Rebirth of the Villainous Female Boss-Chapter 1096 - 1068: Starting the IQ Contest
Kiara thought that after returning, she should invite Zenith Kyan and his wife out for dinner. Sure, thatโs acceptable; she didnโt forget to treat Camden to ice cream to ensure no other women caught his eye at a critical moment. ๐๐๐๐๐๐ฎ๐ซ๐๐ธ๐ซ๐ฎ๐ต.๐ฌ๐ค๐ข
Mario Yuno could only resign himself to continue stripping.
Until only the last piece remained.
"See, thereโs no way he could conceal any weapons on his body now. I guess your next idea is to have him unload the revolver bullets in front of you, and then hand the only bullet over to you, isnโt it?" Kiara said as Mario Yuno was almost done stripping.
"Exactly!"
The voice on the other end wasnโt as steady as before. Kiara had rattled off so much, each point reflecting what was in the opponentโs mind, which inevitably shook the confidence of the villain.
Mario Yuno had almost finished stripping and then proceeded to unload the bullets, leaving only one, which he placed into the modified catโs eye.
This way, he was a man with no weapons.
Mario Yuno glanced at Kiara, who signaled with her eyes that everything was under control. In fact, while the other party wasnโt paying attention, they had slipped to the back, and he transferred his gun to Kiara. Kiara guessed the opponent would certainly require Mario Yuno to strip, so she took the initiative, transferring the weapon to herself, and disclosed the villainโs plan a step ahead. In their shock, the villain completely forgot to search Kiara.
To attack the mind was to pay attention to each minute detail, and surely, the villain had followed Kiaraโs script.
Rustling sounds came from inside; it was probably the villain picking up the bullet. After about a minute, the door opened.
Mario Yuno led Kiara inside. The room wasnโt as dark as imagined; lights illuminated the small compartment brilliantly. In the roughly 20-square-meter space, everything was open plan, and the villain sat on a sofa against the wall at the far end. In front of him were several monitors showing surveillance angles from outside.
The air was filled with the fragrance of blooming lilies, with a faint undercurrent of bloodโthe most distressing detail in this otherwise bright and clean room.
On the wall next to the villain, a woman was nailed, it was Renee Wong. She wore a blood-stained white antique dress, resembling white fabric with red flowers, her body marked by several wounds blossoming grotesquely. Her arms were spread, like a dying butterfly pinned to a wall.
Kiara had studied this villain who had read many foreign books on violent crimes. This scene was likely modeled after a classic passage from one of them. Seeing it in person made her stomach churn; a normal person would be greatly disturbed by such a sight, and Kiara was thankful she was still normal.
"Welcome, the most beautiful woman in my mind." The villain pressed a button and the door automatically closed behind them, having turned this place into an impregnable, no-return private space.
Mario Yuno stood in front of Kiara, blocking the villainโs snake-like gaze. He didnโt like the way this madman looked at Kiara.
Kiara didnโt like it either. The last time she had seen this man in jail, there had been a layer of glass between them. Now, without the glass, it felt as if she had fallen into a wolfโs den; fortunately, she had Mario Yuno as a bodyguard by her side.
"Save me! Youngest, save me!" Renee Wong, tortured nearly out of her mind, barely recognized the couple entering as Mario Yuno and Kiara and desperately screamed for help.
"Shut up, you want to continue being bitten by ants?" The villain, annoyed, spat out a sentence, and Renee Wong dared not speak further. This demon was too terrifying, his methods of torture simply chilling to the bone.
"I donโt want to talk nonsense with you. Come on, letโs dive straight into our Death Game. The gun is with him; if you accept my game rules, we can start the game right now."
"Isnโt it I who has the upper hand now?" The villain was fascinated by Kiara; he had never seen such a calm woman before. Even with Renee Wong in such a horrific state on the wall, Emma Clark showed not the slightest emotional ripple, and that was what excited and attracted him the most.
Why hadnโt he encountered her sooner, the woman Yuzo Joel had taken great pains to hide? She certainly had her unique traits.
"To someone who has given up on life and merely wishes to take a few people down with them before dying, you indeed should have the upper hand. But unfortunately, you still have to play by my rules. Donโt you think that a mere life-risking roulette is not fun? Although such a game is thrilling, anyone can play itโthereโs no excitement. You pride yourself on having unmatchable IQ, so why donโt we have a special feast?"
Kiara knew that the only thing that could shake the emotions of this madman at the moment was thrill and challenge.
"Oh? And how do you propose to make it thrilling?"
"Each of us writes a set of questions, then we exchange papers. I will answer the test you wrote, and you will answer mine. In the end, weโll see who scores higher. If you score higher, Iโll fire this gun first and you wonโt fire. If I score higher, then youโll fire and I wonโt. The same rule applies for the second round. You, who prides yourself on having an unmatchable IQโare you willing to bet with me on IQ?"
"You, womanโif I agree to compare with you, and you write a bunch of nonsensical stuff related to your profession, I wouldnโt be able to answer, and wouldnโt that mean I lose? Besides, what if you donโt acknowledge the answers I have right? What then?"
"Whatever you can think of, I can also anticipate. We will set a scope that only allows questions related to everyday life. When writing the questions, weโll write down the answers on another sheet of paper. You and I will hand our answers over to my husband; for every question we answer, my husband will read out the correct answer from the list. Ten questions each. Neither of us can cheat. This is the fairest way, donโt you think?"
The villain clearly didnโt believe that a woman could outsmart him, and being genuinely interested in this rule, he agreed decisively.
While Mario Yuno was worried for Kiara, he also admired her tactical acumen.
No wonder she came in saying she had a 100% chance of not having to fire the gun.
The villain only knew Kiara was a Psychologist, but he did not understand the depth of Kiaraโs professional knowledge. She knew she couldnโt convince the opponent with words alone, so she racked her brains, even using life betting as a gimmick to entice the opponent.
This rule, upon careful consideration, has a flaw. A normal death game would have each person shoot in turn, but Kiaraโs version has the person with the lower score shoot, and the higher score doesnโt have to shoot.
This is purely a battle of IQ, a head-on challenge of intelligence.
Kiara must have been 100% sure she could win against the opponent, not firing a single shot, which is why she said that playing this Death Game wouldnโt result in a one-in-six chance of death, but a 100% chance of safety.
