Chapter 180: Chapter 180: Pushing Her

"You ill-mannered brat!" Mrs. Sterling suddenly stepped forward and gave Moira Young a heavy slap!

The sudden pain made Moira Young’s head buzz!

In that instant, her nose tingled with the urge to cry, but being stubborn, she held it back.

"Are all children without fathers as uncultured as you?" Even Mrs. Sterling was surprised at her own venomous words.

The apology in her eyes faded away, replaced by a hint of coldness.

Moira Young released the hand covering her cheek and looked at her with a puzzled expression.

"I respect you because you are Heath Sterling’s mother, but that doesn’t mean you can hit me, let alone insult me." Moira Young felt guilty towards the Sterling family, but that didn’t mean she would let them bully her.

"The Sterling family is prestigious, and as Mrs. Sterling, you should act accordingly. I don’t understand why you always resort to foul language and even violence." The education Moira Young received since she was nine was one of nobility. Though Julian Sinclair mostly shielded her, and she’d met few from big families, those she did were all well-mannered.

Mrs. Sterling sneered when she heard Moira, a mere kid, lecturing her, "So you do know the Sterling family is prestigious. Isn’t your constant pestering of Heath because he’s the only heir to the Sterling family?"

Moira Young coldly replied, "I’ve never thought that way."

"How old are you, trying to play games with me? I’ve eaten more salt than you’ve walked on roads, met more people than the salt you’ve eaten. I’m too familiar with your kind." Mrs. Sterling suddenly changed her tone, speaking deliberately.

"I know you’re Julian Sinclair’s woman, beyond reproach. But speaking of it, seeing Julian expose you like garbage previously, I guessed you two wouldn’t end well. Even if he forcibly seized the Sterling shares for you, I bet he’ll ditch you." Mrs. Sterling looked at Moira as if watching a joke.

"You know this too, which is why you’re trying to latch onto Heath, to wedge into the Sterling family." 𝚏𝗿𝗲𝐞𝚠𝕖𝐛𝗻𝗼𝐯𝕖𝚕.𝚌𝗼𝗺

Moira Young didn’t expect her to mention Julian Sinclair. If there was one name Moira least wanted to hear, it was Julian Sinclair.

She wouldn’t allow anyone to mention him.

She wouldn’t allow anyone to call her Julian Sinclair’s woman.

Moira Young’s eyes turned fierce, and all her respect vanished into thin air.

Mrs. Sterling felt a bit intimidated by Moira’s gaze, but continued, "No idea what’s wrong with society nowadays, such young ones becoming mistresses, calling it adoption, really can’t understand it."

"Have you said enough?" Suddenly, Moira Young seemed like a different person, as if returning from a dark hell, enveloped in a chilling aura.

For a moment, Mrs. Sterling thought she saw Julian Sinclair’s shadow in her, feeling a flash of fear.

But then again, Moira Young was just a newly adult kid. What was there to fear?

"As an elder, I’m educating you on behalf of your parents. Tell me, was it you egging Heath on to sign with an entertainment company?" Suddenly recalling this matter, Mrs. Sterling despised the idea of her child becoming a star, as in noble families, it was shameful.

"No comment!" Moira Young didn’t want further entanglements, letting the slap go because Mrs. Sterling was Heath’s mother.

"You despicable girl! Knew it was you!"

Moira Young turned to leave but was unexpectedly grabbed by Mrs. Sterling.

Moira Young’s entire being resisted the contact; instinctually, she shook her off with all her strength!

Unexpectedly!

Mrs. Sterling lost her balance and fell backward!

Moira Young watched in shock and shouted, "Auntie—!"

Luckily, Mrs. Sterling was near the hospital bed, falling with her waist against its edge, though causing no major harm, she couldn’t stand due to back pain.

"Auntie! I’ll call a doctor!" Moira Young’s eyes reddened, overwhelmed with urgency, realizing she’d caused major trouble!

She immediately ran out to call a doctor, almost choking with tears as she explained.

The doctor followed Moira Young to the ward and checked Mrs. Sterling’s back, "Can’t say if there’s internal injury; better take an X-ray."

Mrs. Sterling was immobilized, lying on Heath Sterling’s bed in pain, sweating coldly.

Moira Young, barely an adult, realized she’d carelessly caused Heath’s mother such harm... she felt... completely helpless and guilty...

"Are you the patient’s daughter? Go rent a mobile bed, take her for an X-ray. I can view it directly on my computer." The doctor instructed.

"Okay, I’ll go immediately!" Moira Young tossed her bag aside and quickly headed to the nurse’s station to rent a bed.

Short-staffed, a nurse confirmed with Moira Young, "At this time, you’ll have to push the patient yourself."

"Alright." After signing, Moira Young pushed the mobile bed into the ward.

Mrs. Sterling’s phone was on the bedside table, but unable to move her back, she couldn’t reach it.

Moira Young realized she wanted to call Heath and handed her the phone, "Auntie, I’ll take you for an X-ray first. Let Heath meet us there."

"I don’t want you to take me; I’m waiting for my son..." Mrs. Sterling rejected her.

"You’re so biased; she’s your daughter too, isn’t she? Just get going, it’s urgent." The doctor interjected.

"She’s not my daughter!" Mrs. Sterling exerted, groaning in pain, "Ouch..."

"Auntie, let me take you." Moira Young disregarded it, with the doctor helping transfer Mrs. Sterling to the mobile bed.

Pushing it was tough for Moira Young, but she’d caused this mess, determined to get Mrs. Sterling to the X-ray no matter the effort.

En route, Mrs. Sterling called Heath repeatedly, all calls going unanswered.

Moira Young handed her own phone to Mrs. Sterling, "Auntie, use mine then..."

Knowing why Heath wouldn’t answer her calls, Mrs. Sterling reluctantly used Moira Young’s phone.

Surprisingly, the call barely rang before it was answered, instantly revealing the disparity.

Her son ignoring her calls yet answering that brat’s immediately nearly made Mrs. Sterling cry out of anger.

"Heath... I can’t move... come save your mother..." Mrs. Sterling’s voice trembled weakly, though minutes ago she was still shouting...
