My Lust System: I Inherited The Sin Of Lust And His Three Wives-Chapter 132: Corbin and Gilbert Defeated
Gilbert reacted immediately.
"Divine....!"
Golden flames surged forward from his blade, exploding outward to meet the incoming hellfire. The two forces collided midair, divine light clashing against demonic inferno in a violent eruption that shook the cathedral.
For a moment they held. But eventually the hellflames overwhelmed him!
Like a raging ocean swallowing a spark, Duke Haborym’s flames tore through Gilbert’s divine fire, crushing it instantly as the emerald inferno surged forward without resistance. It slammed into his blade with devastating force, the impact bending his stance midair as the pressure drove him backward.
"Ghh—!"
Gilbert’s body was forced back.
The flames dragged him through the sky like a helpless projectile, his wings straining against the force as the hellfire continued to pour forward relentlessly.
BOOOOM!!!
His back slammed into the golden walls of the cathedral.
The impact echoed violently.
Cracks of divine light rippled across the barrier as Gilbert was pinned there, the emerald flames pressing against him like a crushing weight. His sword trembled under the pressure, the golden flames around it flickering violently as he struggled to resist.
But he could not move.
Duke Haborym slowly turned back to Corbin, the hellfire in his remaining hands burning brighter as if nothing of importance had just occurred. His lips curled into a cruel smile as his six burning eyes flicked briefly toward the pinned archangel.
"Watch closely," all three of his voices overlapped, cold and heavy. "As I kill your priest."
Without hesitation, he turned his palms downward.
BOOOOOOM!!!
Hellfire erupted.
A violent torrent of emerald flames poured from his hands, crashing down toward the fallen Corbin like a descending sea intent on erasing him completely.
Corbin’s body trembled, his vision gone, his breath shallow, yet he was still conscious. He could feel it.. The inevitability of death rushing toward him.
And still he smiled. With the last of his strength, Corbin forced his hand up and the cathedral responded.
Buzz!
Every remaining thread of divine energy surged toward him, abandoning all other functions as it condensed around his body. A radiant golden shield formed, wrapping tightly around him, flickering but resolute as it braced against the incoming hellfire.
The flames collided.
BOOOOM!!!
The barrier shook violently, cracks of light racing across its surface as the emerald inferno pressed down relentlessly.
Corbin laughed. A low, sinister sound that cut through the chaos.
"Tell me..." he said, his voice hoarse yet amused, "are you satisfied now, Prince?"
The flames roared louder, swallowing his figure almost entirely as the barrier flickered under the strain.
"Because of you we’re all going to die." his grin widened, blood trailing down his face
Across the battlefield, Damian remained seated. Calm and unmoved by those words. He tilted his head slightly, then shook it.
"No, You’re the one who’s going to die. Not me." he said casually.
Gilbert snarled from where he was pinned, his wings straining against the crushing hellfire.
"HELP HIM!" he roared, his voice filled with fury.
Damian’s gaze snapped toward him.
"I don’t take orders from priests," he said flatly. Then his eyes narrowed further. "And I definitely don’t take them from angels."
Duke Haborym laughed. A deep, thunderous sound that shook the air itself.
"HAHAHAHAHA!!!"
"Well Said My Prince!"
His flames surged even harder.
The hellfire pinning Gilbert intensified, pressing him deeper into the cathedral wall as the divine structure groaned under the strain. At the same time, the torrent crashing down on Corbin grew fiercer, heavier, grinding against the weakening barrier with relentless force.
The golden shield flickered violently, each pulse weaker than the last. Corbin exhaled softly, his smile never fading.
"What a shame..." he murmured. "I would have liked to live a little longer with her."
There was no fear in his voice. No regret, only acceptance.
The barrier screamed. Cracks spread across it like shattered glass as the hellflames pressed closer, their heat already licking at his skin.
"GRAAAAAAH!!!"
Duke Haborym roared and unleashed more.
BOOOOOOM!!!
A far greater surge of hellfire exploded downward, completely overwhelming the fragile defense. The barrier shattered and with it the Cathedral broke.
Cracks spread instantly across the massive structure, racing through every wall, every rune, every line of divine inscription. The golden construct trembled violently before it exploded.
KRRRRASH!!!
The Cathedral of Absolution burst into billions of fragments of fading light, scattering across the battlefield like dying stars before vanishing entirely.
In that instant, Damian felt it. The chains binding his demonic heart were gone.
His demonic heart slammed against his chest. Power surged back into him like a flood breaking through a dam, demonic energy rushing through his veins as his muscles tightened and swelled once more. He inhaled deeply, his lungs filling as a small, satisfied smile spread across his face.
He was free.
Duke Haborym threw his head back and laughed, reveling in the destruction as he turned his attention toward the still-pinned archangel.
With a casual motion, he unleashed another wave of hellfire.
BOOOOM!!!
The flames slammed into Gilbert, blasting him off the shattered wall and sending him hurtling through the air.
"AAARGH!"
The archangel’s cry echoed as his body crashed violently into the ground below, the impact kicking up a cloud of debris.
This time he did not rise.
Duke Haborym’s laughter faded into a satisfied hum as he turned back. Corbin lay there, defenseless.
The Duke stepped forward slowly, his massive form looming over the fallen priest. One of his legs lifted, hovering above Corbin’s head as his three faces regarded him with something close to approval.
"You were remarkable," he said calmly. "The finest exorcist I have encountered in thousands of years across countless worlds."
With that his leg came down fast!
Bang!
A violent burst of wind exploded outward from the collision, dust and debris scattering as the force rippled through the battlefield.
Duke Haborym’s eyes narrowed. Slowly his gaze shifted. There, beside him Damian stood with one leg raised, blocking the Duke’s strike.
Their limbs locked in place.
"What are you doing?" Duke Haborym asked, his voice dropping. 𝓯𝙧𝙚𝒆𝙬𝙚𝒃𝙣𝙤𝒗𝓮𝓵.𝙘𝙤𝙢
Damian’s expression remained calm.
"The cathedral is gone," he replied. "But I still need the blood barrier keeping your army out."
A frown formed across the Duke’s faces.
"We had an agreement," he said slowly. "You were to remain out of this for five minutes."
Damian stared at him and laughed.
"We’re demons," he said, his grin widening slightly. "We cheat, we lie, and we steal for a living."
His eyes gleamed with violet light.
"You should’ve known better than to trust the word of one."
