STRIKER: Independent Beast Tamer-Chapter 791: Sky Crocodile attacks the city
5th Zone, Wilderness
The Governors were succeeding in pushing back the Tier-9 Sky Crocodile. Just then, they thought everything was going fine.
The Tier-9 Sky Crocodile used its ability. The beast's entire body was covered in blue lightning.
The next second, the sky crocodile felt a surge in strength. Its massive body collided with the massive tornado.
Boom!
The tornado was destroyed a moment later, and the force of the wind swept across the area.
The Governors and the others were taken aback. Their expressions changed drastically, their eyes filling with surprise and fear. All the lifeline beasts let out their roars again.
Roar!
This time, the eagle-type lifeline beast tried to use its wings again, but the Tier-9 Sky Crocodile evaded the attack. No wind attack from the sky eagle touched the crocodile.
Everyone watched the fight, feeling powerless.
"It's going to be troublesome," Governor Martin said in a serious tone.
"The beasts are exhausted; they can't endure any longer," Orion said from the side.
"We don't have other options. We have to stop the beasts at all costs," Leon said from the other side.
Their conditions were not good, either. Their lifeline beasts were struggling to stop the sky crocodile.
Swoosh!
The massive body surged past the eagle beast. As it went by, powerful blue lightning released from its body. In a flash, the lightning struck the eagle.
Boom!
Multiple explosions rocked its body. The Flying Eagle beast let out a roar as the lightning rampaged through its form. Skin and flesh were torn apart.
Puchak!
Blood spurted from the wounds.
Shriek!
The Flying Eagle let out a final scream before collapsing onto the ground. The other lifeline beasts faced the attack as well; the powerful strike didn't spare them. Lightning bolts fell on their bodies one after another.
AAAhhh!
Three Governors and the family head beast tamers faced a backlash before hitting the ground. All of them were injured because of the connection.
If their lifeline beasts continued to take harm, their mental zones would be permanently damaged.
Swoosh!
Seizing the opportunity, the sky crocodile rushed toward the city. Seeing that, the blood drained from everyone's faces.
"No…" Governor Martin uttered in shock.
The faces of Leon and Orion were pale as well. They couldn't move their bodies; they were overly exhausted. They could only watch as the sky crocodile moved toward the city.
Head Harold and the others were petrified on the spot. Their condition was dire. They were injured and finally understood why Tier-9 beasts were considered so dangerous.
There might only be a single rank between them, but the power difference was vast.
Right then, Head Neil Moon and others arrived to help the Governors. They witnessed the entire scene: the Governors and family heads lying defeated on the ground.
Head Neil Moon swept his gaze across the people. His eyes fell on Head Harold. He rushed to Harold's side.
"Stop the beast," Harold uttered.
Hearing that, old man Neil turned toward the sky. He saw that the dark clouds were now closing in on the city. He understood the situation. They had all been defeated by the Tier-9 beast.
Swoosh!
The next second, Neil Moon and the others followed from behind. The Tier-9 Sky Crocodile sensed the human beast tamers following it and released massive lightning once again.
Boom!
Lightning bolts shot toward the group. Head Neil's lifeline beast evaded the attack, but the bolts landed on the ground, causing massive explosions. The shockwaves spread across the area.
All the Tier-8 beast tamers and their lifeline beasts were pushed backward, unable to catch up to the Tier-9 beast.
In the blink of an eye, the dark clouds appeared above the city.
The downpour was heavy. On the front lines, the beast tamers felt an unknown pressure weighing down on them. The pressure was so great that everyone stopped fighting for a second.
The supervisors and elders understood these were not natural black clouds because lightning was arcing out from them. Everyone could see something hidden inside the darkness.
The massive silhouette sent a cold shiver down everyone's spines. The people in the city were alarmed.
The heavy downpour threatened to flood the streets. They didn't know how these black clouds had covered the city so suddenly.
No Governors were present in the city to protect them.
Swoosh!
The Central University Head and the Beast Taming Association Head left their buildings and appeared in mid-air. As Tier-8 beast tamers, they saw what was hidden inside the black clouds.
"It's going to attack. Be careful," the Beast Taming Association Head said.
The next second, he released his lifeline beast. Thorny vines appeared in the sky, massive and long. They covered the top of the city right below the dark clouds like a spiderweb.
The city was huge, yet the vines stretched endlessly, entangling with each other to provide a safety net.
The higher-ups of various organizations recognized the thorny vines. The people of the Association, especially, knew their head had taken action to protect the city.
Alarm!
The whole city was on high alert. They understood a powerful beast had entered their territory. The Central University Head and other forces were shocked; they realized the Governors must have failed to stop the threat.
The situation was critical. The Central University Head didn't take action immediately; he continued to watch from the sidelines.
They knew the temperament of a Tier-9 beast, if it was provoked further, it would unleash its main attack, which the city could not withstand. 𝒻𝘳ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝒷𝘯ℴ𝓋ℯ𝘭.𝑐ℴ𝑚
Boom!
The Sky Crocodile released its attack. Purple lightning covered its whole body. A moment later, a wave of lightning power surged outward.
Boom!
The lightning bolts spread across the city. Most of the attack was endured by the green vines, yet there were still gaps where the lightning slipped through and struck the buildings below.
Boom!
One after another explosion occurs. An earth shattering noise sounded across the place.
The lightning bolts destroyed the whole building in an instant. There was nothing left on the ground except the rubble.
