Chapter 271: Chapter 257: Starting a rampage

Not far off, Aurianna walked purposefully down a dim corridor, a figure suddenly materializing beside her, gliding weightlessly.

"I hope you’re prepared, Aurianna," Eva said, her voice calm.

Aurianna smirked. "Yeah I’ll be fine."

"Just remember," Eva warned, "you’ll be facing six powerful Grand Humans. That’s what I detected in this building. And a hundred Arc Humans."

Aurianna shrugged nonchalantly. "I didn’t endure all that training just to lose now. Besides, even if I get it over my head and donlose, I’ve got White Hole and King as backup."

Eva’s eyes narrowed. "I wouldn’t recommend using White Hole unless it’s absolutely necessary. You still don’t have full control over it."

Aurianna sighed but nodded. "Alright, alright. I’ll listen to you."

She smirked, confidence radiating from her. "Besides, I’m strong—my stats are proof enough of that."

"Of course I know. Heh, I trained you after all," Eva said with a hint of pride.

"Stop being so cocky, Eva," Aurianna muttered, rolling her eyes.

Eva tugged at her cheeks playfully. "And who taught you to be disrespectful to your elders, hmm?"

"Eva, that hurts! Stop pulling my cheeks!" Aurianna cried, swatting at Eva’s hands.

"Fine!" Eva huffed, crossing her arms, but her smirk remained.

"What the hell is going on down there?" Athena muttered, pacing restlessly across the stage as murmurs of discontent stirred in the crowd below.

One of her assistants rushed up, leaning close to whisper in her ear. "Madam, we have a possible breach in security."

Athena’s eyes narrowed as she snapped, "Then handle it already! We can’t keep our customers waiting!" The assistant scurried off, and other workers began darting around, their anxious whispers adding to the tense atmosphere.

"Who would be so bold as to attack us?" Athena muttered under her breath, frowning deeply.

A loud, impatient voice broke through the din. "When are the items I bid on coming?!"

"Please be patient, dear guests," Athena cooed with forced calm, her voice echoing across the auditorium. "We’ve encountered a small issue, but I assure you it will be resolved very soon."

"I doubt it!" came a clear, mocking voice that silenced the room. Aurianna stood boldly on the stage, her face lit by an amused grin hiding behind her mask.

"Please get off the stage, child," Athena said through gritted teeth, her face pale with unease. "No one else is allowed up here."

"Oh, Miss Bear, we meet again!" Aurianna sajd, and her grin only widened as she took in Athena’s shocked expression when she removed her mask.

"You... you’re supposed to be dead!" Athena stammered, stumbling back a step, her face etched with dread.

"Lady Athena, what’s wrong?" her assistant asked, puzzled by his madam’ reaction.

"Evacuate everyone from here immediately!" Athena’s voice rose, laced with a rare note of panic. "Get them all out, now!"

"But Lady Athena, why—?"

"If she’s here, there’ll be another bloodbath," Athena gritted out, her glare fixed on Aurianna, who only looked more amused.

Despite Athena’s frantic orders, confusion rippled through the guests. Why would a Grand Human—a woman of such power—be afraid of a mere child?

"Wait, what’s going on?" Hitoria asked, looking around nervously.

"Don’t worry. Mother will be fine; she’s a Grand Human, after all," Lersit assured his little sister, though his voice held a bit of doubt. "But let’s be cautious and leave first." He took her hand. But Hitoria brushed it off. They were Athena’s children.

Hitoria laughed, shrugging off Lersit’s fears. "You worry too much, brother! What can that child really do?"

But Athena’s words echoed ominously in Lersit’s mind. "From now on I’ll start taking you both with me to show you how I do my job. But one rule you must always follow is that if I tell you to run away, you always run away. No questions." As he glanced at the screen showing their mother trembling in front of a beautiful but unfamiliar young girl who smiled, his unease only deepened.

Meanwhile, one of Athena’s assistants, a tall, winged man named Igarius, noticed Athena’s visible fear and let out a dismissive laugh. "Athena, that’s just a kid. Why are you panicking?" His bright wings, almost like those of a fairy, glistened beneath his mask, identifying him as a member of the Flonkong Organization.

Athena’s eyes flashed as she snapped, "Igarius, that ’kid’ is the one who obliterated our main base in the Dark Seas. Now evacuate everyone immediately! I won’t say it again!"

Igarius paled, taken aback by her words. "What the...? You can’t be serious!"

"And it’s not her I fear most," Athena added, her voice strained. "It’s that blasted summon of hers."
