Apocalypse Landlord: My Tenants Are All Beautiful Heroines.-Chapter 55: Aurdeus Von Alucard
"I finally found you, my lord..." Mila whispered, choking on her voice.
"That... voice—"
The next moment, a blinding light erupted from Mila’s body. Her fingers dug into the floor as her body began to change.
First, her hair grew out, shining like snow. Simultaneously, two bumps formed on her head and turned into triangular ears. They twitched as if adjusting to the environment around them.
Tails pushed out from her behind, covered in the same silvery fur as the one on her ears. Only after the ninth tail appeared did Mila raise her head.
"Your humble servant greets thee, Demon Lord Aurdeus Von Alucard," Mila announced, getting up to kneel before Aiden, her head once again bowed before him.
"Aurdeus Von Alucard..." Aiden chuckled, shaking his head. "Never thought I would hear that name in this world."
Mila stayed rooted to the spot, her head bowed low, waiting for Aiden to acknowledge her. Instead of doing that, he walked to the table and sat down.
"Milarel, take a seat."
"My lord, I could never—"
"Sit!"
Milarel got up and elegantly sat on his left, as she always did. As soon as she got seated, Aiden’s hand went to scratch the back of her ears.
"Still as fluffy as always," he said, smiling.
"I have been diligently taking care of the gift you bestowed on my lowly self, my lord!" she replied, holding back the urge to purr.
The scene was nostalgic. Back when he transmigrated to Otherworld, Milarel had been the one stroking his head. Now that she was in his world, he was doing the same to her.
"Where’s your uniform?" he asked.
"My lord... I didn’t migrate with it—"
Aiden flicked her forehead playfully before smiling.
"It was a trick question, and you fell for it again. How would you carry clothes when you couldn’t even carry your body?"
Milarel didn’t reply, just pouted and turned away, leading to another laugh from Aiden.
Each of the demon king’s children was assigned a guard and a maid. In Aiden’s case, Milarel was both. She was an assassin, but a terrible one at that.
That was the reason she was assigned to him, someone deemed equally useless. Hence, when Aiden suffered, she did so alongside him.
It was to be expected. You can’t assign a support role to an assassin role and expect them to excel.
Milarel shone when it came to using support magic and interrogations. Her charm skill could even make a celibate saint drool with lust, let alone getting someone to talk. 𝚏𝗿𝗲𝐞𝐰𝚎𝕓𝐧𝚘𝘃𝗲𝐥.𝐜𝚘𝕞
It went without saying that she played a crucial role in Aiden’s ascension as a demon lord and kept serving him until her demise decades before Aiden’s. He still remembered shedding a tear that day.
"When did you get here?" Aiden asked.
After all, despite all the time he spent in the Otherworld terrorizing the system-gods, none of them revealed the secret of transmigration to him.
Perhaps they were afraid of the havoc he would cause in alternate worlds if they let him loose. Little did they know, he just wanted to get away from all of them.
"On the day of the apocalypse, My Lord. I suddenly found myself in the body of this young woman and realized it was the world you spoke so fondly of."
Aiden did remember that.
Back when he was young, he told Milarel all about Earth. From technology, to places, to his life. Back then, Milarel chalked it all up to a child’s imagination.
It wasn’t until he grew up that Milarel realized her young master wasn’t lying, and that he indeed came from a different world.
They were in the middle of reminiscing about the past when he realized something. Back when he transmigrated back to Earth, he thought it was because he was an earthling, so it was possible.
However, if Milarel had appeared here, along with the monsters, then could it be that the monsters came to earth from the Otherworld too?
If they could come, then what’s stopping the system-gods and those useless heroes from doing the same?
System!
[Eek!]
You, bitch! When were you planning on telling me about it?
[Um... would the benevolent host believe me if I said I’m only just finding out myself?]
Bullshit!
[System error 404! System in recovery mode. ZZZ...]
Aiden swore to beat those system gods again if they dared to show their faces in his world. Though he wouldn’t dislike seeing familiar faces like Milarel, either.
They would make enacting his plans a lot easier.
"My lord? Is something causing you distress?"
"Just thinking about something," Aiden replied, shaking his head. "You died decades before I left the Otherworld, yet you appeared on earth a year ago. Perhaps the time between two worlds isn’t linear like I thought."
Since two years had passed for two centuries on the otherworld, Aiden assumed one year on earth meant a century in the Otherworld. But that wasn’t the case, given Milarel’s transmigration.
Ignoring that thought, Aiden turned his attention toward Milarel.
"Now that you’re here, what are you planning to do next?"
"Serve you, my lord! Everything I did in this life was for your sake!"
"Oh? Is that so? What would you have done if I had never returned?"
"...I would spend all my life waiting for you," Milarel replied with a straight face. "If not in this world, I would keep jumping worlds until I found you again, My lord."
As if sensing Milarel was losing her cool, he pulled her head, resting it on his shoulder.
"You’re a fool, you know that?" he chuckled. "Also, how did a proper woman like you make a brothel in this world? The last time I checked, you were too shy to even see me naked."
"M-My lord, please don’t tease this servant!"
Aiden gave a hearty laugh, watching her squirm. Back in the Otherworld, she was the one he lost his v-card to, and yet she was the one still acting shy even after all those years.
The urge to tease her more took hold of Aiden as he forced her to look at him.
"Do you want to try me again?" he whispered.
"EEK!" Milarel jumped, turning into her small fox form. "Master! You mustn’t think of such thoughts after seeing me in this form!"
