Chapter 95: Chapter 82: No one messes with my food 2

The mere sight of her sent shivers down Era’s spine.

Era’s smile was forced and uneasy as she tried to maintain her composure. ’She’s terrifying,’ thought to herself. ’I knew she was strong but not that strong, but in the end, she’s a child there’s always a way to handle brats like her,’ she nervously grinned.

In a voice as saccharine as honey, Era attempted to play the victim. "Princess, how can you make such false accusations of me? I would never try such a thing."

Aurianna, however, was not so easily fooled. Her piercing gaze bore into Era, her eyes as cold and unforgiving as a winter’s night. "Once again, do you think I’m dumb?" she asked, raising a single eyebrow.

At that moment, Era felt a sudden uneasiness. Unexpectedly, a group of guns materialized around her, their muzzles pointed directly at her chest. She recognized them immediately, Era’s heart sank as she gazed upon the guns floating around her. ’Shit, is she going to kill me? These were the weapons she used when fighting the war against the Drumel kingdom two years ago!’

For a moment, she considered, ’If I try to flee...it would be pointless. Because if I lose, there’s nowhere to run from Aurianna!’

"Princess, if you kill me, the King and Queen would get mad and punish you! And my father, the Count of Burgundy, won’t take this lying down!"

Era’s smirk could have split her face in two. ’You better think twice about whom you want to offend, princess. The fact that you’re a princess doesn’t mean you can do stuff without consequences.’ she thought maliciously.

’Oh, so she thinks she has the upper hand in this game, bringing out the cards of my parents. She still doesn’t understand I am not someone to be trifled with. She keeps challenging me. I don’t like it,’ Aurianna’s eyes turned cold as she thought.

Without warning, Aurianna stood on her chair, towering over Era with an imposing presence. Then she gripped Era’s head was ironclad, unbreakable, her hand closed in tighter and tighter.

"Do you think I even give a damn if they punish me?" Aurianna’s voice was low and menacing, but on her face was an eerie smile. "I answer to no one but myself. I am the princess of this High Land, and I will not be threatened by the likes of you, a lowlife maid."

Era trembled in fear as she realized that she had gone too far. Her arrogant smirk was replaced by a look of terror as she struggled to free herself from Aurianna’s grasp. "You’re a dead woman!" A chill ran down Era’s spine as she heard the venom in Aurianna’s voice. The Princess’s words were like knives, cutting deep into Era’s soul. She trembled, knowing that she had angered the wrong person.

Era’s mind raced as she tried to come up with a way out of this situation. But no matter how hard she struggled, she couldn’t escape Aurianna’s grip. As the seconds ticked by, Era felt her strength waning. She knew that she was no match for the little girl before her, and that her fate was sealed. And yet, despite the overwhelming sense of dread that filled her, she couldn’t help but feel a small twinge of defiance.

But Aurianna was not finished yet. "You have insulted me with your lies." Aurianna’s voice was low and menacing. "I know your games, Era. You and some others have been stealing from my treasury, and now you blame me for your greed?"

Aurianna’s eyes narrowed as she regarded Era with contempt. "You dare speak of there being little resources, when you waste my riches on your own pleasures? You are a disgrace to your position, Era." The grip on Era’s head tightened, threatening to crush her skull.

"Princess, once again you’re speaking without proof!" Era managed to gasp out, her face contorted with pain. Veins bulged on Aurianna’s forehead as she listened to Era.

With a flick of her wrist, Aurianna summoned a burst of light energy that sent Era flying across the room. Era crashed into a wall, her body battered and broken. As she lay there, gasping for air, ’Shit, shit, shit, father you told me it would be easy. But this brat is crazier than you said!!’

Aurianna’s expression turned dark as she glared at Era, her thoughts filled with anger and suspicion. ’Quite a persistent rat,’ she thought to herself, her frown deepening with each passing moment.

"But I do have proof," Yui said, a mischievous glint in her brown eyes.

Era’s gaze flicked to Yui, her voice laced with venom. "Yui, you..." she began to say, her anger rising, making her fair bloodied face red.

Era cradled her bleeding face, hissing in pain as she felt the wounds caused by Aurianna’s sharp fingernails that had dug into her skin.

Yui approached Aurianna, her eyes glinting with a bright determination. "Here’s a recording stone, Princess," she said, her voice laced with a sense of urgency. She handed a blue stone to Aurianna, who took it with a calculating gaze. "I’ve recorded all the conversations Era had with her father, the Count of Burgundy, plotting to take your funds for themselves," Yui added, her eyes narrowing as she turned to glare at Era.

Aurianna examined the stone carefully, her smile turning into a smirk as she listened to the incriminating evidence. Era watched in terror as the Princess held the stone, her hands trembling, and her face filled with dread.

"Oh, you did well, Yui," Aurianna said. "I’ll make sure to reward you handsomely for your loyalty. Maybe a 50% increase in your salary," She held the recording stone up to Era’s face, relishing in the fear that she saw in her eyes.

"There’s no need for that princess. I serve you out of my love and respect for you. It’s this humble servant to make sure no one dares to bully you," Yui blushed as she paced left and right.

Yui, with a sly grin, suggested, "If you’re thinking of rewarding me, I’ve got an idea."

"Sure, ask anything, as long as it is in my power I’ll give it or you," Aurianna said with a nod.

With a hint of embarrassment, Yui asked, "Would you mind sitting on my lap while I brush your hair?"

Aurianna’s expression soured at the suggestion, and she fired back, "You’re a pervert!"

Yui recoiled in shock, protesting, "What?! I’m not a pervert! You just have a little sister vibe!"

Observing Yui’s infatuation with her hair, which was combed neatly this morning. Aurianna reminisced about the last time Yui brushed her hair. Her lustrous hair became a monstrous mess, and they had to use an entire day to untangle it. She closed her eyes, reliving the trauma.

’She should be glad I didn’t kill her for what she did the last time,’ Aurianna cried inwardly and looked up at Yui, beaming with a firm face.

"But Yui, you know very well what happened the last time you brushed my hair," Aurianna said with a forced smile. "I don’t think I can afford to spend another entire day trying to untangle it again."

Yui’s face fell as she realized her mistake. "Oh, right," she muttered, embarrassed. "Sorry, Princess. I just thought..."

Aurianna chuckled. "It’s fine, Yui. I appreciate your enthusiasm, but let’s stick to more practical rewards, shall we?"

"No hair..." Yui mumbled.

"Anything apart from that," Aurianna shook her head.

Yui pouted as she lamented, ’Urgh when I had the opportunity to get closer to the princess I just had to blow it up!’

With a hint of desperation in her voice, Yui recommended, "Princess, let us go together when the Orc express arrives next week!"

"Sure then," she agreed and Yui smiled.

’Hmm, my memory is hazy. When do the demons really attack, is it next month’s ending or the month after ?’ Aurianna wondered calmly. ’I need to find a way to communicate with them.’ 𝒻𝘳𝘦𝘦𝘸ℯ𝒷𝘯𝘰𝑣ℯ𝑙.𝘤𝑜𝘮

Aurianna’s voice sliced through the air like a shard of ice as she addressed Era, who trembled in fear. "Oh, I haven’t forgotten about you, Era," she said, her tone devoid of warmth. With a cold smirk, she waved a recording stone in Era’s face. "There is undeniable proof now. What do you have to say for yourself?"

Era pleaded for mercy, her voice shaking with terror. "Princess, I beg of you, spare my life!" she implored, and gave a deep bow, coughs escaping her lips as she cried.

"My family is poor, and I had to provide for them by any means necessary," Era explained, desperation lacing her words. Aurianna’s expression darkened, unimpressed by Era’s story, and her frown deepened.

Aurianna remained silent, studying Era with a piercing gaze. The air was heavy with tension, broken only by the sound of Era’s labored breathing.

Aurianna’s eyes narrowed as she looked down at Era. She had heard the same story before, and it never ceased to anger her. "Do not insult my intelligence with your lies, once again," she spat, her voice laced with disdain.
