The Celibate Tycoon Has Fallen-Chapter 47: Tainting Her, a Body of Purity
"What do you mean? Is she really pregnant?"
Aaron Payne’s voice paused for a moment on the other end of the phone, "I meant congratulations. So in Young Master’s opinion, her pregnancy is a good thing?"
Jasper Yale pinched the center of his brows, his last ounce of patience worn out, "Will you die if you just say the result directly?"
"Not pregnant, did you think having a child was that easy."
Jasper Yale slipped one hand into the pocket of his suit pants, still feeling skeptical, "Then why is she vomiting so much?"
"I saw all the dishes on that table. Did you feed her that?"
"Hmm, any problem? You said she needed a big boost."
Aaron Payne wouldn’t take the blame for this, "Boosting is done gradually. It’s a miracle she wasn’t killed by that table full of food. Young Master, I really suspect you did it on purpose. Do you dislike that girl so much that you let her eat vigorously, trying to stuff her to death?"
Jasper Yale’s eyes darkened, his expression turned grim, "Is it my fault then?"
"She has such a small frame; she can’t handle this much. She’s probably feeling very unwell now, isn’t she?"
"I don’t know." Jasper Yale recalled how Yelena Hughes had slept poorly just now, tossing and turning; her stomach must still be aching. "Should I give her medicine?"
"Yes, I’ll be over in a bit with some medicine for her."
"Okay."
Jasper Yale waited for a while, then went upstairs after getting the medicine. Yelena Hughes was curled up, clutching her stomach, with her knees pressed to her chest, uncomfortable.
He pressed two pills into his palm and stood by the bed, his tall frame casting a shadow that completely covered Yelena Hughes.
"Get up and take the medicine."
All she could manage were soft whimpers, very faint. Just as Jasper Yale was about to lift her up, the phone inconveniently rang.
Slightly annoyed, he took it out and checked; it was Nancy Alden.
He had told her he had business last night and would be traveling today, but she didn’t seem to believe it. He had already answered two previous calls, and now she was calling again.
Jasper Yale tossed the phone toward the bedside table; he didn’t have the time to coax her for half a day.
He reached out to pull Yelena Hughes up; she felt even more uncomfortable sitting up and wanted to lie back down.
Jasper Yale held her by the waist, letting her lean on him, "Take the medicine and then sleep."
"What medicine?"
"Medicine to make you feel better."
Yelena Hughes, extremely weak, kept nudging her head against his shoulder, unwilling to take the medicine, "Pregnant women can’t take medicine, don’t you know?"
This matter, Jasper Yale hadn’t even settled with her. He pressed his large hand against the back of Yelena Hughes’ head to pull her away a bit, "Who said you were pregnant?"
"You did." She blinked her bright eyes, full of innocence.
The phone on the cabinet kept ringing, very loudly, grimacing his handsome face, "Yelena Hughes, are you daring to trick me."
"Is the result out?" Her throat rolled lightly, feeling like it was on fire, so painful. The noise was driving her crazy. Yelena Hughes gestured towards the phone, "You should answer."
Jasper Yale glanced at the phone, then at her, "Don’t speak."
She glanced at the caller ID, it was Nancy Alden. Yelena Hughes mimicked zipping her lips shut; she wouldn’t provoke Miss Alden. Survival of the fittest; she had no intention of becoming prey.
Jasper Yale extended his palm to her mouth, "Take the medicine."
As he said this, he answered the phone, "Hello."
"Jasper, are you busy?" Nancy Alden’s sweet voice floated from the other end, making Yelena Hughes queasy, she covered her mouth, tried hard to suppress it.
Jasper Yale gently patted her back with the hand holding the medicine, which startled Yelena Hughes a lot.
"Yes," his expression and tone both indifferent, clearly disinterested, not wanting to talk much, "in a meeting."
"Am I interrupting you?"
"Not particularly."
If Nancy Alden were sensible, she would hang up here. But she wouldn’t. Since knowing Jasper slept with Yelena Hughes, seeing him go out, she always suspected he was on his way to her.
"Can you send me a video?"
Jasper Yale, a bit exasperated and furious, Yelena Hughes close enough to clearly see him. But he wouldn’t snap at Nancy Alden, "Nancy, it’s not convenient; I really am in a meeting."
"Can’t you secretly shoot it? Just pretend to be checking the time on your phone."
Seeing Yelena Hughes fixatedly staring at him, Jasper Yale handed over his palm, indicating her to take the medicine.
Yelena Hughes lowered her head, opening her mouth to his palm, took one pill inside, but couldn’t get hold of the other.
Watching this, Jasper Yale felt unbearably itchy. Yelena Hughes’ lips approached again, a lick of her tongue, and the pill was swallowed.
But it was so bitter.
She furrowed her brows, seeking water. Jasper Yale pushed her head aside, she simply drove him wild just now, his breath noticeably heavier.
"Nancy, stop fussing. I will call you back later."
Jasper Yale didn’t bother to wait for Nancy Alden’s response. His finger tapped the screen, hanging up. 𝒻𝓇𝑒𝘦𝘸𝑒𝒷𝓃ℴ𝑣𝘦𝑙.𝒸ℴ𝘮
Casually tossing the phone aside, his lips met Yelena Hughes’, "Didn’t I tell you not to make any noise, yet here you are?"
Yelena Hughes’ mouth was full of bitterness, almost unbearable, her face scrunched up, "What did I do?"
It wasn’t like she couldn’t lift her sore arms, nor was she not eating the medicine as he asked, would he think she was enticing him?
"Not learning your lesson."
Jasper Yale kissed her lips, gently nibbling, Yelena Hughes’ hands found his face, responding to him, claiming she’s uninterested?
Jasper Yale was about to deepen the kiss; she unexpectedly initiated this time.
In the matter of kissing, Yelena Hughes took the initiative for the first time. Jasper Yale slightly parted his lips, ready for her tentative entry.
However, along with the quivering softness, came the remaining half pill of bitterness.
The bitterness spread on Jasper Yale’s tongue; Yelena Hughes was pushed away by him.
Jasper Yale spat the pill out, his tone chilly, "You, Hughes!"
"What’s wrong, Young Master?" She endured the bitterness, wiped her mouth, "I didn’t drink water, did you taste it too?"
Jasper Yale grabbed the water from the bedside table, gulped down half of it, then handed the cup to Yelena Hughes.
"This doesn’t count, take two more." Jasper Yale wasn’t angry; he took out two more pills to offer to Yelena Hughes. "Open your mouth."
She obediently took the medicine. Jasper Yale pressed the tip of his tongue against the corner of his lips, the bitterness still lingering.
Yelena Hughes crawled back into the covers, "Help me get some clothes ready; I have a shift tonight."
On Nancy Alden’s side, were she to notice anything amiss, it’d spell trouble for Yelena Hughes.
Jasper Yale gazed at her peaceful sleeping face. He admired her courage against power, even daring risky endeavors. She should be properly working as a reporter, calling out injustices.
But if Nancy Alden wanted to force her into The Sovereign Club, then she would inevitably taint Yelena Hughes’ purity.
Jasper Yale wanted to help her, but within him, Yelena Hughes’ importance seemed...
Incapable of shaking Nancy Alden.
