The words rang through Neveah’s mind repeatedly as she stood frozen for a moment, her mind reeling from Dechlan’s words,

All other thoughts were forgotten in the wake of Dechlan’s revelation and all gazes settled on Neveah.

"Veah..." Luna Colleen said in a worried tone but her voice sounded much too far away to Neveah.

It had been so many months since she had last heard from her father, he had not sent word ever since Lucas had found his mate and all plans of their betrothal crashed.

Neveah did not know if he was angered by the turn of events or scheming some other malicious plan as he always did, but he had said nothing up until this moment, no word...no message, no enquiry, nothing.

The last she had heard from him was the threat regarding her mother and she had not expected to hear from him anytime soon, she truly had hoped she would never hear from him again until she was far away from the Eclipse Domain.

It was only a short time left till she could truly be free, her days of freedom were already in sight so just what was this about?

Neveah could not understand why her father would send word now, why now of all times? Luna Colleen had just put to birth, news could not have reached the Eclipse Palace already.

Alpha Dane had already made plans to keep the news under control till Neveah could get away safely, they all knew it clearly that the safe delivery of Luna Colleen meant Neveah’s time in the Eclipse Hunt had come to an end.

If her father heard of it, he would order for her return immediately and she would be forced to obey, but now... how had her father sent someone over already? Right at this time? For what purpose?

"I do not think they are here with good intentions. He insists on seeing Neveah immediately and would not even wait in the Alpha’s office." Dechlan revealed in a grim tone.

"Veah...do not go out, I will go to see them. This is my territory, they cannot act as they please here." Alpha Dane said in a dark tone as he rose to his feet but Neveah shook her head.

"Whoever my father has sent will not leave until they set eyes on me, if the Eclipse Hunt Pack cannot explain my whereabouts clearly, there will be consequences." Neveah said in a grim tone.

"We were already prepared to face them to send you away after Leen’s delivery, it is only a moment too soon." Alpha Dane insisted.

"A moment too soon is time enough, this is a critical point for the Eclipse Hunt Pack, you cannot afford to incur my father’s wrath."

"My father will use me as a justification to take away your Alpha title by force just as he has wanted to do for the longest time. I will not be caught in the middle of this crossfire and I cannot leave Eclipse Hunt now with them here."

"I have to meet them." Neveah said.

Alpha Dane and Luna Colleen exchanged glances, Luna Colleen was exhausted but still worried for Neveah, however they knew Neveah’s words were right.

It would be a different case if Neveah had already left but since she was still here, if Alpha Dane acted like she was absent, the Alpha King would immediately order a search for her and Neveah would be caught even if she tried to leave.

The Eclipse Domain was still so vast, there was not enough time to get away from it completely before a search for her will be ordered.

There was no benefit to be gained from riling up the Alpha King at this point, especially after what had happened with Lucas Varleston.

Neveah knew her father well enough, if he had sent a messenger at this time, it could only mean there was already suspicion and suspicion meant trouble.

"Dane, go with her." Luna Colleen said and Alpha Dane nodded.

Neveah strode out and headed out of the pack hospital and she was not surprised to find a familiar figure standing there, his back faced to the pack hospital with his arms crossed behind his back.

"Lado." Neveah said in a blank tone, and he turned around, his gaze settling on Neveah and his brows tilting into their usual condescending look.

Other than Lado himself, there were six other Eclipse Fang warriors who had accompanied him and each of them were the very best warriors of Eclipse Fang, her father’s elite.

From this setting alone, Neveah could already tell what was coming was something she would not like.

"Your Grace, it has been many months." Lado acknowledged in his usual cold tone before his gaze moved to Alpha Dane and he tilted his head down to a small bow.

It was ironic how Lado was willing to lower his head before an Eclipse Alpha but did not care about ranks when it came to Neveah,

But then again, Lado and relatively everyone in the Eclipse Fang Pack disregarded Neveah and only accorded her respect on the surface.

"Lado, I was unable to welcome you at the border in person, we were not notified of your coming." Alpha Dane began calmly.

"We are the royal warriors, we do not need to notify you before we come. We are here on the Alpha King’s orders but from the atmosphere I see, it seems Alpha Dane is now a father." Lado commented, gesturing at the blood stains on both Neveah and Alpha Dane’s clothing.

"It is indeed so." Alpha Dane said in a tight tone, there was no use denying it since Lado had only mentioned it because he was sure of it.

"On behalf of the eclipse royals, I bid you congratulations Alpha Dane." Lado said.

"Many thanks. I have to wonder, what brings you to the Eclipse Hunt, does the Alpha King have orders for me?" Alpha Dane asked and Lado smirked slightly before his gaze settled on Neveah.

Neveah did not flinch or avert her gaze, since it had come to this, she would not show any signs of intimidation... she was far beyond that already.

"We have not come for you, Alpha Dane. Since the affairs in Eclipse Hunt are settled, by orders of His Lordship... Princess Neveah is to return with us to the Eclipse Palace, immediately." Lado revealed.

Neveah had already been expecting these words but she still could not avoid that sinking feeling in her her as she knew she could not escape this.

If her father had sent for her, he surely had measures just in case Neveah had revealed anything and Lado’s next words confirmed it.

"My mate has only just put to birth but a moment ago, Veah cannot leave her side so soon." Alpha Dane stated firmly.

"We thought you might say that. His Lordship has sent along with us a skilled Omega healer who will take over the Princess’s place and tend to the Luna of Eclipse Hunt."

"As for the Princess’s entourage, the rest of the warriors await beyond Eclipse Hunt border and I have only come with a few of them." Lado added.

Lado’s words were an obvious threat, the Eclipse warriors they had brought along were much more than just the seven of them standing here and they would not be easily turned away.

"So many warriors are needed to escort the Princess back to the Eclipse Fang Pack?" Alpha Dane asked in a dark tone, understanding the threat.

"Not necessarily, but Princess Neveah is especially cherished by His Lordship and is his only daughter. His Lordship is more detailed about her safety and we do not dare leave anything to chance." Lado said, his smirk still intact on his face.

Neveah understood that if Alpha Dane had not come out without her in tow, the warriors awaiting outside the border would have already attacked the Eclipse Hunt Pack.

Regardless of everything else, the Eclipse Hunt Pack was still unable to withstand the Eclipse royals, Neveah knew this clearly and as Alpha Dane was about protesting, she cut him off.

She would not have the Eclipse Hunt take on the Eclipse royals because of her, especially not at such a time when Luna Colleen had just put to birth.

"I understand father’s intentions, I will change out of these bloodied clothing and return back with you." Neveah said with a forced smile.

Alpha Dane passed Neveah a glare and she shook her head slightly to deter him from speaking any further.

"His Lordship sent you a set of travel clothing to change into." Lado said as he nodded to one of the warriors who strode up to Lado to deliver the box.

Lado took it and then gestured for Neveah to lead the way, Neveah frowned slightly but turned and headed to her room, Lado in tow behind her.
