Chapter 120: The Exam Results

On Friday morning, Teacher Gamala brought out the test papers and handed them back to the students. She handed the last set of test papers to Amaya.

"Congratulations class. I am so proud of you. The class average is higher this time." Teacher Gamala paused as if she wanted to give emphasis on her next announcement.

"I am also very happy to announce that for the first time, we have a student who has gotten a perfect score in all the subjects."

"What? Is that even possible?" the entire class have these question painted on their faces.

Teacher Gamala gave out a hearty laugh.

"We teachers have the same expression as you. Indeed, it is unprecedented but it happened and we are very proud."

"Who is it?" The entire class’s attention was directed to the front to where Amaya and Julienne were seated. They were the only two new students who joined. It should be one of them.

Julienne felt that there were many eyes boring at her back. She turned around, shrugged her shoulders, and mouthed ’It is not me.’

"Amaya," Teacher Gamala called out with a smile on her face. "Please come to the front." She waited until Amaya was standing in the front.

"Class, let us congratulate Amaya for her achievements. It is truly amazing."

The sound of clapping filled the entire classroom. When it died down said a few more words.

"Those of you who want to know what the correct answer is, you can ask Amaya. I am giving you the next hour to ask and find out the correct answers for the items that you missed."

Amaya stood from her chair and went to the front. She heard a mocking voice from the back. "Isn’t it expected? She is supposed to be in Senior High School. She is two years older for this class."

Amaya was standing beside Teacher Gamala. She scanned the back to determine who mocked her. It was Samantha’s lackey.

"Don’t say that, Eloisa. This is after all Amaya’s first time schooling. Let us give her the credit that is due her." Samantha stood up for Amaya. Julienne looked back and narrowed her eyes as she scrutinized Samantha. The entire class was dumbfounded. They could not believe that it was Samantha who spoke and defended Amaya.

Teacher Gamala did not hear what the conversations were. She thought they were just casual remarks and brushed them aside.

Amaya looked at Samantha thoughtfully. Why did she suddenly change? Does she want to be friends with her?

The news that a student from a fourth-year high school in Class Alpha got full marks in all subjects spread like wildfire in the school. It took only a few minutes before the identity of the student was revealed.

"The princess is really a genius. Is there someone in the school’s history who has the same achievement?" one of the students asked a classmate.

"There is none. The closest would be a student from ten years ago who got perfect in all four subjects and one mistake in Physics and Mathematics."

"She is beauty and brains, a daughter greatly blessed by the heavens." The sickly-looking man with long luminous red hair with nose earrings and three studs on each of his lobes said in a whimsical way.

The female student seated beside him looked at him strangely. She has been her seatmate since the school opening and yet she could not still get used to his weird ways with words.

When Donello received the news, that his elder sister got a perfect score in all her subjects, he felt proud. His scores were not bad, as he was in the top ten of his class, but he did not get any full marks at all.

"Hey, that is my sister. Don’t you think she is amazing?" He bragged.

"Prince Donello, is your sister a human? What is her IQ? How did she achieve such a feat when she grew up in the jungle?" His best friend Elijah questioned him.

"I supposed she is a genius. My Uncle Ibrahim also taught her when they were marooned on the island."

Meanwhile, in Danella’s classroom...

"Ella, the entire school is in an uproar because of your sister." Danella’s best friend Aneeka reported to her. She frowned and felt irritated.

"Princess, you didn’t tell us that your sister is so smart. She is one of a kind."

"You are lucky. You have a very intelligent person. You should not have problems when doing difficult assignments. You can simply ask that she solve it for you.

"If I have a sister like her, then my student life wouldn’t be such a mess and I will definitely will not get average scores.." Lady Arabella, daughter of the Duke of Viscarra spoke recklessly.

Princess Danella pursed her lips. Arabella was her rival as the school muse and both of them has a crush on the same man. Arabella found an opportunity to piss her off.

Danella cannot take it anymore. She wanted to shout at her classmates and tell them to shut up but her mother always reminded her that as a princess she should always be level-headed and calm. She went out of the room with the excuse of going to the restroom.

Her scores were just average and she was being compared to her sister. She hated Amaya for going to the same school as her. Why didn’t she just take homeschooling?

Danella was not used to being compared. She was pampered at the palace and if there was a comparison, she was always the benchmark. To put it bluntly, she was the one being compared. Though she has two half-sisters, she looked better in every aspect compared to them.

Amaya was in fourth year high school which was also Grade 10. She and her twin brother was in their third year which is the same as Grade 9. There is only one year difference between them.

She called her mother. When the call connected she put on a pitiful voice.

"Mother, I am being bullied!"
