Saintess? Not Anymore! I'd Rather be a Destroyer-Chapter 50 - 37: War
"The day for war is finally here. Feeling the adrenaline?" Eva asked beaming, as she and Aurianna were walking down the hall towards the throne room, along with other children of all sizes before her and behind her.
"Not really, I was having a good sleep," Aurianna replied, as she rubbed her eyes.
"Have some passion...some fire," Eva looked at Aurianna, her eyes burning with excitement.
"But the battle isn’t starting now," Aurianna said dully.
"Fair enough," Eva nodded.
"Feeling sleepy, Aurianna?" asked a fair young man who looked at Aurianna with his purple eyes covered by his golden spectacles.
"Yes, big brother Freed. I was sleeping so well until father summoned us all," Aurianna pouted and Freed smiled at her as they walked.
[ Name: Freed Vanluad ]
[Age: 63 ]
[Race: High Human ]
[ Level: 246 ]
[Class: Nature Elementalist ]
Freed was a seven foot guy who looked like seventeen year old teenager who had long braided yellow hair that reached his ankles and looked like a scorpion’s tail. His hair was filled with various flowers of all different colours. And he had a sweet smile. He wore a black robe that looked like a suit with trousers beneath it and a pair of black shoes.
Compared to others, Aurianna looked so tiny that it made him laugh.
He patted her head with his right hand and ruffled her hair.
"Don’t spoil my hair, do you know how long this took to groom it?" Aurianna growled at Freed and he couldn’t hold in his laughter.
"I heard my little sister became scary but you’re still as adorable as ever," Freed said with a smile but Aurianna pouted and looked away.
’A pity he died before I reached thirteen.’ Aurianna thought sadly.
’Oh, tell me the story.’
Aurianna sighed, "Well Freed believed Humans and other races could live in peace but King Girsal disagreed with that. So Freed left and formed a pacifist group that believed in a world where races could live in peace. But after a few months I heard of his death. I’m sure King Girsal killed him."
"Agreed, but I’m sure he would’ve had a lot of haters too, to try to create peace in such a power hungry continent," Eva added.
"He was one of the people who always had my back and encouraged me when I felt down. And he even placed his life on the line for mine," Aurianna recalled and clenched her fist.
"Didn’t someone else place their life on the line for you, but you still got betrayed by them?" Eva chuckled and Aurianna bit her lower lip.
Of course she remembered. And she laughed dryly as her eyes turned cold remembering what happened. She remembered three commoners and one noble whom she considered her friends, they were truly like the best of friends. There had been times when she was in danger against thieves and monsters and her friends fought bravely with their lives to protect her.
However when they were having a picnic in her friend’s mansion and they were suddenly attacked by demons, one of them threw her toward the demons who slashed her gut. Aurianna laid on the ground that was dyed red by her blood. She thought she was going to die. She called for help but they all looked at her then at the demon in fear before speeding off. Forgetting that she was a Saintess so even if they died while she woould have revived them. Luckily she was a Saintess so her wounds healed quickly once the demon left and she was rescued by her Divine Knights.
The four people who she once considered friends were immediately executed by King Girsal for running away instead of protecting the Saintess.
"I understand some people are good, but don’t let your guard down for anyone, even those who placed their life on the line for you," Eva said with a sympathetic look on her face.
"I’m aware of that, Eva," Aurianna answered with a smile as she entered the throne room with the other eight people and they stood in a horizontal line facing the throne.
On the throne sat King Girsal, sitting on his left were seven women all smiling and waving, on his right was Queen Amber, pouting.
"How many children does King Girsal even have?" Eva asked, staring at the group of people.
"Well he has fifteen children. At first there were sixteen but if I remember correctly, concubine Momo’s first daughter, Adora, died in an assassination." Aurianna answered Eva.
"Oh."
"There are eight girls and seven boys.
There’s Blade, age 18;
Helto, age 49;
Wein, age 57;
Venassa, age 72;
Me, age 7;
Leora, age 8;
Yogi, age 6;
and Nigie, age 5. And for the boys:
Freed, age 63;
Zelnu, age 81;
Husae, age 17;
Vatium, age 13;
Ularo, age 14;
Ralph, age 12;
And Hawke, 7.
Currently Blade, Wein, Vanessa, Zelnu, Hawke, Ulara and Vatium aren’t in Sandeph," Aurianna told Eva in her head and Eva floated around the children and stared at them. No one reacted because they couldn’t see her.
"Seems most of the younger children of King Girsal are here," Eva muttered and Aurianna nodded.
"I’m glad that most of my children could make it," King Girsal said with a warm smile as his voice could be heard by everyone. He stood up and walked over to his children.
"As you all know, some weeks ago, I announced that you would all participate in a war happening today." King Girsal stated, hands behind his back as he paced the room. His children nodded.
"Now you will follow me to the front lines to witness and partake in the battle ahead!"
"Yes father," they answered, as his booming voice reached them.
"Well then, here are your weapons," King Girsal said, just then a platinum armored knight brought in a rolling table covered in unique weapons."
Husae and the other children looked at the weapons, a bit surprised and asked, "What’s different about them, father?"
"These are soul weapons. Newly designed by us," the King proudly announced. Aurianna noticed the weapons had a light pink glow.
"You see, people can be revived by a Saintess when they die," King Girsal began as he walked around the table, "And we don’t know if the enemy has one, so you can use these weapons to slay your enemies, as it makes them unable to be revived." King Girsal said, an evil grin appearing on his face.
’To think he had weapons like these,’ Aurianna thought nervously as she surveyed the weapons.
"Choose whichever you desire," King Girsal said and the children scrambled towards the table.
Aurianna surveyed the weapons on the table but none seemed to catch her eye or even compare to her guns. However after some time of searching, she spotted a strange weapon. It was a pair of metallic footwear which intrigued her quite a bit. It had strange designs on it and was tall enough to reach one’s knees.
Aurianna stretched forward trying to reach the footwear but was unable to grasp it, so she looked at it blankly for a minute. Then jumped on the table with ease and got down after taking the gear.
She eagerly removed her shoes to put the equipment on. At first it was quite big but it immediately shrunk to fit her feet perfectly. She made a kick and a wind blade formed as her feet extended into sword like forms.
’This would be helpful with Ace Kick,’ Aurianna thought and smiled.
"Now then kids, let’s meet the people of Sandeph," Momo said politely and everyone followed her to the back of the throne room, where there was a huge door being opened by the knights. Aurianna used her hands to shield her eyes from the sun rays which blinded her for a few seconds. As her eyes adjusted she saw herself on an extremely high up and large balcony and below were the people of Sandeph gathered and cheering.
Aurianna saw a hallucination of an older image of her waving at the crowds with a warm smile, but it quickly disappeared. She took in a deep breath as she walked across the balcony to her seat and sat down as did the rest of the Royal family apart from King Girsal.
King Girsal and the others waved at the people except Aurianna, who just sat there with her arms crossed.
King Girsal looked at a floating yellow ball with a cute face and held it in his hands before speaking, "People of Sandeph, our age of peace is over!!" King Girsal’s voice boomed as cheers rang throughout the kingdom.
"We will be broadcasting the war on our visual Meimus," King Girsal added pointing towards the large screens appearing around the Kingdom, showing an image of King Girsal and the rest of the Royal Family.
"The one who declared war on us was the Drumel Kingdom....They said that a Kingdom that operates with magic shouldn’t exist and is considered demonic and immoral. They called our beliefs disgusting and our beautiful society useless," King Girsal said seriously and the people gasped in shock before yelling.
"Let’s destroy them! Burn their Kingdom to the ground!"
King Girsal raised his right hand and the people begun to calm down, "Don’t worry, the Drumel Kingdom is going to regret ever messing with us." King Girsal clenched his fist and the people of Sandeph brightened up a bit.
"Glory to King Girsal! Praise Sandeph! Holy be to Paige!" The people shouted admirably, King Girsal smiled.
Suddenly a magic circle appeared underneath everyone one on the balcony and they all disappeared, teleporting outside the kingdom walls.
Aurianna tried to balance herself since she wasn’t ready for the sudden teleportation. Before her were magnificent Cameos, beasts with large bodies that carried carriages on them, their feet looked like wheels. Their heads looked to belong to that of a Phoenix but with extremely fluffy feathers.
Aurianna then turned around to see several knights on droles as the Royal family was getting into the carriages.
Aurianna walked towards a Cameo and was immediately helped into a carriage by a knight. Once she entered she encountered Freed and Husae inside. She smiled at them and they smiled back before the carriage started moving.
Aurianna slowly drifted off to sleep during ride. She opened her eyes to see herself in an empty white land. Then all of a sudden the land flourished with white crystal flowers. Aurianna reached out her hand to pick them but they crumbled into darkness and the beautiful white land turned black. Aurianna looked around distressed and spotted a huge white face staring at her. It was a beautiful woman but Aurianna couldn’t make out her features. She read the woman’s moving lips, "You..do..not..deserve..my..gem!" The woman grinned and Aurianna stepped back a bit frightened. Suddenly, a large white diamond band covered her body as it tried to compress her, just then she woke up breathing heavily and almost falling off her seat.
"Are you okay Aurianna?" Husae asked concerned, and Aurianna replied, "I’m fine.
’Who the hell is that woman?’Aurianna thought and felt her carriage stop. She was helped down by some knights and walked over to stand beside her siblings.
Queen Amber stared at Aurianna curiously, still weirded out by the sudden change in Aurianna’s personality the other time. She walked closer to Aurianna and Husae. Ralph came to join them and eyed Aurianna, still suspicious of her. Aurianna ignored his childish behaviour as she looked ahead to see a group of people coming from the opposite side of the desolate land. The ground trembled as thousands of people mounted on monsters held their reins back to stop their beasts.

"The enemy soldiers number over a hundred thousand," Advisor Chu began, straightening up his glasses with a slight smirk on his face. He cracked his knuckles and huge metallic claws formed around his arms. His entire body was then consumed by a black armor which gave him a menacing look.
"I am King Boborous Kein Dius of the Drumel Kingdom. The one who is gonna destroy your vile magic kingdom!" A voice boomed across the battlefield, causing the ground to tremble.
"Why don’t you surrender? As you can see our army outnumbers yours!" A man in luxurious clothing revealed himself atop a white steed on the other side of the battlefield.
He was a brown skinned man with short gray hair, a pair of wine red eyes and a neatly shaved beard. He had a smug look upon his face as the land around him was surrounded by several knights that waved their flags high.
"And what would happen should we surrender?" Duke Melissa asked, placing her claw like arms on her cheek.
King Boborous smiled coldly.
"What else? All the magicians will be killed but as for those fine ladies there, I don’t mind letting them become servants in my palace." Boborous stated, staring at the ample chests of King Girsal’s wives.
The concubines gritted their teeth as they glared at King Bob angrily. Their eyes glowed as the ground around them trembled. Queen Amber’s eyes were especially filled with murderous intent. Aurianna who was standing beside Queen Amber felt like she couldn’t breathe, she looked up at her nervously. After a while, she could breathe but the flaring of aura’s made her dizzy.
"Oh my honey, please let me kill these pathetic fools," Ezra, who was beside King Girsal, asked.
Her eyes were cold as she leaned on him. King Girsal smiled at her and patted her softly on her head, making Queen Amber who was staring at them pout with teary eyes.
"Hahahahahaha, look at the nonsense this fool is spouting. Us... his slaves?" Lauren burst out, her eyes filled with disgust as she stared at King Boborous. Her hair turned into a scythe as she gazed at his army. Lauren was a beautiful bronze-skinned woman with long black hair that reached her ankles. She was a voluptuous woman, who wore a green crop top and a black pencil skirt, over it was a green coat. On her feet, there was a pair of green heels and with the boost she was 6 feet tall.
