Chapter 96: You Are Too Old For Her

"Sorry." Prince Raquim mumbled softly.

Marx realized that there was already a mountain of food on Amaya’s plate. "You will be burning a lot of calories so you need to eat more."

Prince Argo who was sitting at the other table with the Rocas twins craned his neck to see what was happening at the other table. When he noticed that there was still a vacant chair on the other table, and as he was done with breakfast, he excused himself and transferred to the other table.

"Greetings Your Majesty, Your Highness. Good morning Amaya." Argo only greeted the three persons cheerfully.

"Good morning," Amaya replied back then she looked at the food on her plate with a gloomy expression. She continued eating.

Argo looked at his brother and suddenly had the urge to tease him. "Bother, don’t you think that my age matches that of Princess Amaya? I am just a year older than her. You are twenty-three so aren’t you too old for her?"

Raquim glared at his youngest brother. If they were at their palace, he should have already grabbed him.

"Brother, older men are better in protecting and taking care of younger women. Look at you, so being immature." He gave him a smile, but Argo shivered. Raquim’s smile was so evil.

’Your Majesty, since there is nothing for us to do, I and my brother will leave after breakfast. I received a message that our helicopter has already arrived."

King Hebrion, his second son, and her sister Tamara left the night before. After breakfast, the Royal family sent off the princes of Albania. There was a small airstrip at the back of the palace where two helicopters where already waiting.

"Can I get your contact number, Princess Amaya?" Raquim asked Amaya as he walked beside her. He was happy that the annoying foreigner from Usturia did not go with them as he needed to answer an important call.

Amaya recited a series of numbers.

"Wait!" Can I borrow your cell phone instead? Amaya passed to him her cell phone.

Raquim scanned his QR Code and dialed his own number. Raquim, looked at Amaya’s wallpaper and it was a picture of her standing in between a white wolf and a tiger, and behind her was an ape. He frowned when he saw that Marx was also in the picture.

He returned Amaya’s cell phone. "Can I have a photo with you?"

"Okay." Amaya agreed.

Prince Raquim took out his cell phone and extended his arm in the air. His arms were long and he was very tall. He towered over Amaya since Amaya was wearing flat shoes.

"Smile!"

Amaya smiled brightly into the camera. Then she turned to face Prince Raquim. "Thank you for coming over and celebrate my birthday. Thank you for the guitar. I will take good care of it."

Raquim just nodded then he turned and boarded the helicopter. Argo, who was peeking from the helicopter, waved at her. He did not dare approach Amaya because his eldest brother was giving his killer looks.

Prince Raquim watched Amaya as she headed toward where her father was. The crown prince was talking to Prince Gamaru. He continued to watch until he could no longer see her.

He was reluctant to come yesterday. He did not like attending parties. He even wanted to fake an illness just to escape but he was thankful that he attended. To be quite frank, he has never seen a princess as lovely as Amaya. And as human nature, he was attracted by her beauty. No, it was not simply her superficial charm but she possessed an inner beauty that he saw when he looked into her pure and bright eyes.

The rumors said that she was wild, but she was more refined compared to her cousins. How he wished that it was like the old times when Kings offered their daughters for marriage alliances and they were sent directly to their groom’s kingdom.

He overhead his father and King Duncan discussed the engagement between him and Amaya which they agreed a long time age. He wondered why King Duncan changed his mind. He said that it depends on Amaya’s decision. Raquim has a vague memory of the time he visited Asteria palace with his father when he was just seven years old. He was sitting on a stone bench in the garden when Amaya came to him with outstretched arms and a bright smile.

’Carry Aya!’ That’s what she said. In the end he lifted her without difficulty and put her on his lap.

"Brother... brother, why do you have a silly smile on your face? Do you have a fever?" Argo sounded franctic.

Raquim’s expression turned cold. He glanced sharply at his brother. Argo sank back on his seat. His brother didn’t need to speak. His gaze alone already told him that he should shut up.

"What’s wrong with my brother right now? He was definitely smiling." Argo decided to mind his own business. He closed his eyes and eventually fell asleep.

...

Amaya changed into a white tee shirt and blue denim. She tucked her shirt in and wore riding boots. Lilia braided her hair along the right side of her scalp and toss the end over her left shoulder.

"There, your hair should not hinder you from riding your horse, Princess." Lilia gave her a thumbs up.

"This is very beautiful, Lilia. Thank you so much."

Marx was waiting for her at the training ground when she went out from the north door of the palace. He was holding her white horse and was patiently waiting for her.

"Have you given your horse a name?" He asked when Amaya arrived at his side. She shook her head. 𝘧𝑟𝑒𝑒𝘸𝘦𝘣𝑛𝑜𝘷𝑒𝓁.𝘤𝘰𝓂

"I think Snow would be a good name." Amaya rubbed the horse’s neck.

"It is Snow then." Marx stepped closer to her. He tucked a loose strand of her hair behind her hair.

"Your hair is done beautifully. Your servant did a good job."

Amaya was about to answer when she heard someone shout.

"Cousin, cousin! Are you going horseback riding? Can we come along?"
