Reborn Young Miss: Phoenix Burning Red-Chapter 91: Growing Affection (1)
Thankfully, Beatrice had easily agreed to Adrienne’s suggestion this time. After witnessing what happened earlier, she knew that things wouldn’t turn out well for Noah now that they had offended some of his classmates’ parents. It was in Noah’s best interest to transfer schools immediately. Noah had only been attending the daycare center for about three months, and Beatrice wasn’t aware that others perceived him as a problematic child.
"I’ll ask for a few days’ leave from the company to help Noah move into his new home. I really didn’t think you would be agreeable to my condition, Miss Jiang." Beatrice said. She followed and watched Adrienne lay Noah down on his bed carefully. For a lady as young as Adrienne, she surely knew how to deal with a child.
"If it’s for Noah, it won’t be a problem. Since things have turned out like this, it would be better for him not to attend that daycare center anymore. If those women caused you trouble, you only need to inform me immediately, and we’ll deal with them." Adrienne then sighed and ran her fingers through her short hair. "I shouldn’t have lost my temper earlier."
"I think anyone would understand, Miss Jiang. Even I could barely hold back my anger after witnessing how they treated Noah earlier." Beatrice thought that Adrienne was amazing for being able to stand up for Noah. She knew she’d be forced to swallow and endure the humiliation she and Noah suffered if she had gone there alone.

"Who would dare to do such a thing to Noah?!" Lennox was infuriated when he heard what transpired during Adrienne’s recent visit to Noah Qin. He couldn’t believe someone would try to harm an innocent child like Noah, and couldn’t forgive those people for subjecting his younger sibling to that traumatizing experience.
"Calm down, Nox. Didn’t Miss Jiang already deal with them? If they have the guts to sue her for assault, we will retaliate by going all out against them." Gavin replied, even though he was upset when he heard the news from Adrienne Jiang.
A flash of hatred revealed itself in Gavin’s eyes. Noah Qin was just four years old and had lost his mother the moment he was born. How could he not pity the child, especially when Noah had to face this kind of treatment at such a young age?
"I hope Addie gave them a good beating! If not, sending some people to teach them a lesson wouldn’t be a bad idea!"
Gavin shook his head. He initially thought that Lennox was bad-tempered, but he discovered lately that dealing with an angered Adrienne Jiang was just as bad of a news. Thinking about it, if her patience hadn’t run dry that day, she wouldn’t have come to slap Lennox to bring some sense into him.
"You and Miss Jiang should go learn some anger management. Are you two going to beat up each person who offended you?"
"It’s really challenging not to snap at those idiots, Gav. If I had been there myself, I would have made a bigger ruckus than what Addie had done."
"You know that isn’t something you should be proud of, Nox." Gavin pointed out.
Time passed rapidly, and soon, Adrienne was taking her preliminary exam at school with the rest of her schoolmates. The Jiang estate was extremely tranquil during this time, as if chasing away her father and stepmother had also chased away the bad luck.
The only issue now was that her father had cut off her finances, probably trying to teach Adrienne a lesson. It would be problematic for Adrienne to keep her household running if she didn’t have any money. However, since she still had some remaining funds after hiring Uncle Shark, the issue hadn’t affected the household yet. Plus, she and Mother Wang had decided to reduce their living costs by cutting down on their daily expenses and getting rid of the servants they knew had pledged their loyalty to Camilla.
"Miss Addie, what should we do? We’ve already reduced the number of household helpers, but do you think this is alright?" Mother Wang asked Adrienne one morning as the latter was having breakfast alone in their massive dining area.
"What’s the point of keeping them around if they would only cause me trouble later on? We can always hire new ones that aren’t related to my stepmother. As for your monthly wages, it would remain the same. I’m the only person you’ll serve, so there’s no need to keep many people in here."
"I think what Miss Addie said is right, Mother Wang. You are worrying about nothing. Master Jiang must have thought Miss Addie would take back her words and admit that she was wrong when she runs out of money." Uncle Mo commented with a deep frown on his face.
Thinking about how Lewis Jiang had treated Adrienne so far, he wasn’t surprised when his miss had officially cut off familial ties with her father. It was a pity though that she wasn’t able to grow up with her elder brother.
"I have my ways to earn more money, Mother Wang. You just need to ensure no single rat from my father’s household could sneak back in here. If anything, I could also ask for some help from the Zhao family. Since we’ve reconnected, I doubt they would turn a blind eye to me once they discovered what was happening." 𝚏𝗿𝗲𝐞𝐰𝚎𝕓𝐧𝚘𝘃𝗲𝐥.𝐜𝚘𝕞
"Master Reese asked me to report everything that happens here to him. The news should have reached him by now." Uncle Mo added, earning a curious look from Adrienne.
She didn’t think that Uncle Mo would admit to it so easily. It was impossible for her Uncle Reese not to send someone to look after her, considering he hadn’t fully trusted Hunter yet. The bodyguard was nowhere in sight at the moment, but Adrienne wasn’t bothered by it.
"Then we should wait and see how the Zhao family would react. As for my father, he would be foolish if he thought a simple trick like this would make me cower in fear. He should know by now that he doesn’t have what it takes to make me submit to him."
