Chapter 794: Recovering from the shock

5th Zone, Wilderness

A few minutes ago,

On the other hand, Elder Neil Moon and other helpers were near the city. Despite their injuries from earlier, they were ready to help the people.

They saw how the Beast Taming Association Head was handling the matter.

They wanted to intervene, but then they saw the Central University Head watching from the sidelines. He signaled to the others with his eyes not to take action.

Elder Neil Moon and the others understood. Provocation would only make the beast angrier, and then they would receive a more dangerous attack.

But it didn’t take long for them to witness the scene. They saw how the Tier-9 Sky Crocodile was attacked by countless black spears.

Before they could realize what was happening, the Tier-9 Sky Crocodile was captured by something and taken away from the city.

Only then were they relieved.

Meanwhile,

The Governors and various Family Heads had been injured by the Tier-9 Sky Crocodile earlier. They struggled to stand up.

Fortunately, the city had the Beast Taming Association Head and the Central University Head. They were Tier-8 Beast Tamers.

They could stop the Tier-9 Sky Crocodile for a time. They hoped that help from the Human Alliance would arrive soon.

Governors Martin, Leon, Orion, and others were on their way back. They received updates from the Beast Taming Association Head.

Just as they were on their way back, they saw a massive bird-type beast taking away the Sky Crocodile.

It went past, right over their heads. Seeing that, everyone froze on the spot. Martin, Leon, Orion, and the others understood something.

"Help has arrived," Martin thought.

The others let out a visible sigh of relief. Everyone understood that help from the Human Alliance had arrived.

Head Harold and the others saw the scene as well, but their worries were not over yet. They had seen the lightning attacks released by the Tier-9 Sky Crocodile earlier.

They saw that it had landed on the city. They were worried about their families and wanted to go back as soon as possible.

Governor Martin and the others saw the situation of the others.

"Okay. Let’s go back," Martin said.

Hearing that, everyone started going back to the city. It didn’t take long for them to reach it.

They saw the frontline. It was devastating. There were many casualties. Smoke and flames were rising from different parts of the city.

Everyone paused for a moment. The Governors were angry. The Heads of the Beast Taming forces were shocked.

Among the casualties, there were Beast Tamers belonging to their forces as well. They quickly rushed to their sides.

The Governors didn’t stop them. They knew the injured people needed attention.

"You guys can assist your people," the Governors said to the others.

Hearing that, the rest of the Beast Tamers left the place. They went back to their homes. The Governors decided to quell the fires first.

Head Harold, Robert Hill, and other Family Beast Tamers left the place. Head Harold was about to go to the frontline first. He saw Elder Neil Moon. Seeing him, he stopped to meet him.

"Let’s go and rescue the others," Neil Moon said. He knew it was not the time for talk.

In the blink of an eye, they arrived outside and came to the frontline. Harold and Neil Moon swept their gaze across the area.

The frontline situation was devastating. Organs mixed with blood were splattered across the ground. The earth was dyed red.

It didn’t take long for Harold to find the Red Moon Chamber’s Beast Taming teams. He quickly contacted the elders and began the rescue operations.

Neil Moon was looking for Jeremy Night. He was worried. He didn’t know whether Jeremy Night had survived or not.

If something happened to Jeremy Night, he would spend the rest of his life with guilt. He didn’t know what he would tell Jeremy Night’s family.

His gaze swept across the place. It didn’t take long for him to find Jeremy Night. He saw Jeremy Night sitting alone, looking at the devastating scene.

Seeing that, Neil Moon sighed in relief. He then went to meet him, appearing in front of him.

Jeremy Night, who was quiet and observing the place, didn’t expect the appearance of Elder Neil Moon. Upon seeing him, he sighed in relief. He thought Elder Neil Moon had come to assist.

"Kid, how are you coping?" Neil Moon asked.

Jeremy Night heard that, but he didn’t know what to say. He shook his head and remained quiet. Right now, his body needed rest. He had already seen too many things.

Neil Moon saw the reaction and understood the emotions.

He knew the kid had faced a Beast Invasion before, but compared to previous incidents, the death toll in this attack was higher.

The Tier-9 Sky Crocodile had been able to attack the city directly.

It had launched a couple of attacks which decimated buildings. Fortunately, the Lords had arrived at the right time to help out.

If not, the Tier-9 Sky Crocodile would have destroyed the city totally. Neil Moon didn’t say anything for the time being. He simply stood before Jeremy Night.

Right then, one more person saw Jeremy Night. The person was none other than Catherine Rosewood.

She was hurt by the death of her members. Just then, as she was casually looking around, she saw Jeremy Night near the wall.

She was stunned. The next second, her eyes lit up. She hadn’t expected Jeremy Night to survive and return. Finally, she felt some relief.

Time passed,

The rescue efforts were underway. The remains of the deceased were collected by their respective forces and taken back to their families.

Similarly, staff from the Red Moon Chambers arrived. They were collecting the remains of their deceased members.

Elder Neil Moon was called by Head Harold, so he left Jeremy Night’s side.

Jeremy Night had recovered from the shock. He decided to return to the organization. He had already seen Catherine Rosewood and Sister Melinda; they were alright.

He then went to the city gate. People were coming and going. Rescue efforts were in full swing. He walked through the gate and stepped inside the city.

He heard the cries of the people and shouting. Dust and smoke were everywhere. He found a cab driver, entered the car, and sat down in the back seat.

20 minutes later,

The cab departed from the place.
