Chapter 181: Chapter 181: Apology

Moira Young didn’t care so much anymore, whatever happens, the most important thing now was to get her to the radiology department.

"Mom just fell... was pushed by Moira Young... now she needs a scan, hurry and come save mom!" Heath Sterling’s mother was like a bullied child, sounding so pitiful when she spoke to Heath.

Moira Young pushed for a long time before finally getting her to the radiology department, but by then, she was nearly exhausted and quite disheveled.

Because the doctor had already scheduled the scan, they just needed to wait in line without having to register again, so soon it was Heath’s mother’s turn.

Moira Young pushed her inside, then followed the doctor’s instructions to wait outside.

At that moment, she saw Heath Sterling hurriedly arriving, his face filled with anxiety and worry, like a needle piercing her heart.

Tears instantly welled up in Moira Young’s eyes, and she secretly turned away to wipe them clean.

"Moira! Where’s my mom!" Heath Sterling ran over.

"I’m sorry, Heath... I’m sorry..." Moira Young kept apologizing, she had prepared herself for Heath’s blame.

"Did my mom make things difficult for you?" Heath Sterling asked, instantly warming Moira Young’s heart.

At this moment, the door of the radiology department opened, and a loudspeaker called for someone to push Heath’s mother out, so Heath and Carter Porter went to help.

As soon as Heath’s mother saw him, she began to moan in exaggerated pain again.

Heath Sterling was extremely worried, but he found it odd. His mother’s health had always been very good, and her annual checkups never found any problems.

He couldn’t say for sure if Moira Young had pushed her, but even if she had, with Moira’s limited strength, it wasn’t enough to cause such serious harm.

"Mom, stop moaning like that, it’s embarrassing if people hear you."

Heath’s mother didn’t expect her son to say this and started moaning even louder.

The group arrived at the doctor’s office, and the doctor directly viewed the images on the computer.

"Doctor, is my mom okay?" Heath Sterling asked.

The doctor glanced at Heath’s mother, "No problem, just a minor bump, she’ll be fine after some rest."

Heath Sterling and Moira Young both breathed a sigh of relief.

The doctor continued, "I heard from the nurse earlier that you were arguing loudly with a girl in the ward."

Heath’s mother looked embarrassed and said nothing.

"Alright, there’s nothing else, just rest a bit." The doctor indicated they could leave.

Heath Sterling helplessly looked at his mother, not expecting her to fake illness at her age.

Once they were back in the ward, Moira Young saw that Heath’s mother was fine, and apologized several more times, with Heath stopping her.

"It’s not your fault." Heath knew his mother’s temperament well.

Heath’s mother got upset, feeling particularly heartbroken, as her son always sided with an outsider instead of her. Wouldn’t that upset anyone?

"Heath, are you even still my son?" Heath’s mother’s eyes were red, demanding.

Heath Sterling paused, unsure why she was crying, "Mom, if I’m not your son, is Carter your son?"

"If you’re my son, don’t side with an outsider!"

Moira Young immediately stepped forward, "Auntie, it was really my fault today, I’m sorry. Now that you’re okay, I’ll be going."

Before Heath Sterling could respond, Moira Young left.

Moira Young left decisively, clearly separating things. Accidentally causing Heath’s mother’s injury was one matter; Heath’s mother scolding and hitting her was another.

Now that it was confirmed Heath’s mother was fine, everything was okay, so there was no need for her to stay any longer.

Moira Young rarely genuinely disliked someone, but Heath’s mother was one of them.

When Moira Young returned home, she was truly exhausted, both mentally and physically. She had finally taken a day off from the show, hoping to rest, but the day had been worse than being on the show.

The sky had turned dark, and Moira Young wanted to soak in a bath and then sleep well.

Just as she was about to get up from the sofa, her phone suddenly rang.

She hadn’t saved any names on this phone, but seeing the last few digits, her hand trembled.

It was Glen Guthrie.

Moira Young’s heart suddenly felt like it was tearing apart. She feared not only the possibility of videos on Glen’s phone but also the fear of having truly been violated.

The fear made it impossible for her to answer the call.

Glen called several times in a row, finally sending a threatening text message.

"You have half an hour to come to my bar, or bear the consequences yourself."

Moira Young’s heart was in deep turmoil, honestly unsure whether she should go or not.

Suddenly, an idea flashed in her mind. She rushed to the kitchen, searching through all the cabinets. She was looking for some chili powder, but since she never cooked, she couldn’t find any after a long search.

Outside her apartment complex, there was a small convenience store, so Moira Young hurried out to buy some.

——

At the same time.

Julian Sinclair had just left the company shortly before, when an accident occurred on the usual road home, causing a traffic jam, so the driver took a detour.

The butler, Liu, sat in the front passenger seat, busy catching up on unfinished tasks lately, while Gary, still young, lacked experience in many things.

Julian Sinclair casually gazed out the car window, observing a road he’d never traveled before.

During his usual route home, he’d often furrow his brow, preoccupied with work, but now that the butler Liu had returned, everything felt different.

Before finding butler Liu, Julian hadn’t realized his importance, as the amnesia dulled those feelings, but now, he was distinctly aware of Liu’s significance.

It wasn’t that he couldn’t manage without Liu, but with Liu there, everything was much easier.

Julian relaxed back in his seat, finally able to rest after days of relentless work, leaving no time for other thoughts.

The road wasn’t very congested, but it was narrow, and the car moved slowly.

Julian Sinclair inadvertently noticed a familiar figure running into a small shop, and at that moment, his heart inexplicably stirred.

"Stop the car." Julian Sinclair’s eyes fixed on the shop.

The driver pulled over without daring to question why.

Less than a minute later, the familiar figure came running out of the shop, and Julian Sinclair clearly saw that it was Moira Young.

Why was she in such a hurry?

"Go ask what she bought." Julian Sinclair didn’t address anyone in particular, but the butler Liu knew he was speaking to him.

"Understood, sir." The butler quickly went to the shop.

He returned shortly, "Sir, Miss Moira bought chili powder."

Julian Sinclair’s eyebrows furrowed slightly, wondering why she would buy chili powder. Was she going to cook?

"Sir, Miss Moira doesn’t know how to cook, so buying chili powder... it’s unclear why," the butler reminded, knowing Julian had lost his memory.

Julian Sinclair sensed something was amiss, "Follow her."

Moira Young got into a taxi, and the driver closely tailed it. Fortunately, the area wasn’t busy, or it would have been difficult to follow so closely.
