Sweet Wife So Charming: CEO: Hold Back Your Heart-Chapter 196: Nerves
Aleridia.
The Sinclair Group.
Julian Sinclair’s office door was pushed open, and Steward Liu walked in.
"Young Master, it’s settled." Steward Liu had been handling the same issue these past two days, so when Moira Young called last night, he was busy and hadn’t had the chance to inform Julian Sinclair.
Julian Sinclair was flipping through documents, "Hmm."
"Young Master, Miss Moira called me last night, but I was busy dealing with that issue, so I didn’t have the chance to tell you."
Julian Sinclair stopped his actions and closed the document, "What’s the matter?"
"I checked on the way back, it was Miss Moira’s program team that went to the mountains to support education, and Miss Moira rescued an elderly lady. Because it’s in the mountains, it’s difficult to reach a hospital for surgery, so I sent a helicopter to pick her up," replied Steward Liu.
"Is she still there?" Julian Sinclair suddenly felt as if he hadn’t seen her in a long time.
But actually, it was just a day.
"Yes, Young Master, I inquired, and by this time they should be on their way back, but it’s a long journey, so they probably won’t reach Aleridia until midnight," Steward Liu hesitated, wanting to say more.
Julian Sinclair noticed, "Just say it."
"Around seven tonight, there will be thunderstorms lasting about three hours."
"Hmm?" Julian Sinclair was somewhat puzzled, not understanding Steward Liu’s point.
It was then that Steward Liu realized Julian Sinclair had lost his memory and was even more reluctant to speak.
"Speak," Julian Sinclair ordered lightly.
"Young Master, Miss Moira is most afraid of thunderstorms." Steward Liu hesitated because he feared Julian Sinclair would go to pick her up; however, with thunderstorms at seven, it could be dangerous for the helicopter.
Julian Sinclair’s exquisite brows slightly furrowed. His first reaction wasn’t to question how afraid Moira Young could be, but rather to worry about her being scared.
"Prepare to go pick her up."
Steward Liu sighed, knowing Julian Sinclair would do just that. He had spoken too rashly!
"Young Master! It could be dangerous! Miss Moira is at least with the program team’s vehicle, along with many others, she should be fine." Steward Liu now regretted not holding his tongue.
Julian Sinclair remained expressionless, his voice cold, "You have ten minutes."
Steward Liu knew it was hopeless and had no choice but to comply.
The helicopter landed on the rooftop of the Sinclair Group, and after Julian Sinclair boarded, Steward Liu naturally followed to board as well, but Julian Sinclair stopped him.
"You’ve been dealing with Glen Guthrie’s affair and are exhausted, take a break." Julian Sinclair genuinely wanted him to rest, not being unwilling to take him along.
Steward Liu understood Julian Sinclair’s implication about Glen Guthrie’s situation—to have Glen ’legitimately and indisputably’ die in prison, a task Liu handled well.
"Young Master, allow me to accompany you; after all—" Steward Liu was worried.
"Rest assured," Julian Sinclair signaled him to go back and rest.
Steward Liu had no choice but to rest helplessly.
——
In the mountains, at the school.
Once everyone gathered, the director counted the heads and then began to lead them back.
After a while, a staff member approached the director, whispering something, and the director’s face changed instantly.
"Attention everyone! Gather up!" The director frowned and ordered everyone to assemble.
Several girls were exhausted, not having eaten lunch, barely able to move.
"A staff member’s phone just got a signal, and there will be a heavy downpour around seven in the evening, so we must quicken our pace, ideally getting on the bus before seven!"
The girls were panicked.
Moira Young felt tense, looking up at the sky, which showed no signs of abnormality at the moment.
Subconsciously, she clenched her hand, originally walking at the end but now at the front of the group.
She only prayed for rain without thunder to follow...
The whole group began to speed up. Unexpectedly, a thunderous rumble sounded from the sky, truly scaring Moira Young. Her eyes brimmed with tears as she gritted her teeth and continued on.
At this moment, a loud noise came from the sky. Everyone looked up, only to see a helicopter.
"Director! Is it sent by the program team to pick us up?" Crystal excitedly pointed at the helicopter.
The director didn’t understand where the helicopter came from, "Alright, stop watching, let’s move quickly, or we’ll all be drenched!"
With that, the girls sighed in disappointment, reluctantly looking at the helicopter circling above.
"Director, it’s hovering right over us, could it really be sent by the program team?" Elena couldn’t help but ask, running over.
"The program team doesn’t have the money to rent you a helicopter, stop dreaming and let’s go."
Moira Young watched the helicopter, furrowing her brow, feeling a vague sense of familiarity. She stood there, looking up, and was deliberately bumped by a girl coming from behind.
"What are you looking at? Do you think it’s here just for you?" 𝘧𝓇ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝘣𝓃ℴ𝓋𝑒𝑙.𝑐𝘰𝑚
Elena chimed in, "Staring at that helicopter won’t do any good—thinking you’re starring in a CEO’s special sweetheart story?"
This prompted everyone to start mocking Moira Young.
Nonetheless, Moira Young kept her gaze on the helicopter, suddenly squinting to see the logo on it.
It was the Sinclair Group’s Logo!
Moira Young was bewildered. Was it Steward Liu sending Grandma Sean back?
But why didn’t the helicopter go directly to Grandma Sean’s home, and instead hovered over them?
Did something urgent require her attention?
Filled with anxiety, fearing something had happened, Moira Young deviated from the main group, running to a nearby clearing and waving at the helicopter.
"Moira Young, are you crazy?! It’s about to rain, don’t delay the group!" A girl shouted, ridiculing her.
Moira Young ignored them.
The helicopter gradually began to land, safely settling a short distance from Moira Young, silencing everyone in the program team.
Moira Young ran towards it, "Did something happen to Grandma Sean?"
Just as she reached the door on the other side of the helicopter, a perfectly tempered man stepped off.
Moira Young froze, it was Julian Sinclair!
And at that moment, another thunderous noise rumbled through the sky. Moira Young shuddered, her eyes welling with tears, instinctively wanting to leap into Julian Sinclair’s arms, but she couldn’t!
Moira Young frowned, trying hard to restrain her impulse to run over, but whether overcome by nerves or not, she spontaneously turned and ran without looking where she was headed.
Julian Sinclair was shocked, seeing the forest ahead, aware of the descending dusk, a dangerous place!
"Moira!" Julian Sinclair instinctively gave chase!
The helicopter pilot was terrified and immediately called Steward Liu.
