System: Replicating The Heavens-Chapter 472: Ch : A Hut
Serena stepped into the ruined hall and froze the moment her eyes landed on Alex. For a second, a flicker of surprise flashed in her beautiful eyes. She clearly hadn't expected to see him there.
"Alex?" she asked softly, her voice carrying a hint of curiosity. Then she nodded slightly and continued, "Did you find something?"
Alex returned her gaze and nodded after thinking for a few seconds.
"Yes," he replied calmly. "When I first entered the Immortal Herb Palace, I appeared inside a huge building. That building was filled with rows of shelves, and each shelf was full of treasures. From what I could tell, all of them were extraordinary. But I didn't check what they were."
Serena raised an eyebrow slightly. "You didn't?"
Alex shook his head. "No. I decided to leave the building and explore the place first. I wanted to make sure there was nothing wrong with this area before touching anything."
Serena looked at him for a moment, as if trying to read his intentions. Alex didn't hide anything. He told her honestly what he saw and did.
The reason he was being so open was simple because he thought about the Supreme Treasure Serena had mentioned before. From the way she had told him about that treasure earlier, he knew how much it meant to her. And although he was curious and deeply interested in that treasure, he had no intention of stealing it from her.
In his heart, Alex believed that if Serena truly wanted that treasure, she could just have it. He didn't need to compete for it because, unlike anyone else in the universe, he possessed the ability to replicate everything.
With his Replication System, once his soul force grew strong enough, he could duplicate any treasure he saw. Even something as unique as a Supreme Treasure could be replicated by him.
And Alex was confident that it wouldn't take him more than a thousand or two thousand years to do so. It sounded impossible, but for him, it wasn't.
After all, Alex wasn't an ordinary cultivator. He possessed powers and abilities that were beyond imagination.
He had three of the four Supreme Stones already in his possession. He also had four special physiques — the Lightning God's Source Body, the Godfiend Phantom Body, the Primordial Chaos Body, and the newly obtained Devouring God Body. Two of them were forbidden physiques. As for the Primordial Chaos Body, although Alex has no idea, he has a feeling that this physique is even more powerful than the forbidden physiques.
Alongside his physiques, Alex also had four extremely powerful bloodlines — the Lightning God's Source Bloodline, the Ancient Sovereign Bloodline, the Primordial Chaos Bloodline, and the Blood Devouring Abyssal Bloodline. Each of these bloodlines carried immense power. The Ancient Sovereign Bloodline was obviously one of the strongest bloodlines in the entire universe. And just like the Primordial Chaos Body, the Primordial Chaos Bloodline was also very mysterious, far more powerful than even his Ancient Sovereign Bloodline.
Other than special physiques and bloodlines, he also possessed the Supreme Undying Soul, a soul that could never truly die or be destroyed.
With all these powers combined, how could Alex not be confident?
Especially the Devouring God Body. He can devour anything and quickly raise his strength.
So, Alex didn't lie to Serena. If the treasure she was looking for was truly located inside that building, then she could just have it.
Thinking of all this, a faint smile appeared on Alex's face.
Serena noticed his expression but didn't ask anything. She simply nodded and said, "I see. Then, let's take a look around. Maybe there's something hidden here." 𝒻𝑟𝘦𝘦𝘸ℯ𝒷𝑛𝘰𝓋ℯ𝘭.𝘤𝘰𝘮
"Alright," Alex replied.
The two of them began to explore the ruined hall together. They walked slowly, observing every broken pillar and cracked stone. Dust covered everything, and the air was filled with a faintly decayed smell.
Alex extended his divine sense, scanning the entire hall carefully. But even after searching every corner, he found nothing unusual.
Serena also didn't find anything.
After a few minutes of silence, Serena sighed softly. "Looks like this place has long been abandoned."
Alex agreed with her. He doesn't know whether Serena had seen similar visions as him or not. He wanted to ask, but after thinking for a while, he shook his head and kept quiet.
Just like that, the two of them turned around and left the hall.
....
Alex and Serena had been exploring the Immortal Herb Palace for five long days. During that time, they had seen countless strange ruins, broken walls, and dead gardens filled with withered herbs.
The once glorious palace had clearly fallen into decay. Yet, despite their search, they hadn't found anything truly valuable or alive.
During these few days, Alex also confirmed that Serena can also see the events of the past just like him. They had witnessed many such scenes in the past few days and gained information about some ancient times.
They just didn't know why these events of the universe were being showcased here, inside the true Inheritance Site of the Half-Immortal.
Moreover, Serena was puzzled, wondering how that Half-Immortal had managed to gain such power, a power strong enough to display events of the past so vividly that they could actually be felt physically.
On the fifth day, while walking through a quiet path covered in moss, they discovered a small hut at the far end of the palace. It looked very different from everything else. While the rest of the palace was made of glowing jade and stones, this hut was made of old, dark wood that seemed to have survived countless years of wind and time.
The air around the hut was still and cold. There was something eerie yet peaceful about it.
They looked at each other and nodded.
Soon, they arrived in front of the hut and pushed it open.
Creak~
A faint creaking sound echoed in the air as the hut's door was pushed open. The hut was small and simple, with only a single chair and table inside. Dust floated in the air, and the smell of age filled the room.
Sitting on the chair was an old man.
