Loving The Cursed Werewolf King-Chapter 266: Ronan Wants To Bring Arielle Home
"We cannot bring them home yet?" Lucas asked the doctor.
The old man lowered his head and then shook it with regret. "Travelling with these kinds of wounds is too risky. I’m worried the wounds will open again. My advice is to rest for the next few days."
Lucas showed his disapproval. He knew this was something that Ronan would be against. How could he let Arielle stay longer in the South?
Johan came closer to him to whisper because he didn’t want the doctor to hear the conversation he had with Lucas. "What about the attacks?"
"His Majesty has settled it down and now William and the others are holding them back because Prince Archie said he shouldn’t meet Princess Arielle and Sasha for the next few days."
"That would be hard," Johan muttered.
"That’s why I came here to make sure everything is fine. We must return to the north as soon as possible before more soldiers of Nieverdell come and launch another attack."
Lucas observed Arielle’s condition once again. "I’ll tell His Majesty and get more people to guard on the outside."
Johan nodded and escorted Lucas. Seeing a stranger enter his house, the owner of the house could only watch silently and just walked away.

In the depths of the dark forest, Kael had sheathed his sword and was pointing it to Ronan, who glared at him. William reached out his hand to Ronan, asking him to hold himself back while Lazarus was standing behind Kael as he felt intimidated by Ronan, who clenched his jaws tightly. 𝑓𝑟𝑒𝘦𝓌𝑒𝑏𝑛𝑜𝘷𝑒𝘭.𝒸𝘰𝑚
"Archie has warned us. We cannot be seen by anyone," William said gently.
"And leaving Arielle alone in a place I don’t know?" Ronan roared in rage as his breath hitched.
"Princess Arielle is being treated by a doctor and Lucas is checking in on her right now," said William, trying to convince his friend.
Ronan growled. The tips of his nails were growing fierce as he was ready to turn into a wolf again, even though he had dressed up. Kael further advanced his sword. Ronan touched the tip of the sword in full rage, causing his hand to hurt, then throw Kael’s sword away from his neck.
Just before Kael drew his sword again, Lucas and his horse returned with news about Arielle and Sasha’s condition.
"I’m sorry, Your Highness. Princess Arielle and Sasha’s conditions are really bad and it’s not possible to travel far. Sasha is still in critical condition, while Princess Arielle has sprained her legs and will not be able to walk for the next few days," Lucas said, reporting everything that needed to be said.
Ronan turned and grabbed the horse that Lucas had ridden.
"Where do you think you’re going?" William shouted.
"To see Arielle," Ronan answered simply.
"Ronan, please listen to me... we have to get back to the North soon. Our soldiers are already heavily injured and can no longer withstand the next attacks if the rest of the royal family decides to unite to comb the capital."
"I. Will. Never. Leave. Arielle behind," Ronan replied firmly. His expression showed a resolute determination.
"I know! I won’t leave Princess Arielle either. However, it is safer for Princess Arielle to stay away from us. Once Princess Arielle is fully recovered, then we can bring her back."
Ronan took a deep breath and exhaled slowly. He got off the horse and grabbed William by the collar. Kael and Lazarus strode to them in a hurry to separate them. Kael restrained Ronan, and Lazarus pulled William back.
"Ronan," Kael called.
Ronan pushed Kael’s hand away from his body roughly. He knew what William had said was obviously true. If they remained in the capital, then it would be the same as giving their selves up to Nieverdell.
His soldiers must return to the North immediately. And as a king, he had a duty to strengthen their trust in him. However, he couldn’t leave Arielle anymore.
"I want to see Arielle’s condition. I’ll make my decision after seeing her condition," he said firmly. Ronan paced towards the horse and got on it. Kael soon followed. William wanted to stop him, but Lazarus forbade him.
"Let him be. Ronan just wants to make sure that Princess Arielle is okay," said Lazarus, calming his best friend.
Lucas nodded in agreement. "Master Lazarus is right. His Majesty the King is acting tough right now, but he’ll soften up after meeting Princess Arielle. Men are like that when they are with the woman they love."
William snorted at Lucas’ words. "You talk big like you understand what it’s like to just fall in love,"
William sneered as he cleared up the mess they had done earlier. Lazarus laughed out loud at William’s teasing.
"You shouldn’t be like that, Lord William. You just haven’t met the right woman yet," Lucas said defensively.
Lazarus’ laughter grew louder. "You’re crazy to think this man could fall in love, Lucas."
"Nothing is impossible. It’s just that the timing isn’t right. Even a person like King Ronan could fall in love with Princess Arielle."
Lazarus snapped his fingers. "Ah! You’re right too!"
William just shook his head. He was gathering the bodies of the southern troops to burn them on the spot. He left the bodies of Northendell troops alone. His steps were stopped when he saw Andrea’s body, which had been trampled on. He shook his head again in disbelief. His hand reached out to close her eyes.
"Hopefully, I will get a woman like Princess Arielle!" William sighed wearily.
"I hope so too!" Lazarus exclaimed from a distance while lifting the bodies of his soldiers.
Lucas smiled, seeing the two men able to stay strong in these conditions. Even after seeing the fallen soldiers and King Ronan’s intimidation had made their legs feel weak, the two of them could still joke around freely, talking about the most ideal woman’s buttocks.
Maybe it’s their way of dealing with the sadness that hovered in their heart, Lucas thought.
