Uncle Ying nodded. Although he knew the Great Young Madame's words might not be reliable, he still committed everything Julia had said to memory, so that he could relay it to Glades Horne upon his return.

「Valence Group.」

In the grand conference room, Glades Horne still wore the familiar, straight-cut black suit everyone was accustomed to, which his beloved wife now chose for him. The suits he used to custom-make for himself had not been worn in a long time. With an inscrutable expression on his handsome face and his deep eyes gleaming with spirit, he sat in the CEO's chair, lips pursed, listening as the managers reported on the profit and loss situations of each subsidiary for the spring season. Generally, most of Valence Group's subsidiaries were profitable, but some would incur losses due to poor management. Therefore, after each quarterly meeting, some subsidiary managers were invariably replaced. Glades Horne demanded profit, not losses.

It was precisely because of his strict methods that every manager poured all their effort into running the companies entrusted to them, aiming for profit or, at the very least, breaking even.

Therefore, it was said that the managers of Valence Group were the elite of the elite in the business world.

When the clock struck four, evening was not far off.

"Willy Ray, you take over the meeting," Glades Horne suddenly stood up and commanded in a deep voice to one of the core members of the group.

After giving the order, he ignored the astonished gazes of the over one hundred managers in the room and strode out of the conference room.

It was time for him to go home.

Leaving the conference room, he first returned to his CEO's Office and took two boxes of chocolates from the snack cabinet, planning to bring them home for Julia to bolster her strength during childbirth.

With the chocolates in hand, he finally left the company.

"Home, as fast as possible."

As he stepped out of the Office Building and into his silver-white Rolls-Royce, he gave his bodyguard a low command.

"Yes, Young Master." 𝐟𝚛𝕖𝚎𝕨𝗲𝐛𝚗𝐨𝐯𝐞𝕝.𝐜𝗼𝗺

The bodyguard responded and, once Glades was seated, started the engine, driving towards Golden Kirin Garden.

"Young Master, you've brought chocolate again," a bodyguard remarked with a light smile upon seeing the chocolates in his hand.

Glades Horne remained silent, merely pursing his lips.

Seeing he wasn't speaking, the bodyguard dared not say more, but chuckled inwardly. Good heavens, how much could the Great Young Madame possibly eat? The Young Master brought home two boxes of chocolates at noon and another two in the evening, doing this every day, supposedly for the Great Young Madame to eat during childbirth to replenish her strength. With him bringing them home daily—a total of four boxes each day—chocolates could be found everywhere in the house! He figured the Horne family might as well open a store specializing in chocolate.

About twenty minutes later, the Rolls-Royce pulled into the Horne Family's villa estate.

Julia had already left the courtyard; she had gone back into the house and headed upstairs. The car came to a stop in front of the Main House.

As soon as Uncle Ying saw the Rolls-Royce enter the estate, he jogged towards the Main House.

Glades Horne, holding two boxes of chocolates, stepped out of the car.

Lifting his foot, he walked up the stairs.

"Young Master," Uncle Ying quickly approached.

Without halting his pace, Glades continued up the steps and crossed the threshold into the house.

"Young Master, the Great Young Madame said something very strange today," Uncle Ying followed behind him, reporting Julia's daily condition, a task he had been performing daily for the past few months.

"What did she say?"

"'The Great Young Madame said, "I wonder if June snow is beautiful?"' Uncle Ying reported, carefully observing Glades's expression. It was the scorching heat of June; how could there possibly be snow?"

Glades Horne stopped abruptly, turned to look at Uncle Ying, and asked in a low voice, "What did Julia say?"

"'The Great Young Madame said, "I wonder if June snow is beautiful?" Young Master, in this June weather, it's terribly hot. How could there possibly be snow in June?'"

But Glades Horne fell silent again, his gaze growing deeper. Then, pursing his lips once more, he turned and quietly went upstairs.

Watching Glades Horne's retreating figure, Uncle Ying couldn't help scratching his head and muttered to himself, "The Young Master's expression... it's as if he wants to fulfill the Great Young Madame's wish. However..." He turned and walked outside, continuing to muse aloud, "Look, it's past four o'clock, and the sun is still blazing high in the sky. How could it possibly snow?"

Julia had said that sentence casually; she hadn't taken it to heart.

After Uncle Ying's report, Glades Horne didn't say much either. As soon as he returned, he went upstairs to find Julia. After a tender moment between them, he took her hand, and they walked downstairs. He then led her out of the house for a stroll.

Dusk arrived, and the scorching sun finally, lazily, sank behind the western mountains. The evening glow began to fill the sky. When the last bit of twilight had been swallowed by darkness, night officially fell.

The summer night sky was often filled with myriad stars and a high-hanging moon. Without the daytime heatwave, the moonlit scenery could be quite beautiful.

Actually, every season has its own beauty.

「The next day.」

"It's snowing."

"Wow, it's so beautiful."

"How strange, it's really snowing. Snow in June!"

The Horne Family servants were all captivated by the beautiful scene first thing in the morning.

Countless white snowflakes drifted down from the sky, like a scene from the depths of winter, with heavy flakes fluttering about. Yet, the weather wasn't cold at all. The morning sun had already risen in the east and hung high above, seeming to gaze down on the Horne Family's beautiful scene with puzzled eyes.

The snow fell heavier and heavier, soon blanketing the entire Courtyard in a layer of silvery white, a scene of utmost beauty.

Julia knew nothing of this.

She got up as usual, only today she noticed that Glades Horne had risen very early. By the time she was up, he was nowhere to be seen. Accustomed to seeing his handsome face first thing upon waking, she felt a little disoriented by his absence.

After dressing and washing up, she went downstairs by herself.

Downstairs, she saw that the Old Madame was not sitting on the sofa reading the newspaper as usual. Instead, she stood at the entrance of the Main House, leaning on her cane, gazing upwards at something and exclaiming repeatedly, "Beautiful, truly beautiful!"

What was so beautiful?

Curious, Julia also stepped outside. The moment she crossed the threshold, she froze, her apricot eyes wide with shock as she took in the sight before her. She saw the morning sun suspended high in the sky, yet the vast Courtyard was blanketed in white snow, a boundless expanse of white like the depths of winter. Countless "snowflakes" danced in the air, a breathtakingly beautiful snowstorm.

This? What was happening? Had it really started snowing in June?

Snapping back to reality, Julia, too astonished to think further, hurried down the steps. She excitedly stretched out her hands in front of the door, hoping to catch a few snowflakes. She loved snow and was as exhilarated as a child.

Seeing her excitement, the Old Madame couldn't help but warn, "Julia, be careful! Be careful of the child in your belly!" This girl, when she got excited, almost forgot she was heavily pregnant.

"Grandma, it's so beautiful, so beautiful! This snow... although it's fake, the scene looks just like the real thing. It's truly beautiful! Snow in June—so this is how lovely it is! The sun overhead, and snow falling beneath it—it's gorgeous! Uniquely beautiful!"

Of course, she knew the snow was fake. She could still tell that it was absolutely impossible for it to snow in June.

The snowflakes continued to dance. From the top floor, Glades Horne's deep gaze remained fixed on his excited wife below, an indulgent smile unconsciously playing on his lips.

After a while, he stopped sprinkling the powder from above. It was white powdered cheese used in Western cuisine; chilled and then sprinkled from a height, it became fake snow. He had read about this in a book. To let his beloved wife see the beauty of June snow, he had researched extensively on how to create fake snow and eventually decided this method was quite good.

Julia looked up from below and saw him on the top floor. She knew this beautiful June snowscape was his creation.

Suddenly, she remembered the casual remark she had made to Sister Hong the day before. It must have been Sister Hong who told him what she'd said, and then he created this beautiful scene for her. No wonder she hadn't seen him when she woke up this morning!

A sweeter, more radiant smile, facing the still-dancing snowflakes, reached Glades Horne's eyes on the top floor, causing his own smile to deepen. Then, he sprinkled a little more of the remaining powdered cheese before turning to hurry downstairs. He wanted to share with her the beauty and experience of snow in June.
