Reincarnated As A Lion In Another World-Chapter 512: All Black
Draconic Heavenly Realm.
Imperial Dragon Palace, center of authority and control for the Dragon Empire.
The multicoloured void stood out like a familiar painting, reminding all those who set their eyes on it that they were no longer in the main universe, but one of the myriad heavenly realms.
And standing out against the almost infinite scenery of the multicoloured void and sky was a magnificent, mighty, and regal castle.
This castle was simply majestic, spanning an entire continent. The main continent itself was composed of a shiny transparent rocky material.
It resembled a diamond, but a whole lot stronger and more beautiful. The diamond continent seems to be made up of one single piece, not a collection of multiple smaller and larger pieces.
As the diamond continent served as a base of the magnificent castle above it, it also served as an inverted port for arkships and shuttles to park underneath.
Below the continent, multiple shuttles and arkships could be seen, just hanging there with the shimmering diamond ceiling above them.
And above this was the Imperial Dragon Castle itself.
Unlike the lions whose culture involved building pyramids for most of their homely structures, the dragons had no strict preferences and would do with any structure as long as it was big enough to house them.
Most of them live in artificial caves or self-crafted dungeons on continental communities or linked mini planets. Those with higher ranks in the Empire could afford to live in castles.
But, of all the castles currently in the heavenly realm, none of them was as wonderfully crafted as the Imperial Dragon Castle.
This architectural wonder had been standing even before Ibadon was born. Ibadon knew this as he had grown up in it.
Many towers stood tall, each mounted with the best cannons. Hundreds of walls as thick as magic shuttles worked all over the diamond continent.
All the structures converged to form the central point at the center of the castle.
The throne hall.
This hall was dark, not too dark, but dark.
Light crept in from the entrance, bringing in a bit of illumination, enough to brighten the inside a bit.
The light from the open throne hall doors also illuminated the long blood red carpet that led all the way to the end of the hall.
Standing at the entrance of this throne hall were two flaming dragons, both clad in the light of five different flames.
Beyond the spectacular guardians of the entrance, different dragons stood at different points inside the throne hall. Some stood at attention in their humanoid forms, while others lurked around in their true dragon forms.
These dragon guards were not guarding the throne hall, rather, they were guarding the entity that resided within it.
The two flaming dragons at the entrance of the throne hall suddenly grunted and looked around.
They could feel the mild pressure of a powerful gaze on their bodies.
"What’s that?" One of the dragons asked telepathically, flapping his fiery wings which had icy blue flames burning at the edges.
The other dragon standing on the other side of the entrance looked up. He raised his horse-like neck and angled his head to the beautiful multicoloured sky.
Up there, he could see it. His greenish-blue eyes focused on the incoming object.
"There," The flaming dragon snarled, baring his ivory teeth and black claws as he flexed the muscles on his front limbs.
The entity that caused that pressure in his body was stronger than anything he could have imagined, but he was prepared to fight to the death for his Empress.
"Relax," The other flaming dragon, clearly more experienced and older, spoke to his colleague with a warning tone, "That’s Ibadon."
Hearing this, the young dragon guard blinked his eyes in surprise and realization.
The figure he was looking at above was nothing more than a black speck in his vision.
He blinked his eyes again and the black speck was gone.
The young flaming dragon frowned, squinting his eyes and instinctively activating his heat sense and thermal vision abilities.
Alas, he still could not see anything at all.
"Greetings, Regent Ibadon!"
The young dragon guard heard the words of his older colleague and looked down subconsciously.
He saw his colleague bowing his head with his flames now doused to show submission.
The distance between the young dragon and the old dragon guard was the same as the width of the throne hall’s entrance.
Approximately one hundred meters wide.
The young flaming dragon guard, seeing his older colleague bowing, was shocked and immediately lined his gaze with the direction the older guard was bowing to.
’What the...’ The young flaming dragon guard thought, too shocked to finish his own inner sentence.
Standing two hundred meters away from them was a man. A humanoid man who looked more human than any other humanoid they had ever seen.
The presence of this man was just...strange.
The man wore an all black suit that was complemented with a few torso and knee straps that were also black in colour.
Draped over his shoulders was a wide and long black cape that flowed behind him like an inky night blanket. The ends of the cape dragged through the marble walkway, spreading out to add to the majestic appearance of this person.
Despite being dressed in this attire that was supposed to be baggy, anyone could still tell that this man had a good physique underneath.
His body was not buff or burly like a lot of male lions and dragons. Rather, he seemed to have a lean and athletic build.
However, because of his size, he still looked quite large compared to the average male human.
This man clad in a black suit and cape was around seven feet tall with wide shoulders and a back as straight as a spear.
He looked large, but not nearly as intimidating as others. His enemies would have to feel his aura to know the depths of his strength.
The only part of his body to be exposed was his head. A clean face free of any facial beard.
He had thin and thick eyebrows that both curved to the upper sides of his head, creating a vague ’V’ shaped temple.
His hair was straight and fell until the tips of the hair strands were touching the cape fabric on his shoulders.
Under those sharp and elegant eyebrows was a pair of captivating full red eyes. The man looked at the old guard with an amused yet nonchalant gaze.
It was as if he got a bit of pleasure from interacting with this older flaming dragon guard but at the same time was also very bored.
"Old guard, good to see you," The black clothed man said as he walked casually toward the entrance of the throne hall.
’That’s Ibadon...’ The young guard gasped.
Then he bowed and greeted quickly, "Greetings, Regent."
Ibadon, who was none other than this black clothed caped man, glanced at the young dragon guard with absolutely zero interest.
"Hmm," Ibadon nodded before turning his attention back to the old guard.
The young guard shivered but dared not look up to stare directly at Ibadon. He had heard many stories about Ibadon and had even seen his true form one time perched at the peak of his continent.
He and most dragons had never seen Ibadon in his humanoid form the way he was today which was why he was shocked.
Usually, when Ibadon was mentioned, he and the others who didn’t know better would think of a large dragon-lion hybrid that was extremely terrifying.
They never thought of what Ibadon would look like in his humanoid form because Ibadon hardly ever changed to his humanoid form.
By the time the young dragon guard was able to settle his thoughts, Ibadon was already three metres away from the entrance.
So fast, it amazed him how this immortal was able to move so fast and effortlessly without drawing any attention.
"...Yes, Regent. The Empress has been waiting for your arrival for a while now," The older dragon guard said as he nodded to Ibadon.
He was sugarcoating his words because he knew that Empress Elizabeth had been sitting on her throne, brimming with a mighty destructive wrath, ever since she returned from Hive Heaven.
The reason she had not yet gone to vent her rage was unknown to the elderly guard and he truthfully didn’t want to know at all.
Sometimes, he felt that Empress Elizabeth was actually more terrifying than Ibadon. At least, Ibadon could be reasoned with to some extent. Elizabeth? Not so much.
"Okay," Ibadon said with a gentle smile, gone was the galaxy destroyer aura he was known for.
Ibadon walked through the entrance without any resistance, leaving the two flaming dragon guards in silence to start their own discussions.
Inside the throne hall, all the other dragon guards didn’t try to stop Ibadon from walking down the length of the bloody red carpet.
Every step he took caused his figure to flash forward, travelling several meters in a single step.
At the end of the throne hall, Ibadon’s destination and the spot where the long red carpet stopped, a lone woman sat on a crystal throne.
