My Evil Crown Prince-Chapter 97: You Are My Pawn
The principal couldn’t reject the request of the heiress of the Hoseki Empire. She wasn’t just an heiress. She was the only daughter of the wealthiest family in the country and a Crown Princess of the neighboring country.
He allowed Alira to be Caden’s guardian and four bodyguards were present to protect them in case something bad happened.
Once again, they came face to face with Benjamin Miller. She had to look strong in front of everyone. She remembered her mother’s aura every time she would confront someone.
Alora Eleanor Smith Wilson was called the Ice Princess because of her cold and distant personality. Her aura and presence could make anyone fear her. She was the youngest daughter of the second wealthiest family in the country, but she became more famous because she admitted in public that she had a multiple personality disorder.
It was just recently that they found out the reason for her mother’s illness. Her trauma was because of a kidnapping incident and she was injected with the memory serum which erased her memories.
The old man sitting across from them might be the one who made Alira’s mother suffer from her illness. She looked at Caden’s fake grandfather. How could someone who murdered Caden’s grandmother, raped a dozen women, and ruined the lives of others still have a face to show in public? She thought to herself.
She wanted to kill him. She could hear the voices inside her head, telling her to end everything once and for all.
Caden held her hand. It was warm, making her relax and calm. She took a deep breath and forced herself to stop thinking about killing Benjamin.
"So we are here to get the statements of both sides regarding the disappearance of Gregory Allen from the Bronze Class. But since the news had already spread. We asked the media to broadcast this meeting so everyone would know the truth." The principal started.
Alira’s eyes rolled. Golden Oak was making a mistake. It was obvious they were already siding with Benjamin Miller and they wanted to humiliate Caden.
"Let’s start with Mr. Benjamin Miller, Gregory Allen’s sponsor and guardian. Mr.Miller, go ahead, everyone is listening."
Benjamin cleared his throat and turned to the media as if he really cared about Gregory Allen.
"I was informed that Greg, one of the kids I raised as my own, went missing two days ago. His classmates and teachers were concerned because he had never been absent. It wasn’t his nature to leave school without notifying his teachers. He’s a smart kid and a class representative. I’m so worried about him." Benjamin then turned to Caden. 𝐟𝕣𝗲𝕖𝕨𝗲𝐛𝗻𝗼𝐯𝗲𝚕.𝗰𝚘𝐦
"One of his classmates witnessed that some men dragged him inside a black van. We found out that the men are the Crown Prince’s royal guards. I don’t know what Greg did to offend the prince, but I believe a kind and polite kid like him did not do anything wrong. Maybe the prince wanted to get revenge on me, his grandfather."
If they were in a movie, Benjamin’s acting had already won the best actor award. Alira thought inwardly.
"We will allow the media to ask questions since you are already part of this investigation." The principal said.
She wanted to laugh. Investigation, he said? They were trying to make it look like it was a crime. Gregory Allen was absent for just two days. Adults really are overdramatic. She said to herself.
"Mr.Miller, is it true that you gave Miller Group to the crown prince, even though he wasn’t your biological grandson?" One of the reporters asked.
Caden was quietly sitting on the chair, staring at Benjamin while he answered the question.
"Yes. From the moment his mother was born, I knew she wasn’t mine. But I gave her everything. She became a Miller and when she had Caden, I gave him the company." Benjamin wiped the sides of his eyes.
She felt nauseous seeing Benjamin lied to everyone. Caden squeezed her hand again. He was still calm which she couldn’t understand.
One of the teachers was monitoring the response of the people. They were told that Benjamin got the sympathy he wanted and Caden became the ungrateful grandson.
It was finally Caden’s turn to speak. First thing they heard from him was a sarcastic laugh.
"I always enjoyed analyzing your every move, Grandfather. Getting the people’s sympathy was indeed a great move. I applaud you for that. But I will address the issue with Gregory Allen." Caden smirked.
Alira’s heart pounded and she felt her chest would crack open because of the loud thump inside.
"Gregory Allen is indeed taken by my men." He started.
The reporters focused their microphones, recorders, and cameras on Caden.
"I have a reason to take him. These are the evidence that I got and would answer your question." Caden pressed the button on the remote to show the videos of Gregory Allen’s bullying.
"You see, a lot of students were bullied by Mr.Allen and his friends. Most of them were from the Bronze Class, but there were students from the other three classes including the Platinum Class. Those students from the higher class didn’t dare to speak up because of embarrassment. They have a reputation and a name to protect so they would rather obey Gregory Allen than get exposed. The girls were abused. Their videos and photos were used to threaten them." Caden explained.
The principal cleared his throat when nobody answered. Even Benjamin became red when he saw the evidence.
"But Your Highness, kidnapping one of your underclassmen is still against the law. We want to know what happened to Mr.Allen."
Benjamin got his back again. "Give Gregory back to me. But I don’t think you could since you already admitted to killing him."
Caden laughed louder, enough to echoed in the meeting room.
"And you easily believe that? I didn’t expect you to fall from my lies, Grandfather. I thought you know everything about me. But I guess, you are so desperate to ruin the name of the royal family."
Then the door of the meeting hall opened and Ed stepped inside together with none other than, Gregory Allen. Everyone was shocked. Alira also didn’t expect that the guy was alive, because Caden told her that it’s done so she assumed he killed him.
Caden’s face changed. His eyes were like daggers as he stared at his fake grandfather.
"I know everything about you. This is not your game anymore. It’s my turn now and you are my pawn."
