Saving the Heartthrob Frenemy-Chapter 405: Graduated from singlehood to stalker...
AN: Hello lovelies. Happy Friday. Taking break a break tomorrow. Happy Reading.
After calling him several times without an answer Luo Muchen almost lost his mind. Bo Ailun seeing that he was on the verge of exploding decided to intervene.
He walked over cautiously before saying, "Captain, sometimes women-." His voice abruptly died down when Luo Muchen glared at him. Realising where he went wrong he cleared his throat before saying, "Partners... I meant partners need time to cool down after a fight. Maybe, just maybe you should give him some space... you know... to calm down. If you push it he might break up with you."
At the mention of the word ’break up’ Luo Muchen’s heart jolted like it had been electrocuted. There was no way in fucking hell he would let Qie Xieling break up with him. In his anger, he hadn’t even realised that they weren’t officially dating. Qie Xieling had boldly declared his sovereignty earlier but they hadn’t truly talked about it. They still needed to discuss it.
"Impossible. Not going to happen," he said and walked away contemplating tracking him down. Bo Ailun sighed when he saw him call Qie Xieling again. He didn’t even want to imagine what would happen if the captain was dumped by his boyfriend. The break up would spill over affecting all of them.
This time when Luo Muchen tried to call Qie Xieling it was no longer going through. This was the last nail in the coffin. He had to find Qie Xieling at any cost. The man could avoid his calls but he couldn’t switch off his communicator no matter what.
"Track the hovercar," he said to Bo Ailun.
Bo Ailun, "..."
The captain had graduated from singlehood to stalker in a matter of days. This progress was terrifying. "Cap-," he said only for Luo Muchen to interrupt him.
"Now," he said and Bo Ailun did just that. In a matter of seconds, they were looking at a live feed from the street where the hovercar was parked. What they saw made Luo Muchen’s heart drop to the floor.
He clenched his fist and uttered through gritted teeth, "Forget tonight. Rion’s distraction begins now."
Bo Ailun understood the order. Rion’s usefulness to the captain had long finished and the only reason it was still here was because of his deal with Valria. Now that she had broken their agreement and gone as far as kidnapping the captain’s boyfriend it was game over for her.
"It’s going down right now. Everyone be on your guard," said Bo Ailun and the crew who longed to see Rion burn as it harboured multiple criminals that killed, stole and plundered from the poor citizens of Zeden excitedly put on their gear.
The Blood Hound canon blasters fired warning shots from space towards the deserted east side of Rion. The explosion caused tremors all over Rion as dust rose. Luo Muchen put on his gear struggling to suppress his emotions. He approached a sleek hoverbike, parked amidst the bustling hangar of the spacecraft.
The hangar doors slowly slid open, revealing the vast expanse of Rion. A powerful gust of wind swept through the hangar, tossing loose debris and ruffling his hair, but he remained resolute, undeterred by the chaotic wind.
With a swift and agile leap, Luo Muchen mounted the hoverbike, his gloved hands gripping the handlebars tightly. The bike hummed to life, emitting a low, electric thrum beneath him. As he revved the engine a great sense of impatience coursed through his veins. His anxiety grew with every passing second without Qie Xieling by his side.
As the spacecraft soared through the city, Luo Muchen steered the hoverbike towards the open hangar doors. Without hesitation, he accelerated, defying gravity as the bike leapt into the void, leaving the spacecraft behind. The bike plummeted momentarily, the wind tugging his clothes and whipping his face, but he remained steady, his expression determined.
Then, with a surge of power, the hover bike’s anti-gravity systems engaged, and it swiftly ascended, defying the pull of gravity. Luo Muchen shot through the incoming traffic of sleek hovercars, skillfully dodging and weaving between them. The tall buildings of the city blurred as he pushed the bike to its limits, his focus on getting Qie Xieling back.
Guiding the hoverbike with precision, Luo Muchen approached a sharp corner, his heart pounding in sync with the rapid thumping of the bike’s engine. With a deft manoeuvre, he leaned into the turn, his body almost parallel to the ground as he maintained control. The wind howled in his ears as he accelerated, heading straight for Valria’s mansion where Qie Xieling was being held captive.
As the mansion loomed closer a loud explosion ensued nearly missing the mansion. Luo Muchen tapped on his ear and ordered, "Don’t touch the mansion for now."
The person on the other end understood the order and their target shifted. With a final burst of acceleration, he surged forward, the hoverbike roaring beneath him, tearing through the sky as he raced toward the mansion.
His communicator suddenly chimed and he accepted the video call. He clenched his jaw tight when he saw who was on the other end.
"You know that you have taken things too far, right? All I fuckin wanted was for you to fuck me... but no noooo you just had to fuck this guy. What does he have that I don’t, huh?" she yammered on like she was drunk or something.
She suddenly dragged Qie Xieling over and answered her own question. "A dick?" she said as she sneered, her voice laced with venom while pulling at Qie Xieling’s pants to see. Her brow arched seeming quite impressed with what she saw.
Luo Muchen’s chest heaved as he seethed in anger. "Don’t touch him!" he growled his bloodshot eyes piercing straight into her soul.
Valria sneered as she pressed the plasma gun against Qie Xieling’s temple. The cold, ruthless gaze in Valria’s eyes fueled his anger. "If you dare hurt him I won’t spare you," he said and Valria’s eyes gleamed with a twisted satisfaction as she saw him lose control of his emotions. It felt so good to watch him break down.
Luo Muchen’s knuckles turned white as he gripped the handlebars of the hoverbike. Valria chuckled darkly, her grip on the gun tightening. With a taunting gaze, she leaned closer to Qie Xieling, their faces only inches apart.
