Chapter 795: Two old men from the Human Alliance

5th Zone, Wilderness

Red Moon Chamber

The car reached the destination a few minutes later. Jeremy stepped outside and paid the fare to the driver. His mood was low.

Jeremy then walked to the building and stepped inside. The next second, he heard a lot of commotion.

Everyone was in a hurry. Seeing that, Jeremy ignored them and went to his room. Soon, he reached his room. He walked in and shut the door.

Then he went straight to the bed and lay down. He didn’t know how long he was going to be resting.

Meanwhile,

Head Harold and Neil Moon were standing in the corridor of the medical facility. The injured people were admitted here.

They were being taken care of by the doctors. Resources were already allocated for their Lifeline beasts as well.

Just then, Head Harold got a message from the staff. He read the message and understood that Jeremy Night had returned.

He then turned towards Neil Moon and said, "The kid is back. He has gone to his room."

Neil Moon sighed in relief. He had been worried about Jeremy Night’s mental state. Seeing that the kid was back, he thought the boy would be fine after taking some rest.

"It might take a long time to recover," Neil Moon commented.

"We are nothing but ants in front of the Tier-9 Beasts," Harold said with anger.

"This situation was weird. Something must have happened in the unexplored area. Normally, Tier-9 beasts won’t attack the city easily," Neil Moon replied.

"The Lords have not returned yet. They might have gone there to inspect," Harold replied. He was calmer than before.

Meanwhile,

Two old men were standing high above the clouds. They were the Tier-9 Beast Tamers from the Human Alliance.

These two old men were looking at the dead body of the Sky Crocodile. The body of the Tier-9 Sky Crocodile was so large that it covered a huge area of land.

One of the old men had short, white hair. The other old man was bald. The bald-headed old man had a wrinkled face. He was older than the white-haired old man.

He was trying to figure out the reasons behind the attack. He knew the Tier-9 Sky Crocodile had caused some damage to the city.

They had arrived a step too late. Many people had died because of the attack. That’s why they killed the beast without communicating.

If they had tried to communicate, the beast might have answered something. But he had killed the beast out of rage. If he needed a clue, then he needed to enter the unexplored area.

The old man then turned towards the white-haired old man.

"I’m going inside the unexplored area to investigate. You go back to the city and monitor the place." After saying that, the bald-headed old man went inside.

The white-haired old man had been quiet from the beginning. He was the junior of the other old man, so he listened to him.

Boom!

The next second, the white-haired old man began to destroy the corpse of the Tier-9 Sky Crocodile.

He couldn’t afford to leave it just like that, because other beasts could consume the flesh and blood of the Tier-9 Sky Crocodile to grow stronger.

They couldn’t allow that to happen. It took him a few minutes to destroy the corpse. He carried a solution with him; it was a product of the Human Alliance.

You couldn’t get it from anywhere other than the Human Alliance. The massive corpse turned into a pool of pungent liquid. After destroying the corpse, he returned to the city.

He saw the destruction and damage done to the city. He also heard the cries for help from people who were stuck in the rubble.

"We should have arrived faster," he said to himself. Though both of them hadn’t stopped anywhere and had been traveling at top speed, they were still one step late.

"Sigh!"

A sigh escaped from his mouth. He then looked at the admin building and headed there next. When he got there, officials greeted him.

The Governors were busy in the rescue efforts. He didn’t disturb them; he went to the main office and began to wait there.

Governors Martin, Orion, and Leon were using their Lifeline beasts to remove the rubble.

They received news from the officials that a Lord from the Human Alliance had arrived, but they didn’t leave immediately. They knew the Lord wouldn’t mind. They continued with their rescue efforts.

On the other hand, the bald-headed old man had entered the unexplored area. He was going deeper, where the Governors didn’t even dare to step.

Swoosh!

The old man was swiftly moving through the air. On the way, he saw corpses of beasts on the ground. They were scattered everywhere, their bodies torn apart by higher-tier beasts.

"What’s going on?" the bald-headed old man asked himself.

He saw that the corpses did not belong to lower-tier beasts; they were those of higher-tier beasts.

For a second, he thought the Governors might have done this with their Lifeline beasts, but he soon found out that he was wrong.

He saw a massive corpse of a giant beast lying on the ground ahead. The pressure coming from the massive corpse stunned him because it was the pressure of a Tier-9 Corrupted Beast.

He flew high in the sky to identify the beast. He saw that the beast seemed similar to a ground-type giant bear beast. It didn’t take long for him to recognize the beast.

"Giant Ground Bear," he thought.

The old man was frozen in mid-air. His whole body was trembling in fear. He made sure that no other beasts were nearby.

After confirming that the place was safe, he then shifted his gaze back to the corpse. He saw the wounds on the corpse. They were caused by a single beast, not by multiple beasts.

He didn’t know if a single Tier-9 beast could take down the Giant Bear. The Giant Bear was known as the strongest beast among the Tier-9 category.

He wanted to know which beast could attack and kill the Giant Beast. The old man got curious; he wanted to find out the answer before going back.
