Mr. Fairchild's Rose: She is Wild and Proud-Chapter 80: Summer Ainsworth!
Nina greeted Maeve Lane shyly, "Hello, Maeve."
"Hi." Maeve slightly curved her lips.
Sarah Sutton observed and said, "Though Nina is young, she’s quite clever. Having her around makes me feel more at ease."
"Hmm, thank you."
Sarah waved her hand and gently patted Maeve Lane’s shoulder, "I’ll stay with you for a few days first; afterwards, Nina will handle things."
"Hmm."
Nina nodded as well, "Alright."
Though Sarah currently only oversees Maeve Lane as an artist, the company still assigns plenty of tasks.
Here, the location is remote, truly inconvenient. She initially wanted to accompany Maeve Lane herself but eventually had to abandon the idea.
Having given instructions, Sarah glanced out the car window and said to Maeve Lane, "It’s about time. Let’s head down first, or it won’t look good if people say we’re being haughty."
"Hmm." Maeve Lane stretched lazily, her expression somewhat weary. She wondered what was happening with Julian Fairchild lately, as he kept returning to Crestfall Bay every day. Being used to sleeping in her own bed, her sleep quality sharply declined.
Sarah was right; when and how one shows up is something to ponder.
"If we arrive early, reporters swarm us with questions, while arriving late leads to headlines about Maeve Lane being difficult." As she walked, she explained to Maeve Lane and Nina, "But these situations can be avoided; the entertainment industry isn’t as glamorous as it looks."
Nina earnestly took out a notebook to make notes.
Maeve Lane chuckled lightly and, upon looking up, met Julian Fairchild’s gaze.
Her smile froze for a moment.
The handsome man donned casual attire, hardly formal, exuding a subtle laziness.
Who knows how long he’d been looking over.
By the time Maeve Lane looked, he had already shifted his gaze.
The reporters nearby all raised their cameras, frantically snapping photos of Julian Fairchild.
Best Actor Fairchild’s background remains a mystery; soaring to the peak upon debut. Rumors suggest that the president of MS Entertainment is Julian Fairchild, but none have been confirmed. His status in the industry is undeniably high, with many renowned directors on good terms with him.
His presence meant Maeve Lane’s appearance drew less attention.
At the launch ceremony, Maeve Lane encountered Director Marcus Dayne again, as Sarah stepped forward to greet him: "Director Dayne, long time no see!"
Marcus Dayne nodded, revealing a standard smile, "Long time no see." He then looked at Maeve Lane and Nina beside her, nodding at Maeve Lane.
Maeve Lane slightly smiled back and replied, "Hello."
"This is Maeve Lane’s assistant, named Nina; Director Dayne, you can just call her Nina." Sarah held Nina’s hand, "I have some affairs and can’t stay here. If Maeve Lane encounters any issues, you can talk to her or call me directly."
Director Dayne smiled and nodded without adopting the pretentious air of a big director, saying amiably, "Sure."
While the group talked, some reporters focused on Maeve Lane.
"Miss Lane, how did you land the role of Eliza Grant?"
"Do you have any comments regarding the online reviews?"
Some were even more straightforward.
"Rumor has it you joined the production with funding, securing the role; is this true?!"
"You’re an artist under MS Entertainment. Have you worked with Best Actor Fairchild before?"
Sarah stayed back afraid Maeve Lane would be besieged by these reporters, fortunately, she was prepared for it.
But just as she was about to respond, someone suddenly exclaimed—
"It’s Summer Ainsworth!! Why is she here!"
