Omega's Rebirth-Chapter 75: Bringing New Life ()

"Push harder, Luna! The pup will be born soon, just keep at it!" One of the Omega healers instructed.

Neveah winced as Luna Colleen’s grip on her hand tightened painfully as she pushed with all her strength, screaming out her pain.

"The pup is out! A girl!" The Omega healer announced.

A loud cry was heard and Neveah breathed a shaky sigh as she felt her anxiety reduce just a little fraction at the birth of the first pup.

"A girl Leen, we have a girl!" Alpha Dane exclaimed in excitement just as Luna Colleen screamed out in pain as another round of contractions began.

It was already dark, it had taken almost an entire day of labor for Luna Colleen’s first child to be born and Neveah’s ever calm countenance was slowly slipping.

All the screams was getting to her head and her wolf was becoming restless and snapping at everyone who came too close to her as though she was the one giving birth.

Neveah guessed her wolf could feel her concern for the pups and reflected it by becoming overly protective, thankfully the first pup had been delivered successfully.

Neveah had hoped it would take sometime and Luna Colleen would get a breathing space before her contractions began again but it seemed that would not be the case.

"The second pup is coming! Quickly, take the young one away and clean her up!" The Omega healer in charge of the birthing process instructed.

Luna Colleen instantly jerked up to a sitting position at the words of the Omega healer, her eyes glowing fiercely as a deadly growl escaped her lips.

"Leen! Calm yourself!" Alpha Dane pleaded

"No one touches my pups but Veah... only Veah!" Luna Colleen ordered as another scream ripped out of her throat but she refused to back down.

"Veah... quickly, take our daughter away." Alpha Dane said.

"Veah... I’m trusting you... don’t let anyone near them! No one can harm my pups!" Luna Colleen screamed out, finally releasing her hold on Neveah’s hand.

Neveah nodded as she rose to her feet and headed over to where an Omega healer cradled the new born pup, looking terrified since Alpha Dane’s fierce gaze was fixed on her.

Neveah hesitated for a moment, she had never held a child before and was not certain what was the right way to do it, she also did not think she was in the best position to be entrusted with this.

"Princess...you have to take the child...or else..." The Omega healer stuttered, glancing tentatively at an agitated Alpha Dane.

Alpha Dane’s wolf was also on the surface, his attention divided between his mate who clung to him as she screamed in pain and his bawling pup.

"I... give her here." Neveah murmured as she reached out and took the pup, her heart trembling slightly at the sight of the small bundle, still covered in blood and birth fluids.

"Is everything prepared?" Neveah asked, gesturing to the washroom.

"It is." The Omega healer affirmed.

"I cannot tend to the child... come with me." Neveah instructed as she led the way to the washroom and two Omega healers followed behind her.

"I will be here...see to it that she is cleaned up and well fed, if anything goes wrong... I am just one of the people on a long line ready to rip your heads off." Neveah reminded as she sat at the side.

Neveah could hear Luna Colleen’s screams in the background as the pup was cleaned up and dressed before a bottle of warm milk that had already been prepared was brought out.

’That healer’s heart is pounding suspiciously...it’s not just fear.’ Neveah’s wolf who had been quiet for days said all of a sudden.

"Wait!" Neveah snapped as she got as she took the milk and opened the bottle, lifting it up to her nose and sniffing it, just to be sure.

Neveah’s eyes narrowed suspiciously as she handed the bottle of milk to the healer her wolf had pointed out.

"You drink it." Neveah said in a dark tone and the healer’s eyes widened.

"W... what?! It was prepared for the child!" The Omega healer exclaimed.

"And I am telling you to drink it right now!" Neveah snapped furiously as she snatched the pup away from the hands of the Omega healer.

Neveah grabbed a hold of the healer’s shirt with her free hand and pulled her out with her, paying no attention to her resistance.

"Veah?" Alpha Dane asked in concern as he looked up to see the scene.

"Just tend to Leen, I will take care of it." Neveah assured in a grim tone as she pulled the Omega healer out of the ward, tossing her to the ground where Dechlan and Vincent awaited anxiously.

Both of their gazes lifted to meet Neveah and then moved to the bundle cradled in her arms, their gazes lighting up with joy.

"This milk... she prepared it for the pup but refuses to drink it... Vincent, feed it to her." Neveah said in a dark tone.

She was not certain what was going on, but she did not see any reason why anyone would need to refuse tasting the milk they had prepared.

Vincent’s gaze darkened at Neveah’s report, he understood Neveah’s implications and so he did not hesitate for even a second.

He took the bottle of milk from Neveah’s hands and stalked towards the trembling Omega healer,

"Just how many of them are they?!" Dechlan hissed furiously, Neveah turned to him.

"Has there been any recent births in the pack?" Neveah asked and Dechlan nodded.

"Fetch me a nursing mother... I won’t have the pups drink anything they have prepared but she needs to be fed." Neveah said with a sigh.

"Right away." Dechlan said as he dashed away hurriedly.

Neveah did not pay attention to the Omega healer and Vincent as she headed back into the ward.

A joyous day dawned on the Eclipse Hunt Pack as the cry of a new born pup was heard... after two days of labor, the third pup was finally born to Alpha Dane and Luna Colleen.

Neveah breathed a sigh of relief, her muscles ached with exhaustion as she had immediately come to Luna Colleen’s aid after her morning training but all of that did not matter as she took the bloodied pup,

Luna Colleen had demanded all the pups be handed to Neveah as soon as they were born, she was adamant and refused to entrust them to anyone else since she was too week to tend to them herself.

"Leen! Leen!" Alpha Dane called to an unresponsive Luna Colleen.

"The Luna has lost consciousness, but she will be fine." The pack doctor assured.

Neveah carried away the pup to the adjoined room where she watched in person as the Omega healers bathed the new born pup and dressed him.

Neveah then headed to the other room where she had left the two baby girls, a small smile settled on her lips as she watched them sleeping peacefully.

Vincent had also come in to watch over the pups in person, only then could Neveah step out to see to other matters.

Neveah was not certain what Vincent had done to the Omega healer and she did not care to know either, she was just glad her wolf had sensed something was off in time, otherwise they may have lost one of the three pups.

Neveah handed the pup over to the nursing mother who breastfed the pup and when the pup had eaten to his fill, Neveah took him back.

"My child...my child..." Luna Colleen called weakly and Neveah immediately took the pup back out, nodding to Vincent to bring along the girls.

"They’re with me, I have not left them to anyone else." Neveah said as she walked over to Luna Colleen who stared up tiredly.

"You have done well." Neveah said with a small smile before she placed down the pup beside Luna Colleen.

"A prince..." Neveah began, moving aside to let Vincent move forward.

"And two princesses." Neveah added. 𝐟𝕣𝕖𝐞𝐰𝕖𝚋𝐧𝗼𝚟𝐞𝕝.𝗰𝐨𝐦

The joy on Luna Colleen’s face could not be described as she stared at her pups... after so many years of pains and sorrows, she finally got her wish.

Watching her like this, Neveah wondered if all mothers cherished their pups just as Luna Colleen did... then had Neveah’s mother cherished her too?

Shaking off those thoughts, Neveah stepped away as she still did not feel like a part of this family, she stayed at a distance and just stared.

All three pups had been delivered safely, all of Neveah’s efforts had not been in vain. Neveah was relieved, with this, she had now paid back the debt of gratitude she owed to the Eclipse Hunt wolves from her previous lifetime.

With this, she had been able to fulfill this vow she had left unfulfilled before her death and the knot in her heart unwound by a fraction, just as it had when she bid her goodbyes to Lucas and his mate, Meira.

Neveah’s thoughts were cut off when Dechlan rushed into the room.

"Veah! Someone is here from the Eclipse Palace!" Dechlan exclaimed in panic.
