The Faceless Billionaire Celebrity Wife-Chapter 248: Look Like Her Mom.
’You should have stayed away from me and stopped this right from the moment we met again, instead of letting our relationship bloom to this moment and then letting it squash!’
Ever from the moment her brothers told Raymond that she miscarried his baby, Cyprian feared hearing these words from him. She knew it was inevitable but she had still wanted to avoid it for as much time as possible. It would end in a breakup anyway, so why allow herself listen to hurtful words first before being sentenced to a painful separation?
But when Cyprian heard Raymond say the words with an accusatory tone, the pain that filled her heart was more than she had imagined. Maybe she had previously hoped he would forgive her, but she had never imagined he would confront her this harshly.
"Ray..." she breathed, unable to say another word.
"Don’t call my name that way, Rian. You...You should have told me the moment we met each other and not...Forget it! You are here to see Esther and not me. She’s upstairs." With one last glance at Cyprian’s listless face, Raymond placed his leg on the first step and continued on his way to his room.
Cyprian stood there for the next three minutes, leaning against the stairway rails to balance herself and regain her composure before climbing the stairs. She had lived here well enough to know where Ruthlyn room was, and that was where she headed straight to.
"Esther?!" she yelled excitedly as oom as she got to the door of the room. She switched personalities to one which would be able to comfort the little girl, before pushing the door open to enter the room.
Esther climbed out of bed immediately she saw Cyprian enter, rushing over to take her hand.
"Let’s go to my room," she said, about to pull Cyprian with her when the latter stopped her.
"Why do we have to go to your room? That’s in the front villa."
"I have something I want to show you," Esther replied immediately. She had tried as hard as she could not to blurt out to the others that she saw her mum today, so now that the only person she was allowed to tell had arrived, she could not keep her mouth shut.
"What is that?" Cyprian asked, glancing up at Ruthlyn who shrugged to show she had no idea what Esther wanted to show her.
"You will see when you come. Pretty please, Miss Leigh..." Esther pleaded, desperation evident in her eyes.
Cyprian could not refuse the look in her eyes so she turned to Ruthlyn, "Can I take her back to her room?"
"Of course, as long as you two can sleep in the villa all by yourselves. Or do you need me to stay with you?"
"No!" Esther screamed, shaking her head vigorously. "I and Miss Leigh can sleep alone. We don’t need you."
Ruthlyn frowned.
"Alright, I wasn’t planning to leave with you," she stated. Turning to Cyprian, she added, "Esther’s handprint will unlock the door."
As a result of running half the way, Cyprian and Esther were at the front of the door within a few minutes.

Shikera unpacked the phone packet in her hand, sighing as the device fell onto her hands.
"I wonder how I was able to stay away from this for two whole weeks," she murmured, before looking up at Mignon who was standing by the window and looking out. That was the position she had assumed since they arrived at the hotel.
"And you? How did you cope without a phone for years?" she asked, to see Mignon turn around to face her.
"Alan has one, and he’s the most boring individual I’ve ever seen. I think the fact that he never uses his phone for anything fun, and me losing my memory and forgetting what fun stuffs I can use a phone for, both contributed to my ability to cope," Mignon replied.
"Now that you got one, I must be that special person you call first with a new phone. Here," Shikera gushed excitedly, handing Mignon’s phone over to her.
The latter eyed Shikera with fake dislike in her eyes.
"Why would you be the first person I call when there are several other hot men I can get their number right here and now, and call? That’s would me more than memorable, don’t you think?" she asked jokingly.
Shikera laughed out loud, Mignon joining her with her own loud chuckle. Anyone who saw the two earlier in the day would doubt it was the same gloomy and calculative faces that was now cheerful and relaxed.
As if on cue, their laughter ceased few seconds later and a blank look took it’s place.
"Why aren’t you asking anything now? You were asking a lot of questions back at the restaurant," Shikera pointed out, plonking down on the soft hotel bed which seemed hard to her buttocks. She could never get comfortable while sleeping in an hotel, except the place was termed as her home for that particular moment.
"Yeah, I guess I’m not that eager anymore. I’m scared I might have done something really horrible," Mignon sighed. She sat down beside Mignon, a bitter smile on her face.
"And what horrible thing are you capable of doing? Nothing. Except bullying me and wanting to take my turn in the bathroom of course," Shikera sneered. "You didn’t do anything bad, Mignon, and I can assure you your family is really waiting for you."
"Hold on, Kera, you once told me you aren’t in anyway related to me directly," Mignon noted, tilting her head to the side with curiosity in her eyes.
"I did, and I’m not changing that."
"Then explain what happened with the girl calling me mummy today. Do I kind of look like her mom?" Mignon asked.
"You asked—"
Mignon cut her off, "Yeah, I know you have almost answered this before. Let’s just start all over again."
