Star Gate-Chapter 1415: Resurrection (II)
“Asking randomly? Then why didn’t you react when I said that I’m the first of Silver Moon’s Thirty-Six? This means that you know what I’m talking about and the key is, I never spoke to you about it!”
Li Hao’s jaw dropped. Are these my thoughts or the real thoughts of the person in my memories? Can the experience be this realistic?
Yuan Shuo stroked his whiskers again and murmured, “So this means to say that future developments are really strange. I somehow end up being weaker than you, kid, and you reach the heights of being able to resurrect someone! Now that’s terrifying!
“So this means I should be nicer to you! Should I teach you the core method of the Five Styles then?”
“......” Li Hao goggled at his teacher.
“How interesting!” Yuan Shuo continued. “So I die in the future, but you are able to find my present. How does that work? It looks like I got myself quite an amazing student! Alright, I’ll teach you the Five Styles tomorrow!”
“......” Li Hao had absolutely no idea what to say anymore.
“Is this part of the past?” Yuan Shuo looked at the sky again. “It’s a portion of the past to you, but it is happening right this very moment for me. Then did I teach you the Five Styles first, or did you influence me first and inspire me to be better to you?”
“......” Li Hao didn’t say a word. He was stuck in a daze.
“This feels like a fever dream!” Yuan Shuo returned to looking at Li Hao. “Kid, don’t try to randomly change the past. Even though the past is past, I recommend that you don’t interfere with it! It is hard to put into words what martial dao is when it reaches the extremities of dao.
"You can walk through time now, which means anything is possible. Do not further intercede in all of this. Resurrect me if you should. If you can pull it off, what are you hesitating for?”
“Oh... alright!” Li Hao promised dumbly. There’s only one past! I’m simply lost in my own memories, can I actually change it?
His teacher treated him very well, but did Yuan Shuo teach him the Five Styles because of this event, or had the old man planned to do so all along?
This was... so complicated! Time really was an overly complex matter.
“Just think of it as a dream. If this place isn’t important, destroy it!” said Yuan Shuo. “This meeting of ours might disturb a lot of things. You might be better off destroying it and cease attempting the circular reasoning between the past, present, and future!
“You won’t get to the bottom of those things and neither will I! The present me might find this to be a massive dream and just think that I should treat you better. That is enough.”
Li Hao blinked and didn’t say anything; he promptly vanished on the spot. The residence that he left behind immediately shattered. Within it, Yuan Shuo remained calm. He looked up at the sky, not finding anything odd about his surroundings.
......
Li Hao was in a daze as he walked out of the residence and the river. I was just exploring the past of my memories, can I really influence the actual past?
That’s... stunning!
So this means that we really can pull someone out of the river of time and turn them into someone... real? The War Sovereign, for example?
He resides in a fragment of the past and lives in a special space with Number Two. Is that special space similar to my river of time?
“The teacher of my memories can see through the fact that I’m different, and the key is, is that subconscious influence from me or is it real? Did I really visit teacher like this at some moment in the past?”
Li Hao was driving himself up a wall, but soon set all of it aside. “How interesting. I’m going to revive him!”
The sooner the better! I really want to ask if this truly happened to him before he taught me the Five Styles, if he had dreamt about this, or if he was affected by any of this at all.
If he was... then that would be so interesting!
Although the teacher of his memories didn’t fully address all of the questions swirling in Li Hao’s mind, there was one thing his teacher had said right—it was better to be resurrected than not!
Just see them as having been sick before!
Even if they were different from before, the newly revived were not puppets if the originals did not exist anymore. Everyone just needed a bit of time to get used to each other.
......
The people had started praying, the great dao reverberated! Clusters of stars shone brilliantly.
A long river was suspended beneath the heavens. Hundreds of millions of stars twinkled. Countless numbers of them were scattered throughout the dao universe. Those without any luster were unopened dao meridians.
There were ten billion humans in Silver Moon world. If each of them possessed the minimum of three hundred and sixty dao meridians, that would make for three trillion dao stars. Only a minority were active. Those that were dark and dim, as insignificant as the lowliest speck of dust, were the mainstream sight.
Of course, there was one major benefit for cultivators. The stronger one was, the better off one was compared to mundanes, even if there existed untapped dao meridians. If a cultivator’s unopened dao meridians were the equivalent of looking for needles in a haystack, then at least there was a hope of finding said needle.
A complete lack of cultivation wasn’t just looking for a needle—it was the equivalent of locating a drop of water in the ocean. The drop was part of the ocean and could be seen everywhere and anywhere.
There was at least something unique about a needle. One stood a chance of locating it after dismantling the entire haystack.
The core dao stars of Yuan Shuo and the others were that needle. Although the level of difficulty was very high, there was a chance. As for the others and that one droplet of water... that was impossible and could not be achieved.
......
The world shook and the power of great dao permeated the land. The river of chaos churned through Silver Moon.
No more enemies stood in its path. Everything proceeded at a composed pace. Although numerous monster spirits and beasts had been born in the world, who dared stop the braves of Silver Moon in this moment?
Countless stars sparkled over the long river. There was also a person standing at the peak of the river—Li Hao.
The young man swept his hand randomly and locked onto hundreds of millions of scintillating dao stars. These could be removed from the field of possibilities. Active dao stars were the easiest to find!
Any of the remaining dimmed stars could also be eliminated if they were connected to any dao star sparkling with activity. That would further reduce his workload.
Li Hao continuously pushed stars aside. Within the river, Hong Yitang was in charge of organizing these eliminated stars into a certain sector. The remaining sectors were dedicated to the dao stars that were still in consideration.
Within the void, even a Celestial Pole that’d gone home to sleep couldn’t help but hop over again. So much was happening here!
It wasn’t that he wanted to be part of the hustle and bustle, but that the disturbance was so great that he could see it even at home. Since there was nothing major that would take place in Silver Moon these days, he might as well come and check out the fuss.
He’d seen resurrections before. The Human King had set up the worlds of yin and yang in the later days of New Martial. Countless powerhouses that had died in battle had walked out of the yin world and were revived.
But what cultivation level was the Human King at?
The then Human King would be able to blow over the current Li Hao with one breath!
But today, Li Hao was also looking to revive people, and he was proceeding with a needle in a haystack method. This differed from the Human King as the Human King had grasped the core origin dao universe and the world seed to easily make the reversal.
There was more than Celestial Pole watching the show from the sky. Li Hao didn’t stop any of them. He viewed them as a congratulatory audience for those about to come to life. 𝒻𝓇𝑒𝘦𝘸𝑒𝒷𝓃ℴ𝑣𝘦𝑙.𝒸ℴ𝘮
As for whether or not he would succeed... Li Hao was certain that he could. If he couldn’t, then he would comfort everyone by beating up the audience members.
There was anticipation and curiosity among those watching. They were astonished by how Li Hao was able to separate hundreds of millions of dao stars with a simple wave.
......
“Senior, what level is this guy’s cultivation at right now?” A perplexed Great Li king transmitted to Celestial Pole. “Why does it feel like a master of great dao is nothing compared to him? Hong Yitang wields the corporeal dao universe, but it feels like Li Hao can smack him to death with one palm strike?”
“That’s pretty much the case!” Celestial Pole transmitted back. “Technically speaking, this guy is still a half step emperor. But in terms of strength, the newly unsealed Bone Eclipse would likely die in combat if the two of them fought.
“You must keep in mind that the powerhouses of Silver Moon are still far behind their New Martial peers! The gap is so large that you must subtract one entire cultivation level!”
The king was aware of that, but he didn’t understand the situation at hand. “Don’t they say that this doesn’t really come into play anymore after reaching the Red Moon exalted emperor’s level? They have dao within themselves...”
“That is for a superior existence. Bone Eclipse was a weakling, what was he worth?”
“......” Fine then. Bone Eclipse, a weakling. But couldn’t you not stand up to him despite him being a weakling?
Otherwise, you would’ve killed him one hundred thousand years ago!
“Will Li Hao succeed?” The king was a bit nervous. “He’s borrowed all of my blood qi to recreate bodies for them. Senior, I think this is still... not a good idea...”
He relayed everything that had happened yesterday. Celestial Pole looked at him with an odd expression, pausing for a long time before saying, “He’s right, this will be good for you!”
Granted, there were two fatal drawbacks as well.
First, this would deplete life force. The Great Li king might not mind now, but he might change his tune later on.
Second, the chaos tribulation.
Clearly, Li Hao had ulterior motives in mind as well. He was certain to be greeted by a chaos tribulation when he set foot outside the Star Gate. Since the Great Li king had agreed to help him in this endeavor, that meant he would be shouldering part of the tribulation as well. It was up to the king’s personal fortunes whether he would survive such an encounter.
Celestial Pole couldn’t be bothered to go into more details about these two issues.
The Great Li king was more at ease when he heard that this would be good for him. So this wasn’t a losing proposition for him this time! He was just too skittish after being tricked too many times.
Celestial Pole ignored the king.
Countless stars had been swept to the side after Li Hao started the categorization process, but there was still an astronomical amount left. And the key was, he might need to sift through them one by one from now on. Even if he scanned thousands in a second, there was a great deal to wade through.
Additionally, it didn’t seem like all of the stars in the dao universe were gathered in front of him. The rest of the void looked empty, but there might be countless stars gathered there too. They were just too tiny to be made out.
