Chapter 125: The Luna Academy

Eric was stunned for a moment.

He raised a hand to his aching nose and touched blood. Starting at his fingers, he looked back at her, "Teddy...,"

"I don’t know who you are," She said to him boldly, "Or at least, you’re not who I thought you were, at all. Not even for a second. You’re just a manipulative, attention-seeking bastard that used everything I felt for years," Her hands twitched at her sides to punch him again, "So when I tell you to leave me alone, be grateful that’s all I’m letting you walk away with. Next time you come up to me, I’ll make sure you crawl back,"

"Teddy!" He yelled when she tried to walk away, "You can’t be serious about this. I can’t believe you would ever hit me,"

"You really are a son of a bitch,"

"What?"

"You’re no friend of mine. You’ve never been,"

"I have been there for you!" He scoffed, "I was always there. Have you forgotten everything we’ve done together? I’m the reason you’re here at Gravemont, because I brought you here myself. We’ve known each other for ten years...,"

There was only so much she could take. Her fists flew out again and she punched him so hard this time she sent him flying. She was pretty sure he was going to have a few broken bones and a really disfigured face, but she didn’t care.

In fact, she was feeling a tiny bit better by punching his pathetic ass.

She got to the archer’s range and sat on one of the rocks. It was peaceful, and the only sound here was the howling wind and the rain carried toward the cliff.

She was still haunted by her regret. She thought about Thaddeus and whether they had arrived at the underground location safely.

*I’m glad you punched him. Atta girl!*

Theodora didn’t have the strength to smile, *You were right. He was being manipulative, and he was Cain’s dog all this time. I feel angry and sorry for him*

*Why are you sorry for him? Cain knew you were close to him, and Cain used him to get to know you. For all I know, Cain’s been getting intel on you through him since you met. And he went through with it all. I hope he chokes on something and dies* Sera was furious.

*What do I do about Zeke? How do I make him feel better? How do I...* Her voice cracked, *I don’t think he’ll ever look at me the same way again*

Seraphina said softly, *It’s a lot to take for him. He thought you were a boy, fell for you, opened up to you, and we were unfair to him. I advise we keep trying to talk to him, or just stay close to him. Keep showing him how much you care, and I hope he’s able to forgive us one day*

*I regret everything* Theo cried.

*He still doesn’t know who you are. You haven’t told him your name*

*I will* Theo said, "I doubt he’ll listen, but when he does, I will tell him everything. For now, I just want to be there for him. I want to be there, as a woman, as my true self,"

*Got it* Seraphina mumbled, *You should go and get some sleep. You’re gonna come up with a terrible headache if you keep worrying so much like that. You already have bags under your eyes, and you look pale and walk like you’re about to collapse*

Theo mumbled a groan, *l’ll go back when I’m ready,*

As curfew approached, Theo headed back to her dorm. When she got to her door, she took in a deep breath before she unlocked and walked into the room.

Zeke was lying on his bed, his arm thrown over his face. Every breath he took was deep and slow.

She sat on her bed and let her real face take over. Then, she lay down and stared at him. Normally, he was the one usually staring or glaring whenever she walked in, but they had changed roles today.

He didn’t seem to care. Or he was ignoring her. She didn’t know which it was.

*My male scent often overlaps with the other whenever I change. How do I fix that?* Theodora asked.

*That would only happen in two cases. One is when I emerge - I can’t control my scent whenever I come out. It’s impossible for me. Secondly, it’s when I’m asleep. But when I’m awake, even if you change to your female face, I can still withhold your scent,*

*I think that is what we should do. Withhold my scent whenever I change with him. That way, anyone who comes in here won’t get suspicious*

When Zeke stood up and started moving about, she remained watching him silently. She wanted him to look at her, or even glare at her, but it was as if he were alone in the room.

He didn’t even glance her way. Not once.

It made her so uneasy.

She was twitching to walk up to him, grab his face and keep telling him how sorry she was.

*Let him be* Seraphina moaned softly, *He didn’t reject us. Let him calm down before you talk to him again. Our presence will only irritate and confuse him even further*

Theodora decided to go with her woods advice. By the time Zeke was ready for bed, he faced the other side and closed his eyes. She heard some incorrigible words from him at first and thought maybe he was cursing again, but it didn’t sound like that.

Before midnight, he had fallen asleep.

That was when she stood up from her bed.

Theo sat on the floor, at the edge of his bed and watched him sleep for a second. She knew the nightmares would kick in soon, so she reached out and placed a hand on his leg.

He shook at first, repelled by her touch, but she didn’t let go. She gripped his leg to stop him from wriggling ot out of her reach, and he subconsciously kept up with it for almost an hour.

Finally, he gave up and relaxed.

Or rather, his tense muscles calmed a little.

That was exactly how she stayed for the rest of the night.

*Have you thought about anything?* Theo asked her a wolf amidst the silence of the night, *How are we supposed to save him?*

*I did* Seraphina replied, *And I think I got the answer*

*Really?* Theo felt panicked and relieved at the same time, *What do I have to do?*

*Two things. One is basically the most... popular. Whenever a wolf is cursed, being together with their mate usually breaks it. That means you have to mate with him, and both of you have to accept each other and he has to mark you during the mating session*

Mate with Zeke? She swallowed a mouthful of saliva.

*What’s the second option?*

*The Second option would only come up if the first doesn’t work. It’s usually very rare, and would definitely not come up to that. I’m sure mating with him would cure him*

*You should still tell me the second option,*

*Are you sure you want to know?*

*Why are you making it sound like it’s a big deal?*

Seraphina paused, and her voice got deeper, "Because, it is,"

"Tell me," Theodora’s grip on his leg tightened.

"Well, you have to..."

Gravemont had resumed for almost two weeks now and everything was as before. Zeke had yet to speak to her, or even acknowledge that he had a roommate, and Sylas was giving her space.

It was hard on the three of them, especially with the mate bond tugging every second.

Currently, the first and Second years were at the courtyard undergoing intense training drills. Sweat and blood dripped off everyone’s skin as they took part in another brutal session that threatened to break them.

But some of the boys still had the strength to discuss among themselves. There was an announcement a few days ago that the Luna Academy would be visiting and staying at Gravemont for a few weeks.

It was kind of a tradition that happened every two years.

Theo didn’t care much about the details. She had other important things to worry about.

Liam was yet to resume, either. She’s been alone for the past two weeks, just wallowing in her misery alone with no one to talk to but her wolf.

The drills were finally called to a halt with a sharp blast of the horn.

Panting, everyone straightened across the courtyard. Theo wiped her forehead with the back of her hand, chest rising and falling as she stared blankly ahead, half-present at best.

Then, a ripple moved through the courtyard, like the atmosphere itself had inhaled. Theo felt a foreign presence sliding over her senses, and the sound of multiple engines right outside the large gates.

Excited murmurs broke out among the students.

"They’re here"

"The Luna girls—"

"No way, already?"

Theo’s head lifted slowly.

The iron gates of Gravemont groaned open, and a long convoy rolled in. Sleek black transports bearing the silver crescent insignia of Luna Academy. The moment the engines cut off, the courtyard seemed to brighten despite the overcast sky.

The doors opened, and the girls stepped out in perfect formation.

They wore crisp uniforms, with tailored jackets hugging their waists, pleated skirts that moved sharply with every step, knee-high boots polished to a mirror shine. Their hair was neatly styled, some braided, some loose, all immaculate. Confidence clung to them like perfume.

They weren’t just students. They were raised to be Lunas.

Weird. Theodora thought it would be worse than this considering how the werewolf world took women lightly.

The courtyard erupted with the males howling, and Theo rolled her eyes. They were horny little asses.

"THAD!" A female voice called from one of the girls.

Thad? Were they referring to her?

Before she could even process the voice, someone slammed into her.

Arms wrapped tightly around her neck, soft warmth pressed against her chest, and the unmistakable scent of vanilla and sunflowers flooded her senses..

The girl laughed brightly, breathless with excitement, and kissed Theo’s cheek, and then...her lips.

Theo wanted to scream, but paused when the girl pulled back just enough to look at her face.

"Hey, baby!" She beamed.

Theo’s blood froze.

Was this...Ava?
