Chapter 515: 8.32-How To Deal With Her?-Monster Heist

When Victor slowly opened his eyes, he was immediately hit with a throbbing headache and a queasy feeling in his chest and stomach. As he tried to piece together the events of the previous night, he suddenly realized that he was not alone in bed. To his left, he saw a fat woman with a cartoonish monkey mask, her head propped up by her palm.

Bing Shi gave him a bottle of water, which she was sipping on, "I’m feeling super nice today, and decided to put on this cute mask instead of revealing my face to wake you up. Thirsty?"

She went into an airplane posture as he whacked her away against the wall with a swoosh of his palm, "Weeeeu." She flew around the room in slow motion before landing back on the bed next to him, "One more time?"

"..." Victor didn’t have a single clue how to deal with this person. Her face was not something he wanted to see first thing in the morning, so how generous of her to keep it hidden. What kind of a punisher was he to be more bothered by the punishment he came up with rather than the one being punished?

He noticed the dampness beneath him and questioned, "Did you try to kill me?" His eyes scanned his disheveled appearance—at his chest covered in carvings that looked like they were done by a knife.

Bing Shi shook her head, "No, I’m just here to remind you of the deal we made yesterday, remember? I thought you might chicken out, so I came to check on you." A fresh alpha’s blood would always come in handy. His self-healing ability was insane, so she made sure to collect enough blood for her team too.

She pointed at the craving atop his heart that she had done after drawing his blood with a syringe, "Look. I drew wings for your heart. Aren’t they cute?" she exclaimed, showing off her bloody doodles with pride. Dai An asked her to try the sedatives for the beasts in this world, and they worked crazily well.

"What.the.hell did you do to me?!" Victor growled, wincing as he wiped his chest with his hand, and noticing the mixture of blood and black ink on his palm. Was she finally retaliating against the things he had done to her face and body?

He couldn’t be certain as he didn’t sense any vindictiveness, despite the fact that he was now drenched in his own blood! Although he made an effort to maintain his composure, the searing pain was challenging to disregard upon awakening.

Bing Shi seemed completely indifferent to Victor’s agony and gestured toward the dragon tattoo that spanned across his chest. "I thought your dragon needed a little love in its eyes, so I drew hearts in them. Now, Mr. Draggy McHearteyes can finally express his innermost feelings."

"Mr. Draggy McHearteyes?" Victor frowned as he looked down at his chest, seeing the dragon tattoo the previous Victor had gotten years ago, now with two huge hearts for its eyes. To his horror, he realized that the dragon tattoo on his chest had also been defaced with a new background, made by a series of jagged knife wounds that cut deep into his skin.

Bing Shi tilted her head slightly, her eyes behind the mask gleaming with a childlike innocence that seemed out of place, "You don’t like it? I just thought it would look cute. You know, like a badass dragon with a heart," she said with a small drop to her shoulders, "But I guess the style is not for everyone."

"..." Victor’s anger flared up even more. Cute? She permanently altered his tattoos without his consent! And thought it was cute? He had expected her to retaliate against him one day, but never in such a ’chummy’ way...

His face leaned over, just a few inches away from her, "Are you insane? How could you expect someone to like this?"

He couldn’t believe he was even considering it, but did he somehow fall in love with this psychopath? How else could he explain the lack of hatred he felt toward her?

Bing Shi tilted her head to the side, studying him, "But that’s the thing, Victor. You’re not like most people. Most would have already forsaken me for what I did. I don’t mind what you’ve done to me, but I do wish we could simplify things between us. Shall we make this our starting point? Something that we can both reminisce about and chuckle at later on?"

"You’re insane," he repeated, more to himself than to her, "Completely and utterly insane."

He must be insane to not mind what she had done at all. It was a strange feeling of relief. Victor allowed Silvia to ’die’, planning to send her to his space after her burial. But to his surprise, she dug her way out while coming up with a whole new identity.

Given Riley’s high EQ and IQ, he probably noticed that there was something off about Silvia, but Riley never did anything about it. This woman could befriend them, then backstab them easily if she wanted to take the easiest path to eliminate them.

So why did she willingly subject herself to Riley’s and Victor’s sadistic games? Sacrificing herself seemed like such a high price to pay when Victor got to know her other side, "Did the HQ make you do this?" 𝑓𝘳𝑒𝑒𝓌𝘦𝘣𝘯ℴ𝑣𝘦𝑙.𝘤𝑜𝑚

"No. It’s because of my hero complex," Bing Shi replied with a sigh, her eyes looking off into the distance as if lost in thought. "People don’t realize that it takes greater effort and deeper commitment to cultivate a hero than it does to create a villain."

She continued, "And I found out I’ve got a bit of a knack for cultivating antiheroes. I mean, look at Riley and Damon," she said with a flourish as if they were her prize-winning plants. Nobody would say that those two used to be indifferent walking catastrophes.

A few moments later...

"Excuse me, Victor," said Bing Shi, her voice laced with sweetness and politeness, as she made her proposal to the absentminded Victor, "I was wondering if you would be interested in going on a double date with me and Leon, and you and Elera? It could be a lot of fun, and I think Leon would agree as well. Of course, I still need to confirm with him."

"..." Victor tried to make sense of the situation. He leaned in as if being closer to her would help him gauge his feelings for her. His lips were met with the plastic surface of Bing Shi’s mask, and he could feel the coldness of it against his own lips.

Bing Shi sprang up from the bed towards the bathroom mirror, "What have you done to my cute mask?!" she exclaimed, inspecting it closely. She watched in horror as she discovered a large crack in the plastic.

"I’ll never forgive you for this!" she wailed, storming out of the room.

Victor could hear her cries from down the hall, and realized he made a grave mistake. "Fuck," he muttered under his breath. Her ugly look didn’t have much effect on him, because deep down, he knew he could alter it to his liking whenever he wanted.

Bing Shi immediately ran to the room next door, barging into the similar bathroom, where the one who gifted her the mask was showering. "It broke," she sobbed.

Turning off the shower before she could get wet, Ru Quan felt a mix of emotions as she rubbed her monkey face into his chest like a child that had been wronged, "I’ll give you a new one and make sure it’s even cuter than this one," he whispered, rubbing her back gently.
