Chapter 219: The Story of Sofia 3

When Helena woke up the following morning, the sun was already up, and Sanya’s bed has been tidied up.

’Damn, how did I sleep soundly?’

After breakfast, the caravan started moving. They arrived at their next destination at dusk. It was too late to set up the circus so the women went to look around town while the men had a drinking session.

Sanya went back ahead of the others. She sneaked into the ringmaster’s mobile dwelling. She was about to look under the bed for the money bag that her mother saved throughout the years, when a big and rough hand pulled her and flung her onto the bed.

Sanya’s eyes widened when she saw who he was.

"Fa... Father?" she stammered.

The ringmaster was drunk. Under the influence of alcohol, he looked at Sanya with undisguised lust.

"You have grown so beautiful. Don’t you know that I have been coveting you for a long time?" He reached out and pinned her on the bed.

Sanya was scared.

"Father... please don’t do this." She whispered pitifully as tears streamed down from her beautiful eyes.

"Heh! I am not your biological father. That pitiful look of yours has no effect on me." He ripped Sanya’s upper dress exposing her fair chest. The ringmaster drooled while Sanya was struggling so hard to escape from him. She wanted to shout for help but she was so scared that only whimpers came out of her throat.

The ringmaster forcefully removed her underwear and was about to force himself on her when Sanya heard a loud thud. The ringmaster slumped over her. Sanya was so disgusted that she immediately pushed him away.

"Mo... Mother" she stammered. She was still in shock and traumatized by the experience.

Her ’mother’ ignored her. She bent down and lifted the cover of the secret opening on the floor under the bed.

Sanya hurriedly changed into her mother’s clothes as her dress could no longer be worn.

"You are no longer safe here. Hurry up and leave. There is a bus that would leave at midnight to go to the Capital." She stuffed the money bag into Sanya’s hand before she hurriedly unclasped the necklace from her neck.

"This is from your mother which she gave to you. It is a locket and there is a photo of your parents inside." She paused and then hugged Sanya tightly.

"Go find your family and have a good life, Sofia Qin. Your father’s name is Jack Qin" She released her and pushed her to the door. "Remember, your real name is Sofia Qin. Go now!"

Sanya turned around and hugged her mother tightly. "Thank you for your help tonight, Mother, and thank you for raising me. You will always be a mother to me." Then she left without turning back.

She hurried into their camper. She took a few sets of clothes and stuffed them into her backpack. She changed into a black shirt, and a back pants and put on a black hoodie. Not far away, she heard the voices of her roommates.

Sanya hurriedly took her favorite dagger under her pillow. She went to Helena’s bed and took a moneybag under the mattress. She did not steal from her two other roommates who were also dancers. Those two treated her well.

Sanya exited from the camper van and blended into the night. She took a trike and her destination was the bus terminal.

...

After five days in the Capital, Sanya’s spirit was crushed. The money that her nanny had given her plus the one she stole from Helena was depleting very fast. If she was not careful, she would starve in the next few days.

She anticipated that it was not easy to find her family but she did not think that it would be very hard. There were a lot of Qins in the capital. She tried to search on the internet but the ones she found were not her family at all. She was almost harmed by one of the Qin family.

It was another futile day. Sofia rented a small room in the slum area of the Capital. She was lucky that she knew how to apply makeup. When she was in the slums, she intentionally made herself ugly so as not to attract attention. She also has a fake ID that showed her age as 18.

Sofia checked the contents of her money bag. After paying one month advance for the room and her expenses on the meals for the past week, the amount of money she had was only half of the original value. If she still did not find her family, then she needed to look for a job.

Sofia sighed and fell into a deep slumber.

The next morning, she woke up early. She memorized the address that the old lady gave her the other day. She helped an old lady cross the street. Initially, she did not want to ask but after a while, she asked the Granny if she knew a high-ranking official by the name of Jack Qin.

"Of course, young lady. Who doesn’t know the Prime Minister of Chaneya."

Sofia froze. Prime Minister. How could she get near him?

A young teenager has been standing for a long time outside a huge iron gate. Earlier she approached the guard and asked about Jack Quin.

"What do you want to know about our Master?" The guard asked in annoyance.

"I have something to give... to... him..." Sofia studdered.

"Get lost! Do you think our master would just accept something from a random stranger? Get lost!"

The guard chased her away. Sofia wanted to say that she was looking for her father but she knew that it would spell trouble for her.

She decided to stand and wait from a distance. Suddenly there was a commotion at the gate. The guards were extremely respectful as they bowed slightly to the vehicles that were about to go out.

There were three vehicles in all. Sofia let the first one pass and when the second vehicle was about to pass her, she hurriedly went to the middle of the road. A loud screeching sound was heard followed by a loud thud.,
