My Evil Crown Prince-Chapter 74: Do What You Like
The words were strangled in her throat. She wanted to answer Samantha, but how could she tell them about Caden’s other identity? It was a secret that she could never share with anyone.
"I’m sorry if I can’t tell you anything. If only I could." She said.
Her friends nodded.
"We understand. But will you be able to handle it? I mean, what if he finds someone else? Will you be okay?" Lea asked.
The girls knew she waited for Caden for twelve years and it would be hard for her to see him with another woman.
"I honestly don’t know. I’m sure I’ll be fine." She said.
Samantha sighed. "Let’s find you a date. Someone better than him."
"Is there someone? The only guy that I could think of is Lucas. And she can’t date him, obviously." Cassy giggled.
"We’ll find someone that could take care of Alira. A guy that would never make you cry!" Samantha insisted.
She chuckled. "I’m fine, really. Don’t worry about me."
Caden made a side glance to check on Alira. He saw her smiling and for some reason; he was glad that she wasn’t sulking. He didn’t want to hurt her, but if Alira would keep on getting scared of him, it’s better if he stay away. He never wanted her to fear him. And it pained him seeing her being disgusted with him.
"Your Highness, you can have my juice if you want." The red-haired girl with big breasts said.
Caden smirked. "Can I have all of it?"
The girl blushed. "Of course! Drink it all."
Alira could hear their conversation, and it made her sick. The girl was sitting beside Caden, pressing her breasts into his arm.
"That girl is Penelope Vasquez of class three. She’s in rank thirty-ish, I think. She’s pretty popular because of her big breasts, but she’s really cute." Lea commented.
Samantha elbowed Lea gently to stop her from talking about Penelope.
"What? I’m just saying she could take the prince’s interest because she’s cute and had those bouncy chest." Lea pouted.
Cassy giggled. "But Alira’s beauty is a lot different. And if I’m a guy, I’ll choose Alira instead of that girl."
She didn’t say a word and just focused on her snack. Caden and the two girls were two tables away from them and seeing them made her lost her appetite.
"Excuse me, Alira?"
She frowned and turned to her left to see who called her.
"I’m not sure if you know me, but I’m Zen, captain of Golden Oak’s Basketball team. I was just wondering if you have time later? Like lunch break?"
She already knew the reason Zen approached her and was about to say no, but Samantha suddenly answered.
"Yes. She’s free. Rooftop. Lunch time."
"Oh, that’s great. I’ll see you, then."
She looked at Samantha with a frown on her face. "What was that?"
Samantha rolled her eyes. "Alira, you have to start accepting invitations from other men. You can’t be stuck with that jerk. He’s already flirting with someone, and you still want to stay miserable? I won’t let you do that to yourself. Zen is a great guy. He’s in class two and everyone praised him for being so kind and gentle."
She sighed and glanced at Caden. She was surprised to see him looking at her, giving her a warning glare. Then he turned to Penelope and smiled.
What was that? Was he trying to stop me from meeting Zen? She looked at Penelope and was annoyed by how the girl casually brushed her fingers over Caden’s arm.
She then turned to Samantha. "Fine. I’ll meet Zen."
Samantha smiled. "That’s my girl."
Lunch break came and, as promised, she went to the rooftop to meet Zen. She was already certain that he would confess to her, so she wasn’t really interested. Seeing Caden with Penelope made her mad, so she wanted to piss him off. If Caden could flirt with another girl, then she could do that as well. She thought to herself.
"Hello Zen." She greeted him with a smile.
Zen was blushing and couldn’t look straight into her eyes.
"I-I’m sorry for inviting you. I know you just broke up with the Crown Prince and this might look like a selfish move, but I also know that a lot of guys were planning to approach you. So I just want to be the first. Alira, can we hang out this weekend? If you’re not available, then maybe the next weekend? I’m not rushing you, just tell me when. I’ll wait." Zen said.
It wasn’t a direct confession, and she liked it. They said there should be a three-month rule after the breakup. You should not date or entertain someone for the first three months, but she didn’t care. She needed a distraction anyway.
She took a deep breath and smiled at Zen. "Okay. This weekend is fine. We can hang out as friends."
Zen’s eyes sparkled with excitement. "Sure! As friends! That would be great! I’ll look forward to it. Is it okay to have your number? So we can communicate, but if you don’t-"
"It’s fine. Here." She said, while handing him her calling card.
Zen took it, and with a wide smile on his face, he bowed his head. "Thank you! I’ll go ahead. I don’t want to take up your time. You should also go back and eat your lunch."
"How about we go together?" She didn’t know what got into her. She just felt like inviting the guy.
Zen couldn’t believe it and was blushing when they came into the cafeteria together. Rumor spread fast inside the campus, and Caden couldn’t hide his anger when he saw Alira walking side by side with another guy. 𝒻𝑟ℯℯ𝑤𝑒𝑏𝑛𝘰𝓋𝑒𝓁.𝒸𝑜𝘮
She was on her way to the classroom when someone grabbed her hand, pulling her inside the music room. It was Caden, cornering her behind the closed door.
"Do you intend to date that guy?" He asked.
Her knees felt weak, but she couldn’t let him see it.
"What if I say yes?" She answered.
Caden smirked. "You’re the worst. You’re the one who broke up with me and had the audacity to date another guy just a day after the breakup. I underestimated you, Alira. But whatever, do what you like. I sincerely wish your happiness." He said before leaving her speechless.
