided to look at the positive side more than the negative one that clearly weighed more heavier.

I stoof in the hallway, in the middle of nowhere in the palace and looked at both the options after in front of me The right side or the left one. Last time I had taken right and ended up being— well nevermind that, left it is.

I turned around to walk to the left side of the whole by turning around when an end King duet. Soon the staircase was spotted by me and I lifted up my scares to get on that. I kept my foot as lightly as I could, making sure to not make any kind of noise.

A quick thought came to my mind but was I going to do after this? I did not have any juice to sell to Julia and get money for red know that I have a good quality clock that I could sell to a fabric. I truly had nothing to give to anyone and my survival in this cold was limited to the only I had bothered to pick up which I was show would not support me in a snowstorm.

Oh well . . I must tackle one problem at a time.

When I came down the stairs I immediately spotted right across a long hallway the servants exit to the palace.

Finally, I breathed a sigh of relief. No one will ever come to check who was crossing the servants hallway.

Even when I threaded as likely as I could on the floor making show that my heel did not make any kind of noise on meeting with the ground. Once again I held the doorknob in my hand, and pulled honoured with excitement and positivity filled in my heart.

Snow.

Snow stood in front of me once again. There was no house or even a path for the servants to enter. Snow stood in front of me, in front of the servants entrance and exit.

A small tingling sensation appeared on my spine and I realised that I had of me stood snow and behind me stood he.
