Chapter 336: Keeping A Secret From Him

After making out inside the Happy Store, Dominique asked Sabrina to come with him to his place. There was something he wanted to do with her.

Sabrina didn’t hesitate to come. After twenty minutes, they reached Dominique’s new apartment. Sasha was still in the Smith Mansion, so Dominique bought a new property.

"Did you just transfer today?" Sabrina asked, her eyes scanning the sealed boxes in the living room.

Dominique nodded. "Yes. I’m gonna unpack them later. Don’t mind them."

He quickly grabbed her hand, bringing her to his room.

Sabrina narrowed her eyes on Dominique, thinking he still wanted to make love to her in his room.

"What are you planning to do here?" She asked, lifting an eyebrow.

Dominique turned to face her, smiling at her affectionately. He made her sit on the bed before picking up an old guitar hanging on the back door.

Sabrina’s eyes lit up when she recognized that old guitar. He often played the instrument before... when they were still a couple.

Dominique played a guitar while she sang their favorite songs.

"This is part of my wish. Sing for me. I wanna record it as my remembrance of you. This is also a request from your number one fan. I’m your first fan... remember?"

Sabrina was at a loss for words. Dominique managed to stir her heart over and over again. Indeed, Dominique was her first-ever fan. He had always wanted to support her dream of becoming a singer.

"Congratulations on becoming a famous songstress..." Dominique uttered, his eyes filled with sincerity. There was also a hint of pride as he looked at her.

It did not take long before he started strumming the guitar.

Sabrina was very familiar with the music piece he was playing. She began to sing along with him.

Dominique’s eyes were fixed on her as he listened to her mesmerizing voice. He gazed at her intently as though he was afraid she was going to vanish once he looked away.

Dominique reminisced about the precious moments he shared with her when they were still a loving couple. Unknowingly, the tears welled up in his eyes, sadness filling his heart right now.

’I can’t turn back time. All I can do is to cherish these remaining days I will be spending with her.’

Dominique masked his sadness with a faint smile. He didn’t want to spoil the mood.

Sabrina continued singing. Her eyes also lingered on Dominique’s gorgeous face. Her heart skipped a beat whenever he would smile at her.

When the song ended, Dominique quickly clapped his hands, praising her wonderful voice.

"I love your voice, Sabrina. It’s my honor to hear you sing... my favorite artist. Can you give me an autograph?"

Dominique placed the guitar on her lap and gave her a permanent marker.

"Don’t forget to write your message for this first fan of yours," he added.

Then Dominique left the room for a moment to get some snacks for Sabrina.

Sabrina gazed at the guitar for a moment while holding the marker. She wondered what message she should write for Dominique.

"Can I write Sorry?"

She smiled bitterly as she was reminded of her father’s sin.

In the end, Sabrina could only write four words– "Thank You" and "Be Happy."

A single tear fell from the corner of her eye after she finished writing her short message for her first fan– her soon-to-be ex-husband, Dominique.

For some unknown reason, her heart clenched in pain once more. She felt suffocated.

Before she ended up drowning in sorrow, Sabrina put down the guitar and decided to follow Dominique into the kitchen.

She had just stepped out of the room when her cellphone rang. She picked it up only to see Vladimir’s caller ID.

A hint of guilt flickered in her eyes as she stared at her phone screen. Vladimir had no idea about her deal with Dominique.

She also felt so guilty for meeting Dominique behind Vladimir’s back. She didn’t know how Vladimir would react once he found out the truth.

’I’m sorry, V... I am being unfair to you... right now. I know you don’t deserve this. But I have no choice. I also need to compensate Dominique because he suffered a lot due to my father’s sin.’

Sabrina clenched her phone, ignoring Vladimir’s call. She didn’t want to lie or make some excuses, so she chose not to answer his call. After a while, she turned off her phone.

Meanwhile, Vladimir felt anxious since Sabrina wasn’t answering his calls. He wondered if something was wrong with her.

Without further ado, he headed to her penthouse to see her. But to his disappointment, she was not there.

"Bro, where is your sister? She’s not answering my call. Her mobile phone is now unattended. I can’t contact her. Do you know where to find her?" Vladimir asked in his worried tone.

Enzo swallowed hard, thinking about some alibi. He was aware that his sister went out to meet Dominique today, yet he couldn’t tell Vladimir the truth; otherwise, there would be chaos.

Lanny warned Enzo about Vladimir’s possessiveness. He could easily get jealous when it came to Sabrina.

"Maybe her phone’s battery was drained. Don’t worry too much. She just went out to shop. She told me she had to buy something."

Vladimir frowned when he heard that. "You allowed her to go alone? You didn’t accompany her!" He exclaimed, unable to hide his displeasure.

"The leader of the kidnappers is still at large. What if he were to find her again and take her again?" Vladimir’s overprotectiveness kicked in as he reprimanded Enzo.

Enzo didn’t know how he would respond to that.

’But Dominique is with her right now. I believe he will protect my sister at all costs,’ he thought.

’I also understand where Vladimir is coming from. His reaction is valid. He is just worried about my sister’s safety. And I appreciate that.’

"I’m sorry. This is negligence on my part," Enzo was forced to apologize just to cover up for Sabrina. "It skips my mind. I swear, this is not going to happen again."

"Forget it. I’m going to find her myself," he coldly said.

Without waiting for Enzo’s response, Vladimir stormed out of the house.

Enzo could only sigh deeply while watching Vladimir’s back. "Sigh. Sis, this situation is very complicated. I just hope you will be able to fix this as soon as possible. I feel sorry for keeping this a secret from Vladimir."
