My Young Husband, The Assasin-Chapter 68: Tetsuya’s sacrifice and the bonds of a new family
Chapter 68 - Tetsuya’s sacrifice and the bonds of a new family
Everyone seemed so happy about the birth of a little angel in the form of a baby boy named Ryuzaki Ishikawa, given by Renji. As good parents, both Aira and Renji will ensure that their child grows up well in an environment filled with affection and love. They won't let him grow up to be a lonely and affection-starved child-like Renji experienced.
This morning, the employees of Asahi came to visit Aira and her baby after they couldn't come yesterday to see Aira's condition post-cesarean surgery because Renji's guards asked them to leave.
In the group Keiko also attended after yesterday, she had to receive treatment due to weakness after donating blood, plus she had bruises on several parts of her body from a fight. Fortunately, Keiko didn't suffer serious injuries. Ryuji faithfully stayed by her side all night, accompanying her because Keiko greatly needed his presence after the incident.
Thanks to that event, the two of them grew closer and more intimate. Besides Keiko, Saki also received treatment yesterday after being shot in the shoulder. After sulking at Issei, she was finally allowed to visit Aira, who Issei accompanied.
Last night, Renji requested the hospital to move Aira to a VIP room for more comfort and space. Fortunately, this was done because Aira's inpatient room was now filled with many people. Besides the Asahi café employees, Hinami was also present, making the atmosphere here lively like a party, especially with congratulations and prayers continuously pouring in for the happy couple. However, it felt incomplete without Tetsuya's presence.
"His face is an exact copy of Renji," Saki commented on Aira's baby's face.
"Because he is my child," Renji replied proudly because the child resembled him.
"People say that if the first child's face resembles the father, it means the father fell in love first," Fujin expressed his opinion.
"I just heard something like that? Where did you get that information?" Saki asked curiously, looking at Fujin in surprise.
"From the market mothers, he frequents," Shintaro interjected, cornering Fujin instead of helping him.
"Turns out Fujin can also gossip with the market mothers," Saki teased with a smirk on her face.
Fujin elbowed Shintaro hard in the stomach for revealing his secret, especially since Rika also smiled and laughed, making Fujin embarrassed. He only intended to express an opinion based on what the market mothers said, but who would have thought it would make him the subject of teasing?
"Alright, alright, stop teasing Fujin-san. But Fujin-san's words are indeed true because Renji-kun was the one who fell in love first," Aira defended, then glanced meaningfully at Renji, "Isn't that right, honey?"
"Yes," Renji confirmed, saving Fujin's face from embarrassment in front of Rika.
The Asahi employees visited for almost an hour. Still, since it was getting late and they also had to work soon because the café opened later today, Saki and Keiko planned to visit again tomorrow to keep Aira company so she would have someone to talk to.
Not long after everyone left, Aira put her baby to sleep in the crib after feeding him, not forgetting to pat his back gently a few times to make him burp.

Tetsuya looked meaningfully at his reflection in the mirror, his gaze appearing melancholic, hiding deep sadness and a heavy burden on his shoulders that he didn't want to share with anyone, only wishing to bear it alone until death came. After showering, Tetsuya immediately put on his clothes and dressed up to make his appearance neat and attractive to others.
Early in the morning, Tetsuya returned home after sleeping for a few hours in Tsuchihebi's laboratory. Fortunately, the roads were quiet as Tetsuya sped his car at high speed to get home quickly. Upon arriving, he immediately had breakfast and then took a shower to save time.
After showering and changing clothes, Tetsuya styled his hair using Mix-Based Pomade. Tetsuya always styled his hair with pomade to keep it tidy, even when hit by gusts of wind. At the very least, his appearance had to look perfect in any situation. Although he seemed indifferent, Tetsuya was someone who paid great attention to his appearance, always following the latest fashion trends. It was no wonder that this became one of his charms in the eyes of women, aside from his handsome face.
His right hand brushed his hair back as he gazed into the long contemporary wall mirror installed near the walk-in closet.
"Handsome, aren't I?" he murmured, praising himself as he looked at his reflection.
'What a shame that a man as handsome as me has to die young. How cruel your fate is, God,' he lamented inwardly, grieving over his life's destiny.
It didn't take long for Tetsuya to dress up like someone heading to the office. Just as he was about to enter the walk-in closet, he was startled by Yamato, who had unexpectedly come to his residence this morning despite being told not to. Yet, he still came to fulfil his duties as a personal assistant.
"Good morning, young master," Yamato greeted warmly, suddenly appearing and standing behind Tetsuya.
Tetsuya jumped in surprise, "You startled me, Yamato."
"My fault," cried Yamato in dismay.
"It's fine," Tetsuya answered absently. "Good morning to you, too. Why are you still hanging around? Didn't I already let you go?"
Yamato smiled quickly, "I just wanted to ask about your condition, young master."
"Don't worry, I'm alive," replied Tetsuya nonchalantly, unwittingly making Yamato's heart hurt.
"Have you actually considered this, young master?" Yamato asked anxiously, already aware of the dark-haired man's plans.
"Of course, I've been preparing everything for a long time before this day came," Tetsuya answered nonchalantly, slipping a pair of black gloves and a small glass bottle containing a few pills into his coat pocket.
Tetsuya walked into the walk-in closet, heading toward a door in the corner. His hand pressed a button, and the teakwood door rotated, revealing a metal door with a secret code to open it. Calmly, Tetsuya entered a few numbers, and the door automatically opened. Inside, it stored a variety of weapons that Tetsuya had kept neatly organized.
From the array of weapons, Tetsuya chose to take a few daggers coated with poison and a handgun with its ammunition, which he holstered at his waist and covered with his coat. These were the only weapons he carried. With his preparations complete, it was time to head to the battlefield alone, without Yamato's usual escort. He didn't want to involve anyone in this matter, as it was a family affair. Outsiders didn't need to get involved, especially if it meant getting hurt or losing their lives.
Tetsuya's appearance was as neat as someone heading to the office. Still, the difference was that while most office workers carried bags with laptops and stationery, Tetsuya did not. Instead, he carried dangerous weapons meant to kill, as that was indeed his primary goal.
"Don't make that face, Yamato. I'm still alive, not dead yet," Tetsuya said casually, responding to Yamato's expression.
"What's the difference if you're going there anyway?" Yamato replied.
Tetsuya smiled briefly and patted Yamato's shoulder twice. "Live peacefully and happily, Yamato," he said with hope to his former subordinate.
"I also want you to be happy and have a family, young master," Yamato said sadly.
"All this time, I've been very happy, and my family is all of you. Now, my task is to protect all of you."
"But young master, I want you to get married, to have a life partner like young master Renji, because you deserve to be happy too."
Tetsuya hugged Yamato while patting his shoulder. "Thank you for serving and protecting me all this time, Yamato."
"Young master," Yamato sobbed.
"After getting married, why have you become so emotional? It seems I need to tell Hinami to toughen you up and make you a strong and resilient man."
"Anyone would be sad knowing someone they consider family is going to the battlefield alone, risking their life."
Tetsuya smiled broadly at Yamato's words as if it were a joke rather than a serious statement. Then, Tetsuya left the house, heading to the battlefield alone. His steps were firm and confident, without a hint of hesitation, as he was ready to face any consequences.
Yamato could only stand still, shedding tears without being able to do anything, as this was Tetsuya's decision.

Renji's dark eyes widened perfectly, his expression filled with shock and fear. Aira, seeing Renji's reaction, also felt anxious and walked closer to ask.

"Darling, what's wrong?" Aira asked worriedly.
Renji tightly embraced Aira. "I will definitely protect you and our child," he said.
"What's going on, Renji-kun?"
Renji immediately carried Aira bridal-style and ordered Fujita to take their child out immediately, as Kaito's men were on their way to the hospital to kidnap Aira and their baby.
Someone had just contacted Renji and revealed his grandfather's plan. Fortunately, Renji found out in time; otherwise, Aira and their baby would already be in Kaito's hands.
Initially, the hospital management tried to hinder Renji from leaving with Aira and their baby, as they still needed intense care. Luckily, Aya came in as if sensing that Renji was going to leave his wife and son at the hospital. Thanks to Aya, who was the head of a major hospital and a doctor, the hospital allowed them to leave with the condition that if anything happened to Aira, the hospital would not be held responsible.
Aira and their baby were taken to Tsuchihebi's laboratory, the only safe place for them at the moment, as neither Hiroshi nor Kaito knew about this location, believing Tsuchihebi had died in a fire years ago.
"I didn't expect that old man Kaito would go this far," Aya said angrily, driving toward a mountain.
Throughout the car ride, Aira held their sleeping baby tightly. Fortunately, the child didn't wake up and cry as they had feared.
Honestly, Renji didn't fully understand the situation. Still, one thing he was sure of was that something big was happening, and it wasn't a small matter.
