STRIKER: Independent Beast Tamer-Chapter 792: Part 1: Terror in the city
5th Zone, Wilderness
Jeremy Night forgot about the outside world. The natural energy liquid in the pond began to decrease.
An unknown beast egg had consumed the energy non-stop. Soon, the pond became dry.
He sensed the situation. He observed the mental zone. He didn't know whether he would receive the feedback energy or not.
After waiting for some time, he didn't get any feedback. He opened his eyes. Then he saw his body was covered in small impurities.
He stood up and walked out of the pond. He needed to find a water source to clean himself.
He then used his x-ray vision. The whole passage became transparent. Then he came to the exit of the passage. 𝐟𝚛𝕖𝚎𝕨𝗲𝐛𝚗𝐨𝐯𝐞𝕝.𝐜𝗼𝗺
His gaze swept across the place. He saw the bottom of the fissure was closer; it had a water source.
But Jeremy decided to do otherwise. He decided to find another water source on the surface.
More importantly, he recalled the battle. The battle might be ongoing, so he needed to go back to the surface.
After figuring it out, he started climbing upwards.
…
City A
Green thorny vines covered the sky. The vines were entangled with each other. They were formed in such a way that they appeared to be a spider web.
It was like a net. Not a single thing could escape if it gets trapped.
Boom!
Like a pulsating wave, the Tier-9 Sky Crocodile released a lightning attack. Several thousand lightning bolts struck the thorny vine net.
Boom!
A deafening noise occurred. The noise was many times louder than before.
It shook and injured the ears of many people. Not only that, escaped lightning bolts smashed the building infrastructure in many places.
Boom!
The buildings exploded and nearby places were engulfed in flames. The raging flames affected nearby neighborhoods and businesses.
Multiple explosions were heard in different parts of the city. Among the destroyed building structures, one belonged to the Hill Family.
If Robert Hill were here, he would have collapsed.
The Hill Family suffered the most casualties. Those who were outside escaped, but those who were inside the buildings died or were injured.
It was a great blow to the Hills; Young Master Tyson Hill was caught in the attack. He was injured, and his family rushed him to the clinic.
The faces of the various heads changed drastically. They had tried to stop the lightning attacks, but they were unable to stop them all.
The Central University Head clenched his fists. He saw smoke and flames from various parts of the city.
Even parts of the Central University buildings were damaged. He didn't want to provoke the Tier-9 Sky Crocodile.
If the Tier-9 Sky Crocodile went all out, then the whole city would be toast.
"Why are the lords taking so much time?" he asked himself.
He had requested help earlier. He got the message that help had already been dispatched.
Thunderclap!
A thunderclap occurred. The downpour of heavy rain intensified. The Tier-9 Sky Crocodile was going to make a move again.
Seeing that, everyone was shocked. They were not ready for another wave of attack.
But what no one noticed was the expression of the Beast Taming Association Head. His vine-type lifeline beast was injured after withstanding the multiple lightning bolts.
If this went on, the vine would get severely hurt and he would receive the backlash.
But apart from him, no one was suitable to stop the lightning attacks from the Sky Crocodile. If he recklessly attacked the beast, it would lead to an unwanted situation.
Boom!
Right then, a black sphere appeared in the sky. It went whistling through the air.
In a shot, it pierced the black clouds and struck the body of the Tier-9 Sky Crocodile.
…
Time passed.
It was nighttime when he came to the surface. He was extremely tired. He was wary of the Wind Wolf; he didn't want to fight against a Tier-6 Wind Wolf in the nighttime.
So, he found his bearings and started going back to the city. If he found a water source on the way, he would clean himself. Otherwise, his first goal was to reach the city.
Boom!
Not long after, he came across corrupted beasts. These corrupted beasts were part of the beast tide.
Seeing that, the blood on Jeremy Night's face drained. He didn't expect the beast tide to continue until this day. He was stunned.
When he thought about the city, his expression changed drastically. He feared that the frontline had been breached.
He didn't know about the others, but he hoped the Red Moon Chamber people were safe.
He hid behind a shade tree. He lowered his presence so that the beasts wouldn't find him. As long as Tier-6 beasts and above didn't appear, he was safe.
Right now, the tide had a large number of lower-tier beasts. He waited for a gap to appear so he could leave.
Time passed.
After hundreds of lower-tier beasts had left, there was a small pause. Jeremy used his eye power to scan the place. He used his x-ray vision to confirm that there were no other beasts coming.
Swoosh!
Taking the opportunity, he fled from the place. He rushed towards the frontline.
He used "Explosive Steps." His speed was faster than before. While rushing back, he found corrupted beasts ahead. He unsheathed his blade and covered it in starlight thread.
In a flash, the katana edge was covered in the thread.
Puchak!
His body moved past a four-legged, fox-type corrupted beast. The corrupted beast was agile, but he used his eye power to launch a precise strike.
Cut!
The katana blade flashed before the fox beast's eyes. The next second, the blade sliced through the neck of the beast.
The decapitated head rolled over the ground. A torrent of blood gushes forth from the wound.
Swoosh!
Jeremy then moved past the area. He didn't even spare a glance at the dead beast.
He ran fast. He saw the city wall an hour later, but he froze the next second because he saw a terrifying sight.
Part of the city wall was damaged. Dust and smoke were rising from different places.
