The Forbidden Heiress At The All Male Alpha Academy-Chapter 126: At the Corners of the Library
Thank Goodness drills were over.
Theo had never run that fast before in her life. She had shoved Ava away from her the very next minute out of panic and had sprinted away from the courtyard.
She arrived at her dorm and slammed the door behind her, pressing her back against it. What the hell just happened out there?
*Congratulations on getting your first kiss...from a girl* She could hear her wolf snickering softly.
Theo felt disgust roll up her spine, and she began wiping off her lips thoroughly, *Ew! Ew! Ew! Oh my God, a girl kissed me. I freaking touched lips with a girl! Ugh!*
*You better not puke!*
*And what the hell is Ava doing here?* Theo kept ranting, now pacing back and forth.
*She is from Luna Academy, duh! Sylas mentioned it the other day!*
*I know he did!* Theo almost snapped, still freaking out, *What I mean is, why is she among the girls visiting? She’s gonna know that I’m not Thaddeus, that is, if she hasn’t figured it out already. She’s seen him before, he’s bigger and has a different scent. What do I do?*
*Pray she keeps your secret?*
*Have I ever told you you’re terrible at giving great suggestions when I’m freaking out?*
.
.
The girls had swiftly adjusted to the change of environment. About fifty of them were visiting for a whole month, and a smaller dorm had been specially prepared for them.
They came with their female teachers and had separate classes. But twice a week, they had mixed classes with the Alphas and even their practicals were extreme.
Theo never imagined it would be that intense for them, also, even though it was nowhere near as vigorous as it was for the boys. They were being trained to be women, to the lunas who can look after their Alpha and back him up when it arises. Of course, it wouldn’t be easy.
They had adjusted so quickly that every corner of the school, you’d find a girl in her leggings or short skirt hanging around, or moving with a boy already. There was so much flirting in every corner Theo made, and even more purring.
Some publicly made out. At least they took their business with their pants down to somewhere more...secluded.
Probably the crimson den.
With all the chaos now rampant at Gravemont, nothing came close to the reaction the girls gave whenever one of these people walked by.
Aurelius, Celeste, Zeke and Sylas.
The girls would stare without filter, like their eyeballs were ready to fall off. Aurelius gave off that big boy, smug charm. Celeste gave off the quiet but attractive charm. Zeke, of course, gave off the hot bad boy with tattoos charm and Sylas...he gave off the calm, dangerous, dark older man charm.
Whenever Zeke or Sylas walked by, there was always an uproar among the girls. Those hanging onto other boys would instantly let go and start to drool as if Sylas and Zeke had just stepped out of a magazine. At this point, they might as well be capable of stopping traffic with their masculine aura.
And it was annoying, really.
No, it was infuriating.
Whenever it happened and Theo was there, she would have to suck in deep breaths and hold back from walking up to them and slapping them across the face. Because what the hell? Those dazzling, down-to-earth men were her fucking mates and these girls only kept eye-fucking them!
There were a lot of times she had to run away whenever it was happening, or Seraphina would have forcefully emerged and ripped their heads off. Theo was thinking of starting something meditation exercises, if that would help with her anger issues these days.
Meanwhile, Zeke had yet to speak to her. She had given him space, occasionally calling his name. He would completely ignore her existence and go to bed. And she had slept well for days because she was always sitting on the floor, a hand on his leg.
But right now, what bugged her the most was Ava. She had been avoiding that girl as if meeting again was going to cause a nuclear bomb to go off. And the craziest thing about it was that Ava was that always ran into each other.
About three times a day.
For the first two days it happened, Theo had concluded she needed to start keeping an extra eye out on the girl, so whenever she caught Ava coming from a distance, she would take another route to her destination.
Theo still couldn’t believe a girl had kissed her.
And Gravemont had gotten on her nerves. During training drills, a few Professors had been present, along with every single student there, and they had all witnessed Ava kissing her.
Including Sylas.
Zeke must have seen it, too.
Theo was currently at the library. Thankfully, there were no girls in sight there. She sat, tucked away between two towering shelves, pretending to read a thick combat book she hadn’t turned a page of in the last ten minutes.
Her mind only kept drifting. The silence only made her ponder even harder.
Suddenly, a sharp sound cut through the silence.
Theo paused and looked around her.
She heard a sharp scruffle, and then a sharp intake of breath that didn’t belong to someone reading quietly. Then, she heard a whisper.
"...did you give him the letter like I asked?" It was venom-laced.
A voice replied. It was trembling and meek, "...I couldn’t approach him. He’s so scary...,"
Theo slowed, closed the book, and tucked it quietly back where she had taken it. She slipped off her chair and moved silently, her boots making no sound, and her aura suppressed as she traced the noise till she was at the deepest part of the library where the lights dimmed.
She peered through a narrow gap between shelves, and there was Ava.
She almost ran away again.
That was before she saw Ava backed against a table with her blouse torn from the neck down. She looked tight and pale, clutching her torn clothes while four other girls towered over her frame.
One of them, which Theo assumed to be the leader, shoved Ava’s shoulders hard. Ava stumbled back and hit the edge of the table with a dull thud.
Theo’s eyes narrowed. Was she... actually being bullied? They do that at the Luna Academy?
"I don’t care what you think!" The girl snapped. She had blonde hair, and her boots looked expensive as hell. "You have a very simple job, you little rat! One! Twenty-four hours to give Zeke the letter, and you didn’t! You’re useless!"
Theo’s heart slammed violently against her ribs.
Letter?
Wait... could it be a love letter?! Oh hell no!
"I...I...," Ava stuttered.
"I...I...," The second girl, a brunette mimicked her mockingly, "Get down on your knees!" The girl hissed.
The third one kicked Ava’s feet quickly and the blonde fell down.
The bullies snickered, "Oh my God, the floor fits you so perfectly. You should consider licking it too...," The expensive boot stepped forward, a smirk tugged at the corner of her lips, "So you better lick it Ava,"
Ava remained on the floor, cowering and trembling.
When she didn’t move, the girl sent a knee to the side of her face. It smashed and Ava collapsed to the ground, breathing hard. Blood trickled down her head.
"I told you to lick the fucking ground! It shouldn’t be so hard when you’ve licked my shoes before!"
Theo could not tolerate bullying. She had experienced so many versions of it from her brothers and there was absolutely no way she could stand for it. And she never imagined girls could be so cruel, too. She grew up around men and thought it only applied to that gender.
"Awwn, you’re bleeding," The Fourth girl, one with too much red lipstick bent down, cooing softly right before she grabbed a fistful of Ava’s hair and yanked her head backwards, "Don’t worry, it’ll heal before your run-away boyfriend sees it,"
They burst into a heap of laughter.
"I can’t believe her that day. She was so excited and kissed him in front of everyone, and then he stared at her like he was about to puke right before he ran off. Poor Ava stood there, embarrassed out of her mind. It was the funniest thing I saw!"
Oh no. Theo felt bad.
"And the guy’s a mutt. Come on, Ava. But I guess someone as daft and stupid as you is a perfect match for a sorry ass loser like him,"
Theo had had enough. She was about to take a step out and reveal herself when something unexpected happened.
Ava suddenly grabbed the red lipstick girl’s on her hair and twisted it.
CRACK
The wrist snapped.
Lipstick whirled back, clutching her broken arm with a light scream.
Theo watched, stunned in a good way, as Ava rose to her feet. She looked different from before.
Very different, in fact. Even her aura had changed.
The girls instinctively stepped back, shocked out of their minds.
