Saving The Villainous Monster From The Male Lead-Chapter 92 - 91: The Antidote
The ride on the horse ahead was bumpy and Hael checked his sister, who had fainted in his arms, over and over again. He feared that he might lose her even before reaching back to the Lancaster Mansion. So, he frequently checked from time to time, if she was breathing and felt relieved every time, her breath touched his finger, telling him that she is still alive.
Within minutes they reached the Lancaster Mansion from the back entrance and without thinking much he quickly picked her up in his arms and rushed in.
If Hael could, he would have preferred taking her back to their home, but the Sinclair mansion was opposite to Lancaster mansion, and Eleanore needed an immediate medical attention. She looked so fragile, as if she would break like a glass within seconds.
Dean spotted his master who had left to look for his sister last evening and could only come back now, when the sun had almost reached above their head.
The clock was about to hit twelve soon and for a moment he feared that something bad might have happened to his lord. That was until he saw him sprinting towards the entrance, with Eleanore in his arms.
When Hael entered the room, his first order was released. "Find me a bloody doctor. Quickly!" He said, before continuing ahead.
Dean was only able to catch a glimpse of Eleanore and immediately felt a wave of guilt in his gut. He never thought that she would actually be kidnapped and would return in a state indescribable for even him.
He shook himself out of those thoughts and followed his lord, while Hael took up for the second floor, probably moving up to the third where Eleanore resides. Dean quickly entered Caelestis’ room.
"We need a doctor." He speaks up.
Caelestis still had Stella’s hand clenched into his. She looked like she was about to die and the pool of blood around her had only increased.
"Why?" He asked, his under eye filled with dark patches. He even looked somewhat thin, he hadn’t eaten anything for the whole day, yesterday and still had no plan to.
"My lord asked for it. Lady Eleanore is severely injured." A stroke of relief passed through Caelestis’ veins on hearing that.
"Is she back?"
"Yes, she was indeed kidnapped."
"What?" he was shocked. Like Dean he had also thought that Eleanore had simply run away.
"Yes, we don’t have time, she needs a doctor, immediately." Dean repeats himself.
"But Stella needs the doctor too."
"Is there no other?" He turned to the doctor, who was tending to Stella.
Regretfully, he shook his head in disappointment.
"I’m sure, she is not hurt that much. Let the doctor take care of Stella first then I will send him for her." Caelestis said a very logical thing. This was the best thing to do. Stella needed the doctor; it was about her life. But he was also unaware of how severely Eleanore might have been injured and simply concluded it was nothing close to Stella’s condition.
"No, she can’t wait. Her— her injuries are severe." Dean remembered how she had appeared on the front entrance, in the arms of his master.
"I understand, she might be bleeding a little from here and there, but Stella is poisoned." Caelestis tried to understand the panic in Dean’s voice and thus answered as kindly and softly as possible.
"And She has broken bones. Who told you she is bleeding just a little bit?" He argued and found out from the expressions everyone present in that room had, that he was not getting any help from here. They didn’t think Eleanore could be that injured. In fact, some of them even refused to believe that she was kidnapped.
Dean darted out of the room and rushed to his lord on the third floor. The crying sounds, that probably belonged to Marina, echoed through the corridor and he felt a thud in his heart.
"My lord!" He appeared, holding tightly on the door to pull break on his forwarding feet. "There is only one doctor available, and he is tending to the Baroness. The grand duke refuses to give the doctor to us." He explains.
Hael didn’t know what to do. He estimated as much and yet came to this mansion. He had nowhere else to go. Nowhere, where he could find a doctor as quickly as here.
Just then he remembered the antidote. He had promised that he would have Stella take that medicine. If she takes it, wouldn’t the doctor be freed for Eleanore?
He got out of the chair Marina had set for him to sit in and pulled out the small jar out of his pocket. He stared at it for a moment, wondering if this thing would truly work and if it can really cure Stella? Although he was sceptical, he wanted to believe in his sister.
Without wasting any more time, Hael sprinted out of the room, until he reached Caelestis. The door was still open from the time Dean had come.
Caelestis got out of his chair on seeing his friend back. He looked troubled. His face showing that terrified expression, as if he was going to lose someone precious and his white coat had turned red. That’s when Caelestis realised that Eleanore was not just bleeding a little. 𝕗𝚛𝚎𝚎𝐰𝗲𝗯𝗻𝚘𝚟𝚎𝗹.𝕔𝐨𝕞
"Is what she has taken a poison?" Hael asked the doctor, completely ignoring Caelestis’ presence.
"Yes, duke." He replied.
"I have the antidote."
The doctor’s old, wrinkled face stretched to its corners in surprise. "How can you have an antidote?" He asked, then moved closer to Hael. "This type of antidote takes days to be prepared. Regretfully, by the time it would be ready, we would have lost Baroness."
"That’s why, I am telling you I have the antidote." He urged.
"Where did you get it from?"
"Eleanore had it. She wasn’t able to explain much before she fainted from exhaustion, but she almost pleaded me to have Stella drink it. For only this can save her." Hael says.
"You should check if that truly is an antidote." Caelestis stepped in, finding it hard to believe that Eleanore was able to find it.
