Mated to Four Alphas-Chapter 37: Lying in lap
Chapter 37: Lying in lap
Silas’s POV
Nekol hugged me back while hiccuping. Lysander had heard everything, but he didn’t know what to say, so he just listened to Nekol in silence. Just then, a driver arrived.
"We’re leaving," he said, and the three of us got into the vanity bus. Soon, the bus started moving.
After a while, Nekol fell asleep on the sofa in front of us. Lysander and I were sitting on another sofa, both still awake.
I didn’t know why, but I just couldn’t fall asleep, and neither could Lysander—he had been playing games on his phone for the past half hour.
As I glanced at him, he suddenly looked up. I flinched and quickly looked away, pretending to gaze around the bus.
"Silas, you have a shoot tomorrow too. Get some rest," he said.
"But I can’t fall asleep. What should I do?"
"Come here. Lie down." He patted his lap, signaling me to rest my head there. At first, I felt awkward, but resting was more important. So, I quickly pulled my legs up on the sofa, lay down on my side, and placed my head on Lysander’s lap.
The moment my head touched his thighs, I felt the vibration of his phone. He started stroking my hair with one hand while continuing to play his game with the other.
I closed my eyes, feeling as if I were surrounded by lavender flowers. Their calming scent made me feel cozy and at ease. With each passing second, I grew more comfortable.

The next morning, when I opened my eyes, my head was still on Lysander’s lap. He had fallen asleep too, sitting upright with his head resting against the seat. One of his hands was on my chest, and the other was on my head.
"Cough... Lovebirds, don’t you think you should wake up now?" ƒгeeweɓn૦vel.com
I heard a voice—Nekol’s. I quickly sat up, and Lysander woke up as well as I moved away from him.
"Did we arrive?" I asked.
"No, we’re still on our way out of town. All the cast members are gathering at the next location."
Oh, so where we were heading, the entire drama cast would be present. Just then, Lysander lay down, and his head was about to land on my lap.
"What do you think you’re doing?" I asked.
Without replying, he rested his head on my lap, lying straight with his arms folded over his chest.
"Silas, let me sleep. I’m so tired."
Since he let me sleep on his lap the whole night, I didn’t refuse and let him rest. Then, he grabbed my hand and placed it on his chest.
"Can you give me gentle pats? That way, I’ll fall asleep faster."
Without saying anything, I started patting his chest gently. Within five minutes, he was asleep.
It was a different feeling—one I had never experienced with Zarek. We never shared moments like this. Zarek always used to say he wasn’t hungry for my body and wouldn’t touch me until I turned eighteen.
And I was naïve enough to believe him. Looking back, I think he liked Ciel since childhood. That’s why, once we grew up, he decided to reject me on my eighteenth birthday and accept Ciel instead.
Zarek .....What was I expecting from that bastard? He doesn’t even deserve to see my face. I am far more beautiful than that bitch Ciel—I know that.
But Ciel has a talent for making everyone take his side, which I don’t. Not that I need to, because I don’t care whether people are with me or against me. What matters most is that the one I love shouldn’t betray me. But they already did.
So now, I don’t believe in love.
There is no love. Only lust exists.
I won’t fall for anyone again. Every Alpha is the same.

After a while, Lysander woke up, and we finally arrived at our destination.
As the vanity bus stopped, Nekol got off first, and I followed while yawning. Lysander walked behind me. In front of us stood a hotel, and beside it was an old, abandoned-looking school. As I scanned the area, a little kid suddenly ran toward me and hugged my leg.
My eyes widened in shock. But when I saw his face, my heart skipped a beat.
It was the same kid I had seen that night—crying while hugging a police officer’s leg. I think his parents had met with an accident.
But what was he doing here?
I quickly knelt down and held both of his hands.
"Kiddo, what are you doing here? Who did you come with?"
Lysander knelt beside me and stroked the little boy’s hair.
"He’s Director Wang’s grandson... Potato."
What?! Director Wang’s grandson? I had no idea he even had a grandson.
"His parents—" I started to ask, but before I could finish, Lysander glanced at the kid.
Black hair, red eyes... He looked about four or five years old. The boy was also looking at Lysander curiously.
"Um, it’s nothing. I’ll tell you later," Lysander said, gently flicking the boy’s forehead.
"But Shao, what are you doing here?"
Didn’t he just call him ’Potato’ a moment ago? Now he was calling him ’Shao’...
As I held Shao’s hands, he suddenly jumped into my arms and hugged me tightly. I wrapped my arms around him and picked him up. He clung to me, refusing to let go.
"Silas, give me the kid. He must be heavy," Lysander said.
"Not at all. He’s light, and I can carry him."
Why would I hand Shao over? He was so cute, and besides, he was hugging me, which meant he liked me.
Just then, I noticed Director Wang walking toward us.
"So, here you are, Shao. You know I was worried about where you had run off to," Director Wang sighed in relief, panting as if he had been searching for Shao for a while.
"Shao, come here to your grandpa," he called.
Director Wang tried to take Shao from me, but the boy refused to let go. He clung to my neck tightly, his eyes shut.
Director Wang called him multiple times, but Shao still wouldn’t budge. In the end, it was only when Lysander offered him chocolate that he finally let go and went to his grandfather.
A truly stubborn child.
But why was he clinging to me like that?
I didn’t understand... Maybe he thought he could trust me.
From there, we headed into the hotel. Inside the hall, the entire cast was already waiting for Director Wang.
