Mated to Four Alphas-Chapter 40: Is Nekol in trouble
Chapter 40: Is Nekol in trouble
Silas’s POV
Blue hair, blue eyes, and a muscular body—these features alone told me he was from the Peace Pack. Everyone in the Peace Pack had blue hair and blue eyes. I tried to ignore him and was about to enter my room when—
"Hey, wait..."
I heard him call, so I glanced at him. "Yes?"
"Umm... are you new here? I haven’t seen you before."
"Kind of."
He walked over and stood beside me. "Would it be alright if I spoke informally with you?"
"Yeah, you can."
"Hello, I’m Gems."
"Hello, Gems. I’m Silas."
"Umm... did you work in Hate and Love drama?"
Wait—how does he know I worked on that drama? Did Director Wang already upload the cast details? But he said he would upload them in the evening.
"Can I ask how you know I worked in that drama?"
"I follow you on Stargram. I really like you. When you uploaded something two hours ago, I was so happy for you! And then, by chance, I saw you on the ground floor. I had a hunch it was you, so I followed you, and I was right!"
Oh, so basically, he’s my fan... Wow. My first fan is standing right in front of me. I didn’t expect this day to come so soon in my life. I feel like I’m on cloud nine right now.
I stretched out my hand and shook his. "Nice to meet you, Gems. This is my first time meeting a fan. I hope I didn’t disappoint you, and I hope you’ll enjoy my drama."
"But I just finished shooting for that drama, so I’m really tired. I’m going to rest now."
I stepped into my room when—
"Wait, Silas!"
I glanced at him. "What happened?"
"Can you follow me back on Stargram? If it’s alright with you... If you don’t want to, I won’t ask again, I swear."
Hmm... He’s my first fan, and he’s only asking for a follow-back on Stargram. It’s not a big deal. Plus, I think he’s an artist in this company too.
"Sure, why not? Tell me your ID."
I took out my phone, opened Stargram, and waited for his answer.
"Can I type it myself? It’s a little difficult to spell."
"Sure."
I handed him my phone, but for some reason, I imagined him running away with it. I knew he wouldn’t, but the thought crossed my mind anyway. He typed in his ID, opened his profile, and handed the phone back to me.
His ID was indeed hard to type. When I checked his profile, I saw that he had uploaded many videos and photos, yet he had zero followers. The only person he was following was me. Strange. He looks good, and his photos and video quality are great, so why doesn’t anyone follow him?
"Okay then, see ya," I said.
"Yeah, see you soon," he replied with a smile.
I stepped into my room and locked the door. After taking a shower, I was doing some exercise when my phone rang. I grabbed it and saw the caller ID—CEO calling. I quickly answered.
—(Silas) "Yes?"
—(Damon) "Where are you right now? Did you reach the dorm?"
—(Silas) "Yeah, I’m working out right now."
—(Damon) "How was your shooting experience?"
—(Silas) "Fine."
—(Damon) "Come to my office right now."
—(Silas) "Why? I was about to rest."
—(Damon) "Don’t you want your paycheck?"
Paycheck? Wait, I’m getting paid now? I haven’t thought about money in the last six months.
—(Silas) "I’m coming right now."
I hung up, threw on a white shirt and white pants, locked my door, and stepped out. But suddenly, I felt like someone was watching me. I glanced around both sides of the corridor, but there was no one. Brushing it off, I took the elevator straight to Damon’s office.
---
I knocked on Damon’s office door and walked in.
I was in a good mood, but when I entered, I saw Damon typing something on his laptop.
"Mr. Damon," I called. His eyes lifted from the screen to meet mine.
"Oh, Silas. Have a seat."
I sat in the chair across from him.
"So, did you have any trouble while shooting?"
"Nope, everything was fine for me."
His fingers stopped typing as he leaned back in his chair.
"Do you have a bank account?"
"Nope, I don’t."
"I figured. That’s why the company created one for you. Here are your bank details and card."
Wait—he made a bank account for me? Wow. That’s actually great.
"There’s ten million transferred into your account. Congratulations, you’re rich now."
I quickly took my bank details and card. Just then, I heard a notification. I checked my phone—it was Nekol, messaging me.
Nekol: Do you have a Stargram account?
I replied: Yes.
He asked me to share it, so I did. Then I glanced at Damon.
"Thank you for paying me."
"It’s nothing big. You earned this money."
Indeed, I earned it, but it was Damon who gave me this opportunity. I’m grateful to him.
"It’s all thanks to you, Mr. Damon."
"If you’re that grateful, wanna have dinner with me?"
"Mr. Damon, I think you seem to forget something. You already have a mate. I saw him at your mansion—you and your three brothers share one mate, and his name is Ori. It would be better if you focused on him only."
Damon stared at me, unblinking.
I stood up and bowed slightly. "Thank you." With that, I left.
---
As soon as I stepped out, I called Nekol. He answered immediately.
—(Silas) "I got my payment today. Let’s go eat something."
—(Nekol) "Yeah, me too. But Silas, I have some... some work. We’ll talk later."
He hung up.
What happened to him all of a sudden? Wait—could it be about his boyfriend? When he told us the truth, he mentioned blocking his boyfriend. And even when I asked, he never told me anything about him again.
Shit. Is he in trouble?
I rushed back to Damon’s office.
"Mr. Damon, do you know where Nekol lives? I need to meet him."
"I’ll send you his address in chat. But why do you suddenly need to go to his house? Should I drop you off?"
"No need. You must be busy. Just send me the address—I’ll go on my own."
Damon sent me the address. I left the office, exited the company building, and was about to b
ook a taxi when a familiar car stopped right in front of me.
Lysander rolled down the window.
"Hey, sexy. Wanna lift?"
Huh. This piggy never forgets to flirt.
