Chapter 39: Shooting got completed

Silas’s POV

"Silas, you’re acting different all of a sudden. Can you tell me what happened?"

"Nothing happened. Leave before I kick you out of the room."

I shouted. Hearing me, Lysander was shocked.

"Why are you shouting all of a sudden?" He glanced at Nekol. "What happened to him? Nekol, why is he behaving like this with me?"

"I think it’s because he saw you talking with his brother."

"NO!" I quickly denied, realizing that Nekol had noticed. I thought he wasn’t paying attention to me, but he was. And I didn’t want Lysander to know the real reason I was trying to distance myself from him.

Because if he knew, I was sure he’d make excuses like "It’s not like that," and comfort me by saying he cared about me, but behind my back, he’d meet Ciel.

So, I didn’t want any of that. In the first place, I shouldn’t have gotten involved with Lysander. He’s not my type.

I was gazing at Lysander as he seemed lost in thought, looking down. Just then, he suddenly looked up at me.

"I think there’s a misunderstanding here, Silas. I didn’t talk to your so-called brother because I like him or for any other reason."

"It was him who was saying he’s my biggest fan and wanted to take a selfie with me, but I turned him down because how could I give him a selfie when you seem to hate him so much?"

I was stunned by what Lysander said, and I didn’t know what to say anymore. I just froze, staring at him.

Seeing my reaction, Lysander quietly left.

"Why did you let him go? You should’ve stopped him. He didn’t seem like he was giving you an excuse."

"Nekol, I’m hungry, and I don’t want to talk about this anymore."

Nekol didn’t say anything after that, and we ate in silence. But it felt suffocating for me, like some heavy burden was on my chest.

After eating, we took a rest, and in the afternoon, we went to the shoot.

Once my makeup was done, I came out of the fitting room and saw Lysander and Ciel talking again. This time, Lysander was showing Ciel something on his phone, and Ciel looked quite happy.

I walked over to stand by the scene when I heard Ciel sobbing.

I quickly turned around and saw Ciel running to the fitting room, crying. Seeing him run like that, I glanced at Lysander. He was looking at me with a big smile, his eyebrows teasing me.

Wait, did he make Ciel cry for me? But wasn’t he just talking to him? Why would he do that? It’s not like I was sad—I was actually very happy.

Lysander walked over and stood beside me.

"Why did you do that?" I asked.

"What did I do?"

"Why did you make him cry? I know you like him."

"Eww, stop it. Please. I have my type, and I don’t like him at all. I have my reasons for making him cry."

Look at him—he can’t lie. It’s written all over his face that he did that for me, and now he wants my praise. I can see his tail wagging. Suddenly, a smile spread across my lips.

"Lysander, sorry for before. I shouldn’t have behaved like that with you."

"Haha, it’s okay. Don’t worry, I wasn’t hurt."

"By the way, what did you say to him that made him cry like that?"

Lysander looked kind of proud that he made Ciel cry. He leaned down to my ear.

"He came to me saying he wanted my number, so I showed him how popular I am..."

"He was smiling as I showed him, then I told him that I know many more omegas like him who want to ride on my popularity and become famous. His tricks won’t work on me... That’s when he started bawling."

Huh. He didn’t even say anything harsh to make Ciel react like that. Man... Ciel is really overdramatic. But why should I care about him?

After that, we shot our scene, and it went smoothly. I didn’t even realize when evening came. We finished all our shooting in the school.

Ciel and I also shot a scene together, since he was the villain and I was the main character. But he didn’t say much after the shoot, and I was the same. I was with Lysander the whole time, and when my scenes were done, I’d play with Shao.

Shao’s parents were in the hospital due to a car accident. They were seriously injured and in a coma, but there was still hope—that’s what Director Wang told me.

We didn’t even realize and finished shooting the entire 12 episodes in six months. The shoot was complete.

It felt like a dream, having worked in the drama without making any mistakes. And first of all, Ciel didn’t create any problems for me.

To be honest, I didn’t want to create any problems either, so I avoided him the whole time. I knew if he came to talk to me, I wouldn’t be able to control my temper. That’s why, as soon as the shooting ended, I’d leave directly.

Now, we were heading back to the dorm, and in a week, the trailer for our drama "Love or Hate" was going to be released.

Today, they were just revealing the cast members to the fans, who only knew that Director Wang’s new drama was coming out, with Lysander as the male lead.

Lysander’s fans were crazy about him. They were eagerly waiting for the drama. I didn’t have any fans, but I had 1k followers on Stargram, didn’t I?

I quickly opened Stargram and selected a pic from the shoot.

"Finally done shooting the drama ’Love or Hate.’ Hope you’ll support me, even if my acting is bad... See ya."

I wrote the caption so my fans would know I’m in the drama. Nekol was driving with full focus, so I put my phone back in my pocket and closed my eyes to take a quick nap.

And I think it really was a quick nap because as soon as I closed my eyes...

"Silas, wake up, we’ve arrived."

I heard and opened my eyes, but I was still so sleepy. Thank god I fell asleep; otherwise, I wouldn’t have realized how long the trip was. Poor Nekol, who drove the whole way here.

"Nekol, don’t worry. I’m going to sleep more for you."

I got out of the car and patted Nekol’s shoulder.

"Yes, yes. Sleep in my place too, Silas. But I’m leaving now. I’m so tired."

Nekol left, and I stepped into the dorm building. When I was about to open my room door, a guy came out of the elevator. He was a complete stranger.
