Raised From The Wild-Chapter 57: Unbelievable Results
"What’s wrong?" Armando asked the principal.
"This... this result is unbelievable." The principal stuttered as he scattered the test papers on the table. "She got full marks on all subjects for the Grade 7 admission. It is the same for Grade 10 and Grade 12. This princess is a genius." Principal Lazada exclaimed excitedly.
"So, can she be admitted to Grade 12?"
"Of course she can. Classes have already started but she can definitely catch up."
The principal handed Amaya an admission form. Amaya filled in all the necessary information before handing back the form to him. Her handwriting was very neat.
The principal looked at her strangely. How did she learned to write in the jungle?
"My Daddy thought me how to write. At first I used twigs but later on, Dad made me a pencil." Amaya narrated. She seemed to have read his mind.
The principal cleared his throat. "Oh, I see. You have a beautiful handwriting. Even more beautiful than most of the students in this school.
"Thank you principal." Amaya replied politely.
Principal Lazada checked the admission form and his eyes widened when he saw the entry for the student’s father.
"Princess, you have misspelled your father’s name. You wrote Ibrahim instead of Ibarra."
"But Ibrahim is my father." Amaya protested.
An awkward silence ensued.
Armando tried to break the silence.
"Amaya was stranded in that island for more than fifteen years. During those years, it was Prince Ibrahim who brought her up." Armando explained.
The principal nodded but Amaya was clearly unhappy. However she decided to drop the topic and let it be.
Earlier, while the principal was checking her papers, she visited the school’s website and had a virtual tour of the campus. She learned that the school was located within the campus of Lireyan Alpha University as both schools were owned by the government. The high school buildings were located on the west side of the campus.
After sometime, a staff came and handed Amaya her school ID and class schedule.
"Princess, please come with me so you can try out your uniform."
Amaya followed the young staff to another room where her measurements were taken before a set of white blouse and an above the knee plaid skirt of burgundy and white was passed to her.
She went inside the fitting room and changed into the blouse and skirt. The style of the skirt was similar to the one she used when hunting back in Miraga.
"How about the shoes, is their a requirement?"
"You can wear any shoe style you want." The young staff told her and then she handed her a bag that containing three sets of uniform. "You are only required to wear uniform from Monday to Wednesday. You are free to wear whatever you like on Thursdays and Fridays.
Amaya thanked the young staff before heading back to the principal’s office. They did not linger in the school. Armando brought Amaya back to Asteria palace.
He sought audience with the King and the Crown Prince.
"Your Majesty, Your Highness," Armando paused and bowed before the king and the crown Prince. "Princess Amaya was admitted to Grade 12. The principal has given her admission tests for Grade 7, Grade 10 and Grade 12 and she aced all the tests."
"She did what?" Prince Ibarra was surprised but he still kept a serious demeanor.
"She got full marks on all the admission tests including that of Grade 12."
King Duncan was grinning from ear to ear. "I don’t expect much from her considering the situation of how she grew up. How did she learn without books and the internet? It couldn’t be Ibrahim’s stack knowledge right? I think it is the genes."
"When I asked her, she said that she took mock exams last night and while we were on the way to school."
"Maybe, she just got lucky and the questions on the mock exams might be the same ones that came out during her exam." Prince Ibarra tried to explain. "But it’s good that she aced it and can be in Grade 12."
That evening in the dining hall...
"Nello, Ella, your elder sister passed the Grade 12 admission test. Starting tomorrow, she will go to school. Though you are not allowed to go together in the same car, try to make her comfortable in the school okay?" Prince Ibarra talked gently. 𝕗𝕣𝐞𝐞𝘄𝐞𝚋𝚗𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗹.𝚌𝕠𝚖
"Don’t worry Father, I’ll accompany my sister to tour the school tomorrow after class." Donello volunteered excitedly.
"Father, can I go to school tomorrow? I want to accompany Sister Aya too." The cute voice of Yohan filled the dining hall.
Danella snorted. ’What’s with the fuss. Even young Yohan wanted to accompany her.’
Consort Nelida cast a furtive glance at Donello. She has to do something about her son’s closeness to Danaya.
"Yohan, you are only five years old. You are not even in Grade 1 yet. Eat a lot so you grow up fast and then you can go to school."
Yohan nodded obediently. He beamed because his father talked to him. He picked up his spoon and scooped the food from his plate and ate with gusto. His nanny was pleasantly surprised. She glanced sideways at Amaya. Ever since the first princess was brought back, the little boy became lively. She hoped that Princess Amaya would continue to treat Yohan well.
Prince Ibarra chuckled. He looked at his youngest son who looked like him. If only his mother did not die, then Yohan would not have a difficult childhood. A fleeting sadness crossed his eyes. Amelia has brought him happiness in the short time that they were married. After Danaya, she was the woman that he liked. Her demeanor reminded him so much of Danaya. Maybe that was the reason why he liked her.
"A penny for your thoughts my dear husband?" A coquettish voice brought him back to the dining table.
He smiled at Nelida but it did not reach his eyes.
"It is just a trivial matter." He said indifferently then continued his dinner.
After dinner, Amaya served the medicinal concoction to her grandmother. Her color started to improve.
"Grandma, after a week you should be able to join us during dinner."
"Yes, yes Aya. I definitely will." Queen Lucinda watched as her granddaughter checked the potpourri then turned around and headed toward her bed.
"Goodnight Gandma. Sleep well. I’ll come by again tomorrow." She bent down to kiss her grandma on the forehead.
She headed to the garden as it was still early for sleep. It was 9:00 pm so it should be 9:00 am in Usturia.
She gestured to Lilia and her maid spread out a thin mattress on the grass. Amaya lay down and gazed at the stars. She took out her cell phone and dialed Marx’s number.
"Hello." A sweet voice of a woman answered her.
Amaya frowned. She looked at the screen and confirmed that she did not make a mistake.
"I am looking for Marx. Who are you?" Amaya asked tentatively.
"I am his fiancée."
