Star Gate-Chapter 1416: Resurrection (III)
In the airspace over Silver Moon.
Li Hao looked at the endless stars in the sky with immense resignation. This would be a very difficult task!
What a pity that he hadn’t possessed his current strength at the battle of Boundless. He could’ve identified their dao stars when they were still alive. Things would be much easier now.
While the situation was defeating, Li Hao focused on operating his cultivation methods. He knew all of Silver Moon’s martial methods and breathing methods. The Five Styles roared to life!
Ripples similar to the beating of a heart spread throughout the world; everyone seemed to breathe in unison in this moment.
Domineering five auras swept through the land!
A ferocious tiger raised its head and howled through the woods. It patrolled the four directions!
However, there were just too many stars in the world. Those that belonged to the dead didn’t respond as well to the breathing method. Had their bearers been alive, Li Hao would’ve already sensed it long ago.
The young man wanted to use simple techniques to locate his people, but reality proved that this was very hard to do so!
In that case, he had to employ more complicated solutions.
Li Hao took a deep breath and summoned a leaping river. The frothing waters shook the world and raised a response from the dao universe.
A star appeared within the river, one that sparkled in the center of Li Hao’s forehead. He was as if a celestial being from on high!
“Reverse!” he shouted. His longsword erupted with iridescent radiance and various images manifested over the weapon. It trembled, possibly out of fear!
The eight heritage weapons suddenly appeared among the images! One of them was the Nine Segment Whip that Boundless had taken shape as.
Li Hao reached toward the whip, his hand piercing through to the past. The river of time shook so violently that a cat at the end of the waters abruptly turned back. It saw Li Hao and seemed to see straight through the young man!
Displeasure flickered in the cat’s eyes, but it looked reluctantly at the figure next to it. It meowed, then plopped its massive body down on the river so that the waters could shake no more.
Close at hand, Celestial Pole cursed irritably to himself!
Damn that Li Hao!
Li Hao didn’t say anything, he simply raised his head for a look at the Star Gate emblazoned in the sky. Wisps of thunderclouds were appearing around the Star Gate. They were very, very faint, but Li Hao raised an eyebrow all the same.
He suddenly had an idea in mind—Silver Moon must be covered in thunderclouds right now! The chaos tribulation is still here!
That was both good and bad.
The good was that although Red Moon powerhouses might be waiting outside the Star Gate, they wouldn’t dare make a move after seeing the chaos tribulation. Not even an exalted emperor would be able to stand up to the fury of one.
The bad was that if he went out there, he would absolutely be smote to death!
Granted, the thunderclouds might completely obscure Silver Moon’s existence. In that case, whether it was New Martial or Red Moon, neither side would be able to locate Silver Moon world.
“Gan Wuliang!” Li Hao called out softly.
The resigned man immediately turned dao stars into great dao and materialized his illusory dao universe in the firmament. It hovered in the air, blotting out the land. The thunderclouds seeping in through the Star Gate seemed to lose their target, but what remained continued to gather slowly.
Gan Wuliang watched with his heart in his mouth, deathly afraid that a thunderbolt would come sizzling for him. This was... not something to provoke. It’d taken out people like Bone Eclipse and Li Daoheng, which made its fearsome might all the more apparent.
The Nine Segment Whip was in Li Hao’s hand. “Reverse!” he grunted. He wished to return to the day in which those people died in battle.
The river shook violently. Although Number Two held it down at one end, the shudders were growing more pronounced. The cat turned to look at Li Hao, he looked back at it.
“I seek to revive some of my family and friends, so that I can immerse myself in the past like the senior has. Can the senior lend me a hand?”
Number Two remained staring at him from the other end of time. It didn’t respond and only grew larger, firmly lying down on the entire river. The river undulated wildly, ready to wash over a half step emperor and drown them. But with the force from the cat, it couldn’t budge a single bit.
The cat was incredible!
Time flowed in reverse in front of Li Hao! Scenes from the battle of Boundless appeared in front of him, as did the forms of each Silver Moon martial master. Time froze in that moment!
The young man looked on solemnly, permitting the river of time to wash over him. His long locks whipped through the wind, then floated gently back down. He suddenly reached into the image and grabbed someone, bringing them to the present. He would use them to locate their dao stars!
Celestial Pole’s expression shifted drastically and he jerked his head upward. Bringing someone out of the past truly was defying the heavens. The immaterial universe would not be able to conceal that!
As expected, thunderclouds roiled in when Li Hao grabbed the first person. They blotted out the sun. Gan Wuliang trembled, finding it hard to breathe. He wasn’t about to die, wasn’t he?
Oh my fuck! The chaos tribulation’s coming!
Li Hao frowned and looked upon him. Although the river was stable, the tribulation sought to stop him. And yet... could he be stopped?
A ray of sword intent appeared in his river—the thunder and lightning left behind by Li Daoheng. Li Hao’s longsword appeared in his hand—the Firmament Sword. The thunderous sword intent sank straight into the sword.
“Go!” The longsword sailed forth and became another Li Hao. Sword intent filled the void, piercing through the universe and racing for the end of the world. Thunder and lightning appeared from above in response; the Firmament Sword brimmed with its own power and cleaved through the firmament with one stroke!
Boom!
An enormous impact rang through the world. Li Hao didn’t even bother checking the aftermath. He yanked out the first person—they looked around blankly when they emerged in present time and promptly disintegrated. Their ashes melded with the dao universe.
An extremely dim star within the hundreds of millions suddenly pulsed with light.
Li Hao’s face brightened! It’s there!
He reached forward and retrieved the star. The young man’s initial thoughts had been to quickly revitalize each person he located, but he thought better of the idea when he looked at the sky. Time was of the essence here. He could do a mass revival at the end.
Li Hao once more reached into the past, but his hand instantly withered away to the bone. He didn't mind and grabbed the next person.
Everyone around him looked intently at the second one to come out. Was that... Southern Fist?
He Yong also disintegrated as soon as he emerged, becoming part of the dao universe. Another star pulsed with light.
Li Hao beamed brightly! He ignored the tribulation overhead and stretched his hand into the dao universe, collecting another dao star by his side.
He repeated his actions numerous times, yanking out shadows and incorporating them into the dao universe. The process seemed incredibly easy, but even the Firmament Sword was unable to withstand the chaos tribulation.
The Li Hao copy returned to being a sword with char marks all over it. Seeing that a thunderbolt was about to crash into it, Gan Wuliang yelped as thunder and lightning spread throughout the immaterial dao universe. He nearly fell to pieces from the blow, and this was from him obscuring the world!
Under normal conditions, chaos tribulations would not attack irrelevant personnel. But since Gan Wuliang was blocking the tribulation in his capacity as a master of dao, the tribulation included him in its attack range!
Li Hao sweated profusely beneath; stars hovered around him. Quite a few had died at Boundless—Yuan Shuo, Hou Xiaochen, Liu Long, Yu Luocha, He Yong, Yao Si, Golden Spear, Thunderleg, Kong Jie, Crazed Demon Blade, Thunderbolt Fist, the previous generation Iron Shirt...
All of them had fallen in battle, which immensely weakened Silver Moon’s martial world as well.
Everyone assembled was highly nervous. They’d seen some shadows and how those shadows had darted into various dao stars. That meant their dao stars had been found. But... eyes were widening with increasing horror and faces becoming pale.
Yuan Shuo’s star was yet to be found!
Or rather, Li Hao was yet to bring Yuan Shuo out of the past because this was when Yuan Shuo had been the strongest. Li Hao was focused on the others and did not go for Yuan Shuo despite the thunder and lightning bearing down on him. It made onlookers extremely anxious!
To put it bluntly, the others could wait, but Yuan Shuo could not! That guy had to be resurrected!
A frown started developing on Li Hao’s face. Yuan Shuo had been the strongest in this period, which meant the influence would be great if he was retrieved! There would be the biggest flare of time yet, which meant that the tribulation would come down even more harshly!
The Firmament Sword could not stand against it and... neither could Gan Wuliang. Celestial Pole and the others would not be able to share the burden since they did not bear any karmic repercussions for this endeavor. But if Li Hao didn’t retrieve Yuan Shuo... he wouldn’t be able to find his teacher’s star.
So he had to do it in the end...
Li Hao reached forward as a thunderbolt raced through the immaterial dao universe. It detonated near the images, wanting to erase them!
A violent light dawned in the young man’s eyes!
No one could see it because he lifted his head, but Gan Wuliang could see it clearly from above. He didn’t even dare scream from the abuse he was being pummeled with. There was only unbounded fear in his eyes. He saw the arrival of a vicious demon upon the world! The demon’s eyes nearly pierced through the dao universe!
“It bothers me again and again...” Li Hao growled. The river undulated as multiple Li Haos walked out of the river downstream. Holding down the fort upstream, Number Two’s eyes widened.
Each of the Li Haos bore overwhelming power. All of them wielded swords, swords that could break through the world!
The thunder and lightning were outright exterminated and the resulting power forcefully integrated downstream. Thunder and lightning crackled through the waters and the river shook violently!
Celestial Pole sucked in a sharp breath. He’s crazy! He’s gone completely crazy! He’s creating an insane amount of trouble for himself in the future...
“Don’t court death!” he couldn’t help but roar.
“Don’t worry!” Li Hao was very calm. “I’ll be struck by the thunderbolts sooner or later, it’s just that more of it’s gathered now. There’s nothing to be afraid of, we can settle all the scores together!”
More Li Haos walked out and he slashed at the sky with his sword, smashing thunderbolts apart!
He’d found Yuan Shuo by now, hauling his teacher out for disintegration. A star winked in the depths of the universe.
“You hid yourself well,” Li Hao exhaled. “Weren’t you ever concerned that I wouldn’t be able to find you?”
This time, the young man vanished on the spot to personally move the star over. He’d found all of them! Everything had gone smoothly!
As the group exhaled with relief, they also looked at the sky with trepidation. The tribulation was being continuously cut down!
It was then that Li Hao traveled through time again. Celestial Pole’s jaw dropped!
Time flowed in reverse. The thunder and lightning that’d extinguished in the sky grew in number again. Even the future Li Haos were struck down.
“What are you doing?!” yelled Celestial Pole.
Li Hao didn’t respond; time continued to flow!
A... city suddenly appeared. Silver City!
It sharpened into focus while Li Hao continued to age. Time was still flowing backward...
An old school came into view.
The audience was absolutely horrified!
