Reborn for Revenge: Find her Fated Alpha-Chapter 81: Killian’s fury
Everything was going normally for Amelia. She was enjoying her day, taking extra classes from Professor Kinsley since she had healed Mrs. Camilla, and her recovery was a successful outcome of her research. Then suddenly, things changed.
One moment, she was holding the pipette in her hand, ready to transfer the chemical into the test tube with measured proximity, and the other moment, someone grabbed her neck and lifted her in the air.
Amelia’s eyes widened at the sudden turn of events, and she looked at Killian, who was seething with contained anger, his wolf on the verge of taking over.
"You bitch! I knew you were corrupted inside out and wanted to make me suffer because I never reciprocated your love, but must you take it out on my mother!" Killian growled in her face, his fingers clenching on her throat.
Amelia’s face turned red at the lack of oxygen, and she flailed her legs helplessly, clawing at Killian’s hand to remove it.
However, she was not powerful enough to fight the alpha.
"Let go!" She grunted, tears rolling down the corner of her eyes.
Professor Kinsley, who had gone out to take a tea break, returned to the shocking scene.
"Alpha Killian!" The old professor rushed to the alpha, but to no avail did he move.
Unable to do much against an Alpha, he immediately called Alpha Zane, Alpha Trevor, and Alpha Christopher from the senior years near the lab.
The three alphas rushed to the laboratory once their professor called them and immediately got to work.
They pulled Alpha Killian away from Amelia, and the girl fell on the ground.
"What the hell is going on here?" Alpha Christopher, the most senior among the four, growled.
Killian, under normal circumstances, would’ve definitely held back, but not today when his mother suffered.
"Ask this bitch! I asked her to help save my mother, but she refused, and now my mom is no more! She is dead!" Killian growled.
"Is this what you are teaching your student, Professor Kinsley? Your pupil here is a murderer. She doesn’t deserve to be a healer!"
Everyone looked at Amelia, who was gasping for air.
’Dude, something happened in the laboratory on the fifth floor. You should see this. Killian is fuming, and he wants to kill Amelia for sure.’ Alpha Zane messaged Ryan, and the guy didn’t waste a second rushing to the zone.
He looked at Amelia, gasping for air. Her face was pale, and anger took over him.
"You bastard! How many times did she tell you to leave her the heck alone?! When you couldn’t get through, you dared to put your hands on her?!" Ryan’s wolf was on edge, and he pinched Killian square in the face.
Killian spat the blood on the ground before punching Ryan.
He was beyond angry.
Amelia, who was suffering on the ground because of her choked throat and her nerves hurting, leaned on the counter as she looked up to inhale as much oxygen as she could.
Her throat was in pain, and she looked at Killian with hatred.
If she thought of helping his mother out of pity for the deceased, that pity dissolved with his actions.
Wait.
What did he say? His mother was dead?
His words finally sank in her head, and she looked at her phone for any notifications.
Just as she had anticipated, Hannah messaged her about the news, and she blamed her for it.
How was that even possible? In her last life, that old woman’s health hadn’t deteriorated to the point where she could die so easily.
Her mind went black at the possibility of Hannah having a hand in this situation so that she could hurt her.
"Stay out of it, Ashborn. I want to kill this bitch today!" Killian said.
Amelia knew saying anything to Killian right now would be like adding oil to the fire, and she took a few raspy breaths before falling on the ground, pretending to be unconscious.
Her sudden fainting episode immediately put everyone on edge.
The principal, who was making a schedule for upcoming events and trips, as well as a fresher’s party, picked up the phone.
"Sir, student Amelia has fainted. Alpha Killian nearly killed her," His PA said.
The principal’s hand on the teacup froze, and a bitter smile appeared on his face.
Amelia again. This student was becoming the bane of his peace now.
He took a deep breath but then remembered Fabian’s words. He said she was healing none other than King Cyrus, and how he took her away last time...
The principal immediately asked the OA to arrange a vehicle to get her to the hospital.
"The triplet alphas already took her away, sir. We have to inform the royals," The PA said.
The principal was about to tell his PA they should hold back from leaking this news until they knew what was happening and shouldn’t worry the royals about something so minuscule, but he gulped.
He saw an incoming call from none other than King Cyrus’s assistant on his personal phone.
"No need to do that. They already know," He whispered before ending the call.
Once inside the car, Ryan looked at the girl in the backseat with a sigh.
"You can drop the act now. I know you are not unconscious," He said.
Derrick and Aaron looked at each other before turning around briefly.
And just like Ryan had said, Amelia opened her eyes and sat straight.
She motioned to her throat and then made a cross sign.
She was having difficulty speaking.
Ryan nodded in understanding before biting his lips.
Aaron looked at the girl with complicated emotions.
He was filled with questions—too many of them.
As much as he hated Alpha Killian for hurting her since she healed their mother, he understood his anger.
Ryan told them what happened in the afternoon, and if he had been in his place and Amelia had acted like that, he would’ve lost it too.
Amelia judged everyone’s expression inside the car and looked at her phone.
Those judgmental gazes again.
She was sure that the lady’s death had nothing to do with her refusing to treat her. There was more to the story, and she needed time to prove her innocence.
As her fingers hovered over the screen, she saw an incoming call from King Cyrus, and her heart drummed against her chest.
How was she supposed to talk over the call?
She picked up the call, placing the phone near her ear, wanting to know if he had something to tell her.
"Hello," the man’s cold and calm voice said from the other side, and the three boys turned to look at Amelia.
Amelia didn’t say anything. She just looked out of the car at the passing trees.
"I heard what happened," He said.
Amelia bit her lips, a whimper almost leaving her mouth at the care in his voice.
While his voice might be cold to others, she knew him better after living with him for almost a month.
"My men will meet you at the hospital. I will get to the bottom of it. Don’t be scared. You’ve got me," King Cyrus said, and Amelia ended the call.
Ryan looked at the girl, who looked emotional, and felt a pang in his heart.
She had shown no vulnerability to him. But a call from this man was enough to crack the shield she put around herself?
Who was this guy? He wondered.
