As humiliating as it is for Alex who was the one that had sent Nelson packing from the family house, his shamelessness didn’t make him realize how absurd it is for him to say that he missed him.

Yeah, this wasn’t the initial plan he had in mind when he met him, but his giddiness couldn’t allow him to act according to his plan, but rather he acted like someone who finally reunited with his lover after so many years.

But the look on his son’s face didn’t give him any initiative to say that he was happy to see him, as much as he was. Hence, he had forgotten so soon how hard headed Nelson can be, and maybe he hasn’t forgotten about their disagreement.

It was so alarming that Alex expected that he was a changed person, and had swept everything that had happened under the carpet, but yet he still hasn’t settled with the fact that he was still with that Indian girl.

Besides, he was forced to ask him about his granddaughter, she’s his only concern but he had held in his curiosity, so that he could still appear nonchalant about the fact that he had men watching his movement since yesterday.

He had offered his son that they talk while having a drink, he ached to drink with him since he missed his company, but when Adrian walked into the sitting room with that murderous look in his eyes, that made him understand why exactly Nelson was acting this way, he finally understood that his facade was useless. 𝙛𝓻𝒆𝒆𝒘𝙚𝓫𝙣𝙤𝒗𝙚𝓵.𝙘𝙤𝙢

He has been caught red handed. If there’s anything that Nelson didn’t like, that would be his lies that he always sugarcoats so as he can find a way out of the situation, but right now there is nowhere to go.

There was nothing he could say at the moment that would change either Nelson, nor Adrian’s mind. Although he could care less about what Adrian thinks of him at this moment, he has Nelson with him and with that, he’s satisfied.

"Care to explain why i walked in to see Adrian trying to run away with his fianceè, who looked badly beaten?" Nelson was the first to speak up, since Adrian was still having a little problem with taking out his frustration on their father.

" Fianceè? Is that what he told you?" Alex scoffed at hearing Nelson’s words, just like him he could vouch that Adrian knew how to sugarcoat his lies for his elder brother.

He looked up at the two of them instantly, and wondered when exactly they both became best of friends. If he could remember vividly, the both were sworn enemies ever since they were teens. So why the change so soon?

"You hurt Camille," Adrian gritted out while approaching him, while Cain took the cue to walk in at that moment without Camille. It was a relief that he didn’t actually go forward to bother the girl anymore, because Nelson has been preparing to kill him right now if he had done that.

Camille was innocent, she deserved not to be involved in their family affairs but his father had treated her badly, because she wasn’t from a socialite family. If her parents were people of influence and power, then his father had no right to treat her the way he has done.

"Adrian, don’t start on what i did to her, because i would still do it again if you do much to threaten me." Alex spat viciously, while Adrian kept still on where he was besides his step brother.

"I didn’t know that you were still living this way father, I thought Polina’s death would make you turn to a new life,but i was wrong. It was wrong of me coming here." Nelson said, trying to leave but Alex crossed his path, and stopped him from leaving.

"I know fully well that you wouldn’t just appear out of the blues because you miss me, but whatever it is that brought you here, son. I’m willing to put everything aside and help you." Alex said honestly, and Nelson could see that he wasn’t lying about this one.

But he didn’t want to appear desperate in front of him, his father had managed to figure out his motives for coming here in just less than two hours. That’s why he can’t let him mock him ...yet.

So, he tried to leave, but he touched his shoulder this time for him to see that he was serious.

"You don’t have to do this, Son. Just like you said, five years is enough to put everything aside and start a new beginning.’’Alex said and saw Adrian nearly gag at his words. He had known him quite well to know that he was just bluffing, but he didn’t have his time right now. " So stay." He added, looking at Nelson’s stiff face to see that he was battling within himself to make a decision.

"I’m sorry but i can’t stay, but if you want things between us to be normal. I suggest you start doing what’s right by tending an apology to Camille, and also to Adrian. He needs help and you can’t keep him locked here like some animal." Nelson told him the requirements for things to go back to the way it was between them, but why does his mind tell him that his father was pretending?

He’s just trying to act nice just because he was here.

Instead of him to speak up, he rather burst into laughter." That girl in there means nothing to me, as much as it would mean nothing to Adrian. He’s come too far to settle with the likes of her."

"Just like my wife?" Nelson asked, making a good example of Camille using Marya.it was just like it is with him. He isn’t going to accept Camille into the family." You haven’t ask about her, nor your granddaughter which i am sure you know about, since you did well by having your men keep watch on my family for days now." He added, tilting his head to see Alex’s shameful face.

"I..am just trying to protect you, Adrian. I can’t have any of my children ending up with just anybody."

"Father, I love Camille." Adrian confessed out loudly, making Alex roll his eyes.

"Oh! Shut up, Adrian. You know nothing about love."

"But at least you have to give the girl a chance for you to get to know her, you can’t keep killing everyone because of your children, father. Nelson advised him.

"I would do anything for you all."

"More like you are doing it for your selfish benefit." Adrian muttered under his breath, but when Alex wanted to speak Nelson interfered.

"Talking about protection. Am afraid i have some bad news regarding your granddaughter, father." He said looking up at him, to see the grimace look on his face.

"What do you mean? I am anticipating the next visitation for her to be here.’’Alex asked, only to receive the shocking news that had Adrian worried as well.

"She’s missing. Narika disappeared from home because her life was in danger.
