QT: Against My Will-Chapter 514 - 8.31-Drinking Competition-Monster Heist
Henry observed his lady’s leadership style and noticed that she had formed a dangerous bond between them that went beyond mere friendship or camaraderie. Bertha didn’t fit in with the rest of the team, but when they thought about it, none of them really did.
They were a bunch of misfits, and it became an unspoken rule between the members to look after each other. They may have been weirdos in the eyes of society, but to each other, they became a tribe, a support system, and a home.
Ru Quan leaned down towards Bing Shi after he fully recovered, "Do you want to try out the ones with alcohol? Don’t worry, I’ll make sure you don’t have too much. We’ll just have a little taste."
Bing Shi hesitated for a moment before nodding. "Okay, just a little taste."
With a chuckle, Ru Quan grasped her hand and guided her toward the bar. He then gestured to the bartender for a selection of specific drinks.
While serving the drinks, the bartender observed that Bing Shi was being cautious and taking small sips before passing them to the LAD to finish. "..."
"Why don’t I watch over you while you have your drinks?" she proposed. "I wouldn’t mind seeing you a little tipsy," she added.
"Alright then, I’ll trust you to keep an eye on me," Ru Quan conceded. Although he wasn’t a fan of alcohol and had only been drunk once before, he was eager to try something strong again.
The bartender mixed various drinks, and Ru Quan drank them all down effortlessly as if he were drinking water.
"You didn’t even flinch!" Bing Shi exclaimed, clapping her hands in admiration.

A few moments later, Victor himself appeared, and the clubgoers fell silent. He wore a sleek suit that looked like it had been tailored specifically for him and carried himself with the confidence of someone who knew they were in charge.
Acknowledging Ru Quan with a nod, Victor walked up to the bar, his gaze lingering on Bing Shi briefly before ordering himself a drink and taking a seat beside her, "I heard you’ve been causing quite a stir," he said, his voice smooth and deep, "I hope you’re not planning on causing any trouble in my nightclub. Because if you do, you’ll regret it."
Bing Shi took off her mask to make Victor lose his appetite. Making ugly faces, she pulled at her nose and stretched her eyes into a piggy expression, "I only want to cause trouble to your heart."
"..." Victor restrained himself from snapping her mask back on and remained silent. Instead, he leaned over her body and glanced at the empty glasses on the table. "This is the first time I’ve seen you drink," he noted, looking over at Ru Quan.
Ru Quan laughed and shook his head. "I hardly ever drink, but this girl here is quite the challenger," he said, gesturing towards Bing Shi, "She had been egging me all night to get drunk."
Victor turned to Ru Quan and proposed, "Looks like I’ve missed out on all the fun. How about we make it a competition? Winner takes all."
Ru Quan raised an eyebrow, intrigued. "And what exactly is ’all’? How about we just let the lady decide the stakes?"
Bing Shi raised her hand, "The loser has to change into an ugly wrinkly old man and promises to have no sex for three years."
Victor and Ru Quan exchanged a quick glance before turning back to Bing Shi. "You’re on," they agreed in unison, quickly drinking a concoction to sober up, causing Bing Shi to burst into laughter.
The competition began, and the two of them downed shot after shot of liquor. Bing Shi put back her mask and remained lively as she accepted bets from those who began to crowd around them, telling jokes and stories, leaving everyone with stitches.
The competition raged on for two hours, with both Victor and Ru Quan proving to be evenly matched. They downed shot after shot of liquor until they were both on the brink of passing out.
"Sweetie..." Ru Quan rose from his chair and hugged Bing Shi from behind. "I love you so much," he slurred, taking another shot over her shoulder, "I want to marry you all over again."
"..." The spectators observed with bewilderment as Ru Quan’s drunken state got the best of him. "That man must be absolutely drunk out of his mind to be spouting such nonsense," they murmured as they watched him profess his love for the least attractive woman in the room.
Victor groaned as he pushed himself up from the table, his head spinning as he grabbed Bing Shi’s arm for support, thinking it was the table.
However, his reflexes were not as sharp as he thought, and he ended up stumbling and falling onto both Bing Shi and Ru Quan. The three of them almost ended up in a heap on the floor.
"..." Bing Shi couldn’t help but feel like a tree, with the two men hanging onto her like Christmas decorations. She beckoned a few of her teammates over to help guide them back to their bar stools and provide fresh drinks for the two competitors.
The match carried on until Victor swayed unsteadily in his seat and ultimately collapsed onto the table.
After some time, Ru Quan’s arm slipped from around Bing Shi’s waist, and he too let his head fall onto the table in a drunken stupor.
Bing Shi raised Ru Quan’s hand triumphantly as the winner of the drinking competition, and the crowd erupted in applause.
She couldn’t help but laugh as she looked down at the two men slumped over the table, retreating her barriers from around their heads. Those two would have declared a tie for sure, but she had already decided on a loser from the very beginning.

Bing Shi reserved thirty hotel rooms for her team and instructed them to retire for the evening, signaling the end of the party.
"Dude, that was one hell of a competition," said Douglas as he came up to help Bing Shi carry the two men into the hotel rooms above the nightclub. "I can’t even remember how many shots they took."
Juliet, Liam, and Henry decided to tag along in case one of the alphas woke up.
Elera dialed Victor’s number, expecting to hear his familiar voice on the other end. However, to her surprise, it was someone else who answered the call.
"Hello?" Bing Shi responded, her voice tinged with curiosity. "Oh, just one of his many admirers...I guess?"
The rest of the team burst out laughing as Bing Shi hung up the phone and tossed it back to Victor’s unconscious form. "Looks like he will have some explaining to do again," she said with a grin.
They settled him into his respective room and left him to rest off his drunken stupor then moved on to Ru Quan.
Bing Shi sat down on the bathtub, brushing his hair out of his face. "I’m sorry again," she whispered before leaning in to plant a soft kiss on his forehead. She then assisted him with drying off and changing into his pajamas before carefully piggybacking him to bed.
Once she had taken a quick shower, Bing Shi nestled next to Ru Quan under the covers and closed her eyes. She initially planned to challenge Victor to a drinking competition herself but ultimately decided to have Ru Quan participate in her stead.
