My Life In A Fantasy, Women-Dominated World-Chapter 151: Into The Trial
Aaron felt like he was tossed into a running current of sludge.
His eyes refused to open, which was probably a good thing as he could only feel a viscous liquid all around his body, holding him tight. ๐๐๐๐ฆ๐๐๐๐๐๐ท๐๐ญ.๐ธ๐ฐ๐
Powerless, he had to go wherever this sludge was taking him.
And after what felt like hours, his body was launched off, as if he was in a slide of a waterpark and midair, the slide ended.
His survival instincts came swinging in, forcing him to protect his face and vitals at the very end moment before the impact arrived.
He fell hands first, the impact coursing through his flesh and bones as the momentum continued to roll him across the ground, hitting various objects along the way.
Most of the time, he felt himself rolling over shrubs and smaller plants, making him assume that either he was in a park, a forest or some kind of a farm.
"Ugh... mother fuckin..." He gasped in pain, wheezing with his chest rising and falling as he laid on the ground motionlessly.
His body was hurt all over, making him grunt with each movement, but despite this, he moved his hand away from his eyes, finally taking in the view of this mysterious... trial.
The first thing he saw was a lush canopy, hanging very high into the air and crisscrossing with the huge leaves of other trees, forming a thick net of leaves that managed to block more than 90% of the falling sunlight.
And this lack of sunlight caused the flooring to get shrouded in darkness and dampness, unsuitable for bigger plants to grow as only the weed-like smaller shrubs were able to grow.
This scenery reminded Aaron of amazon rainforests on the Earth, but he couldnโt help but notice how weird the flora was.
It wasnโt as green and heavily grown as the Amazon, but more like it was divided into two huge classifications.
One was the bigger trees, reaching to high heights, taking all the sunlight for themselves and their roots going deep into the soil.
And the other classification was literally everything else.
Other flora was scarce, darker, sometimes dying from lack of sunlight or the lack of nutrients from the soil.
It looked less like a thriving rainforest and more like the forest of capitalism, ruled only by the tall trees.
And as for the fauna, Aaron tried to look for some, but he was unable to find any living being around his vicinity.
In addition, he was too hurt to get up and look properly, so it was too soon to declare that he was all alone in this forest.
Aaronโs eyesight felt glassy and slightly blurry as he winced in pain every once in a while, keeping his eyes peeled onto the surroundings with a keen gaze.
He needed one, just one target that could allow him to cast his reverse senses spell.
Just one...
He found it.
His eyes narrowed onto a low buzzing sound, watching a small flying insect that looked like a mutated honey bee.
Mutated in a way that the animal looked like a literal cartoon, having metallic spikes for its two hands and having a black stinger poking out of its butt.
The design reminded Aaron an awful lot of the bee based pokemon on Earth, the beedrill.
But he had no mental capacity to care about the weirdness of the situation currently as he focused onto the flying bee and channeled his magic inwardly, triggering the reverse senses spell.
He may complain about the lack of sensations that the reverse senses often left him with, but it surely had its uses.
Once Aaron felt the connection form with the bee like insect, pain all around his body began to mellow down.
His body still felt unresponsive and numb, but at least he no longer felt a shit ton of pain every time he tried to move or did anything.
However, he knew that this form was a double edged sword, since if he moved too much in this form due to lowered pain, and by chance caused his muscle or bone to get oriented wrongly, the healing process would become a literal hell!
And not only that, if he did so, what happens after the skill ends would be the death of him.
So being careful about the movements, he carefully opened the inventory using his mind and summoned a high graded healing potion right into his hands.
It was difficult but he managed to pop open the cork using his fingers, his nose shivering in delight from the faint aroma of the potion.
Though it was mostly his subconscious at work, releasing dopamine and adrenaline both at the thought of drinking the sweet potion that would allow him to heal and get back to his feet.
There were a few options as to how to drink it, but Aaron settled with using the magic, using mana to hold the vial and slowly bringing it closer to his lips.
He overturned the vial onto his lips and began to take huge gulps of it, not letting a single drop fall off or get wasted, since potions were a limited resource here.
If he knew the task would be like this, he wouldโve brought a lot more potions and supplies, but that was the beauty of class trials.
No one knew what it was like and no one was ever, ever prepared for the trials.
It was the unwritten law, after all.
He didnโt realize when the 30 seconds of his skill passed by and the sensations returned back to his body, but luckily, he had already drunk the potion by then and several smaller wounds were already healed.
His body didnโt ache as much, allowing him to slowly but surely pluck himself off the ground and looking at the scenery around himself.
But before checking out the scenery, he had a much more important task to finish.
Aaron took a deep breath to calm his racing heart and summoned his status window to check the details about the class trial.
