Chapter 112: Episode 5 Chapter 15 Miss Li’er

He didn’t know how long it had been, but Qin Yu gradually began to feel the presence of his body. He moved his fingers, and in just a short while, the feeling of complete control over his body returned. A slight smile appeared on Qin Yu’s face.

Upon opening his eyes, what appeared before him was a ceiling made of bamboo.

"This isn’t Shanhu Mountain!"

Qin Yu’s face drastically changed, and he abruptly sat up, his eyes flashing with keen light. In an instant, his gaze swept around the room, capturing all the details of his surroundings in his heart. It was a very quiet bamboo house with not a single person in sight.

Originally, Qin Yu was hidden within Shanhu Mountain, but waking up to find himself in a bamboo house, how could Qin Yu not be shocked? He immediately used his Spiritual Sense to inspect the state of himself, including his soul and the Dantian.

Noticing that his body didn’t have any discomfort, Qin Yu inwardly heaved a sigh of relief.

While in the state of being healed by Meteor Tear, Qin Yu was utterly defenseless and had not the slightest capacity to resist. Looking at it now, the person who had brought him here hadn’t done any harm or placed any restrictions on him.

Qin Yu looked outside the house and was surprised to find that beyond the bamboo house was endless sea water. It seemed that there were Restrictions outside the bamboo house, completely shielding all the sea water and protecting the bamboo house from any influence. Qin Yu’s Spiritual Sense unfolded.

The bamboo house had three rooms in the front, three in the back, and a courtyard in the center. There wasn’t a trace of sea water within the range of the bamboo house’s courtyard, yet outside the bamboo house were endless waves, and at that moment, not a single person was in the courtyard of the bamboo house.

"Who is the master of this place?" Qin Yu got off the bed and left the room. Just as Qin Yu stepped off the bed, his Spiritual Sense sensed someone approaching from outside the courtyard, and he immediately stepped out of the room in two strides.

Composed!

Seeing the man before him, Qin Yu’s first impression was of the man’s composure; those calm eyes seemed capable of piercing directly into one’s soul. The man appeared to be around forty years old by mortal standards.

"Young brother, you’re awake?" the man said with a smile.

Qin Yu was wary in his heart; he had no idea when he had been rescued. If he had been rescued right after being injured, the other party surely knew how severe his injuries were: a shattered spleen, massive damage to the liver, and a huge hole in the abdomen—he was undoubtedly doomed to die.

Now that he was alive again, an ordinary person would definitely be surprised.

"My name is Liu Xing; I don’t know who you are... ah, you are a human!" Qin Yu was greatly surprised. He had just swept his Spiritual Sense and found that the man in front of him had not a trace of Demon Qi, and Qin Yu simply could not detect the man’s level of Cultivation.

According to what Qin Yu knew, his Spiritual Sense should at least be able to detect up to the Early-stage Nascent Soul; this man before him was at least at the Nascent Soul Middle Stage.

"You can call me ’Uncle Lan’, yes, I indeed am a human, well... you can think of me as a Cultivator," Uncle Lan said with a calm smile.

Qin Yu was very astonished in his heart; a Cultivator daring to enter the seafloor was always at risk of life. Even those with high Cultivation levels would not dare to stay long under the sea, considering the many powerful Undersea Demon Cultivators.

"Uncle Lan, you are a Cultivator, how come you are under the sea?" Qin Yu asked, puzzled.

However, Qin Yu failed to notice the subtle implication in Uncle Lan’s earlier words ’you can think of me as a Cultivator.’ If he were truly a Cultivator, why would he say so ambiguously? But at that moment, Qin Yu, worried about his secret of Meteor Tear being discovered and astonished that Uncle Lan was human, naturally overlooked this discrepancy.

"I’m under the sea because Miss Li’er likes the environment here, so I brought her along," Uncle Lan, who seemed to have a good impression of Qin Yu, smilingly explained.

"Miss Li’er?" Qin Yu thought to himself.

"It was Miss Li’er who saved you and brought you back. She’s out now, though. Come, try the tea I’ve prepared," Uncle Lan said warmly, and then led Qin Yu straight to the central courtyard, where they sat facing each other.

Uncle Lan brewed two cups of tea, and Qin Yu started to chat casually with him.

Although the conversation was light-hearted, Qin Yu was constantly worried whether his secrets had been discovered. He had sustained such severe injuries yet had not died—if it had been a normal Cultivator, wouldn’t they have been shocked and curious?

"Uncle Lan."

A refined voice sounded, and Qin Yu turned his head to look.

Black as ink and brilliant enough to reflect one’s face, her long hair cascaded down. Those eyes gave a tranquil feeling, her skin was clear as jade, and she wore a loose green robe with a white belt cinched tight around her waist.

In her left hand, she was holding a bamboo basket filled with some herbs.

"Mr. Liu Xing, this is Miss Li’er, the one who saved you," Uncle Lan said with a smile.

Qin Yu, who had once been a princely heir, was used to having beautiful maids at home. As for Miss Li’er in front of him... to be honest, although her complexion was clear as jade and she had an elegant demeanor, her facial features could only be considered slightly above average.

"Miss Li’er, thank you for saving my life," Qin Yu said with a slight bow.

However, Qin Yu was very wary at that moment. He did not know exactly when Miss Li’er had saved him. If she had saved him when his injuries were mostly healed and Miss Li’er hadn’t noticed his fatal injuries, that would be for the best.

"Mr. Liu Xing, you don’t need to thank me. Although I brought you here, even if I hadn’t intervened, you would have healed on your own," Miss Li’er said, her bright eyes looking at Qin Yu, a rare hint of curiosity in her calm eyes.

Qin Yu suddenly frowned.

Qin Yu realized that in the past, a Meteor Tear would normally emit only a thin stream of warmth to soothe the soul, but now it was producing two or three times the normal amount. He didn’t know why, specifically when Miss Li’er appeared, the heat flow from his Meteor Tear had increased.

"Mr. Liu Xing and Uncle Lan can keep talking here. I will go back to my room," Miss Li’er said softly and then walked towards the three bamboo houses at the back, directly entering one of them. These three front bamboo houses were Miss Li’er’s, while Uncle Lan was in the front three.

Qin Yu was now occupying one of them.

"Uncle Lan, Miss Li’er doesn’t seem to have high cultivation. How can you rest assured letting her wander alone in the Undersea Demon Cultivator World?" Qin Yu asked with a smile as he sipped his tea. He had briefly surveyed with his Spiritual Sense and discovered that Miss Li’er only possessed the power of an early-stage Golden Core.

Early-stage Golden Core, and moreover, a human Cultivator. That level of power was indeed very dangerous in the Undersea Demon Cultivator World.

Uncle Lan closed his eyes to savor the taste of his tea, then smiled and said, "Miss Li’er has some special skills. Although she can’t defeat other Demon Cultivators, she has no problem protecting herself in the Undersea Demon Cultivator World."

"Special skills?" Qin Yu noted mentally.

Just now, upon meeting Miss Li’er, Qin Yu still felt a hint of fondness.

Suddenly—

A serene melody began to play, like the tinkling of a spring or majestic rivers, bringing a wave of freshness and tranquility. Unconsciously, Qin Yu set down his wine cup and closed his eyes to carefully feel the music. Uncle Lan by his side did the same.

The melody then soared, like the waves of the ocean assaulting in bursts. After a long time, the music changed again, resembling an endless sea of forests with the sound of pines surging through. Finally, with a single note, Qin Yu felt as if he had entered a snowy domain.

It was as if the whole world were blanketed in white snow.

The music stopped, and it took a long while for Qin Yu to recover.

Qin Yu opened his eyes, feeling a deep peace within. Since he had rashly entered the Undersea Demon Cultivator World, Qin Yu had suffered much, being pursued by Sang Mo and even battling a Red Blood Python. It had been an unceasing path of hardships.

At this moment here, however, Qin Yu’s heart found a rare quietude.

"Miss Li’er’s qin skills are definitely of a grandmaster level," Qin Yu sincerely marveled. He had once listened to renowned Qin Masters perform in the Prince Mansion, but compared to Miss Li’er, Qin Yu felt they were on completely different levels.

Uncle Lan’s face showed a hint of pride as he said, "Her qin skills are top-notch even among our people. Being able to hear her play is also a part of your destiny."

Having heard just this one piece, Qin Yu felt as though his mindset had been cleansed. The killings he had encountered recently had rendered his spirit brutally fierce, yet this one piece of music seemed to elevate his mindset.

"Miss Li’er’s qin skills also represent her spiritual cultivation from one perspective. I feel like Miss Li’er’s spiritual cultivation might be very high," Qin Yu wondered aloud.

The grandeur and serenity contained within the music, even giving Qin Yu a sense of being there in person, indicated such mastery; how could her spiritual cultivation be low? Yet how could such a person only be at the Early Stage Golden Core?

Uncle Lan smiled and said, "Li’er is not interested in cultivation. Although she is extremely talented and could have surpassed me long ago if she chose to cultivate, she prefers not to, which is why her cultivation is still limited."

Then Qin Yu understood.

Spiritual Sense does not deceive; Miss Li’er was indeed only at the Early Stage Golden Core.

"Sister Li’er!"

With a loud shout, an ape rushed in from outside. Qin Yu only saw a flash of gold, and a standing ape appeared before him. With a sweep of his Spiritual Sense, Qin Yu was startled to find that the ape had reached the Middle Stage Nascent Soul.

Only then was Qin Yu certain of one thing: his Spiritual Sense should be comparable to that of the Middle Stage Nascent Soul. As Qin Yu observed the ape, the ape also glanced back at him.

"Ha ha... So this is the injured person that Sister Li’er brought back. Let me introduce myself first, my name is Hou Fei, ha ha... In terms of strength, I’m higher than you!" Having said this, the ape scratched its head and burst into laughter.

Uncle Lan abruptly scolded: "Shaggy Ape, be polite to the guest."

The ape heeded the earlier imperious tone and immediately paused, saying, "Master, there are hardly any experts in this valley. Although the current person’s cultivation isn’t high, he can still spar with me. None of the other demon beasts in the valley dare to fight me."

Qin Yu was secretly alarmed.

It turned out that this Nascent Soul Middle Stage ape was Uncle Lan’s disciple. If even the disciple had reached the Nascent Soul Middle Stage, how strong was Uncle Lan? At least Qin Yu could not see through him, nor could he accurately estimate his power.

"All you know is how to fight and cause trouble, be quiet," Uncle Lan said sternly, and Hou Fei immediately stood silently aside.

Uncle Lan smiled and said to Qin Yu, "Liu Xing, don’t take Hou Fei’s playful antics too seriously. However, he is a Divine Beast, ’Fire-Eyed Water Ape,’ and I reckon you can’t find another one like him in the Undersea Demon Cultivator World."

Qin Yu was very surprised in his heart.

A Divine Beast, and specifically a Fire-Eyed Water Ape. Qin Yu’s secret books had mentioned some divine beasts, but they contained no mention of the ’Fire-Eyed Water Ape.’ However, Qin Yu didn’t doubt Uncle Lan’s words.

"Gaga, I am a unique Divine Beast, yet Master won’t let me leave the valley, saying my cultivation is too low, hmph," Hou Fei hummed from the side.

Qin Yu felt another surge in his heart.

Cultivation too low? Not allowing a Nascent Soul Middle Stage Divine Beast to leave the valley meant Uncle Lan’s standards for his disciples were indeed high. After all, divine beasts can’t be judged solely by their realm; they are generally more than ten times stronger than cultivators of the same level.

A Nascent Soul Middle Stage Divine Beast could be compared to a cultivator in the Cave Void Realm.

...

In this bamboo house courtyard, Qin Yu and Uncle Lan chatted for a long while. For some reason, Uncle Lan seemed particularly interested in Qin Yu; despite being so powerful, he preferred talking to Qin Yu over his own disciple Hou Fei for a good part of the day.

And Hou Fei was also compelled by Uncle Lan to call Qin Yu ’Big Brother’. Just like initially when Hou Fei was forced to call Miss Li’er ’Sister’.

In the room where Qin Yu stayed, he told Uncle Lan not to let anyone enter his room, as he needed to cultivate. Uncle Lan didn’t say anything more and immediately set up a restriction around the room, but Qin Yu was unaffected and could come and go as he pleased.

"Compared to Hou Fei, my own strength is sadly lacking, not to mention compared with Uncle Lan," felt Qin Yu, and he decided to refine the Nascent Soul of the Red Blood Water Python.

Qin Yu’s Spiritual Sense entered the Space Ring; inside the vast space of the ring, there lay the enormous corpse of a Red Blood Water Python. Stirred by a thought, a mysterious purple light appeared in Qin Yu’s palm.

In the purple light was a Nascent Soul, devoid of spirit, resembling an energy crystal.

Qin Yu sat cross-legged, the Nascent Soul floating before him. Enigmatic Star Power surged out, forming a swirling nebula that enveloped the Nascent Soul, while a bloom of True Star Fire also encased it, beginning the slow melting of the Nascent Soul. Impurities were refined, and energy began to circulate in the swirl of Star Power...
