System: Replicating The Heavens-Chapter 503: Ch : PLM (17): Reincarnation
Cracks continued to spread across Alex's body, glowing faintly as if his flesh itself could no longer bear what resided within. Fritz and Alicia stood frozen, fear tightening their throats, while Elryn watched silently, his eyes faintly narrowed.
Alex wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth and exhaled slowly. His expression, however, was calm. He then said slowly, "Don't worry about it. When I asked for my soul to become stronger, I was already prepared for the worst."
His voice was incredibly steady despite the visible damage to his body.
Fritz stared at him in disbelief. "Alex, what are you saying? Your body..."
"I don't need this body for long anyway," Alex interrupted lightly. The way he said that he doesn't need his body for long was almost too casual.
"Huh?"
The single word escaped Elryn's lips before he could stop himself. Genuine surprise flickered across his usually indifferent face, mirrored by the shock spreading across Fritz and Alicia's expressions as all three struggled to process Alex's words.
Before any of them could ask another question, Alex's physical body began to dissolve.
It didn't shatter or collapse. Instead, it started fading just as Alicia's body did. Within a few seconds, his entire body, which had carried Alex through countless battles, was gone entirely, leaving behind his radiant soul, complete and flawless, emanating an overwhelming pressure.
"…Alex," Alicia muttered in a trembling voice.
Just like her, Alex now existed solely as a soul. He had also lost his body. Or, more accurately, just like her, he had also sold his physical body.
Elryn's eyes sharpened in that instant as well, a trace of disbelief flashing through them. "You willingly abandoned your physical body. I don't understand. Why did you do that?"
Alex chuckled softly. "It was already a liability. If I want to get rid of the Loren's Curse, I need time, time long enough for me to at least ascend to the level of an Immortal. The Loren's Curse has already hollowed my body from the inside. After going through millions of items in the shop all night, I finally found a few that could delay the eruption of the Loren's Curse. Or, to be more precise, they could reset the drop of Loren's cursed blood. So I used those items to seal my bloodline together with the Loren's Curse inside my own soul."
He stopped for a few seconds before speaking again, "I not only sealed my bloodline and the Loren's Curse, but also my dormant physique, the Godfiend Poison Body, along with a number of unique insights and a few things that are too important to be left outside. All of them were sealed into a single portion of my soul."
"Because of this seal, I will forget everything about myself in my new life. My memories, my identity, my past, all of it will be erased at the beginning. However, the seal is not absolute. As I grow stronger, I can break it step by step. Each time I break a layer of the seal, I will retrieve what was sealed within. When the seal is completely broken, all memories of this life will return to me in full, along with all the treasures sealed inside that portion of my soul."
Elryn frowned a little, then, as if he understood what Alex was trying to do, he nodded slightly.
It was also at this time that something more shocking occurred.
Alex's soul trembled a little, and then, right before everyone's eyes, his soul split cleanly down the middle.
He didn't scream in pain this time. While the division of his soul appeared smooth to onlookers, the concentration required to guide such a split was evident in Alex's expression for a brief moment.
Alicia and Fritz's pupils shrank in unison as they witnessed the scene.
At this moment, one of Alex's souls suddenly turned toward Alicia. A smug, almost playful smile curved on his lip as he asked, "So, Alicia... Do you want to live another life from the very beginning?"
"What?" Alicia felt her mind going blank. She couldn't understand what Alex was trying to say. "Alex, what do you mean—?"
But Alex didn't answer her question.
Instead, he turned to Fritz. His expression grew serious, and with a wave of his hand, a stream of information surged directly into Fritz's consciousness. This information carried coordinates, spatial marks, and a complex trajectory that was imprinted deeply into his soul.
"Fritz, come find me in this galaxy." 𝕗𝗿𝕖𝐞𝐰𝗲𝕓𝐧𝕠𝕧𝗲𝐥.𝚌𝐨𝚖
Fritz staggered slightly as he processed the information. When he finally digested the information Alex sent to his mind, he couldn't help but widen his eyes in surprise.
"You already know how to track me down," Alex continued. "Just come and find me. Alicia and I will meet you there."
"As you now already know, that galaxy is sealed, and no outsider can enter it freely. I was fortunate enough to uncover a few truths about this galaxy and about the existence that sealed it. That galaxy is also the only place rumored to hide Supreme Stones."
"We don't have much time," Alex said decisively. "Let's part here."
Before anyone could respond, the Boundless Shop trembled.
A pillar of blinding light descended from above, piercing through space itself. The light carried an ancient aura as countless runes could be seen rotating within this pillar of light.
The light then split into three streams as it descended.
Two enveloped Alex's divided souls, and one wrapped gently around Alicia.
The moment the light touched them, their soul auras began to blur, suppressed and reshaped by the supreme law of rebirth.
Alex looked at Alicia one last time. His smile softened, shedding all smugness. "Let's meet again, Alicia, my dear, in our new life."
Alicia opened her mouth to speak, but the light consumed her words.
In the next instant, both Alex and Alicia vanished completely, leaving behind only fading ripples in the void.
Silence returned to the Boundless Shop.
When the light descended, Elryn had already understood everything Alex wanted to do. A maniacal smile slowly spread across his face, stretching unnaturally wide as he muttered to himself.
"That sly guy... Interesting. Truly interesting."
For the first time in several eons, Ithariel Moon Elryn's eyes gleamed with excitement.
