Loving The Cursed Werewolf King-Chapter 190: Peaceful Night Together
Tania nodded in understanding. She agreed that even a small party still required preparation. Tania was experienced enough to throw parties so she knew what they needed. Because in the south, they had so many princes and princesses. Almost every month there was a party being held.
"Who are you going to invite, Your Highness?" asked Tania. She wanted to estimate how much food they would need to prepare.
"Hm..." Arielle held her chin in thought. "Probably just William, Kael, Sasha, Lucas, Priest Elis, and you."
"Me?" Tania asked, surprised. The woman shook her head at the invitation. "No, Princess. I’m just a servant. It is not proper to sit with a king."
Arielle’s cheerful face instantly turned sour. "Why? Aren’t you also my family?"
The maid smiled and held Arielle’s hand.
"Thank you for thinking so. But no matter how close we are, our social statuses are different, my lady. Relaxed, don’t think about me. I have many friends here. After all, I’ll be busy helping you prepare the cake for tomorrow, right? It is an honor for me to make a birthday cake for a king," said Tania sincerely, making Arielle silent.
Tania was always like that. Even though Arielle never thought about their difference in status. After all, all this time in Nieverdell, she had also been playing with the servants and other guards. She only experienced interacting with nobles after she set foot in the North.
Tania rubbed Arielle’s face, which looked sad.
"Okay... okay... However, even though you invited me, I still won’t go!" she said firmly, making Arielle smile again.
That’s right, no matter how hard Arielle pushed her will, she would never succeed in getting Tania to follow her wishes.
Tania had already chosen what she would do tomorrow and Arielle knew she couldn’t be forced to change her mind. And as someone who considered Tania her family, Arielle would never force the maid to do whatever she didn’t feel comfortable doing.
"Are you sure? But if you want to join, it will be more fun, Tania."
Tania laughed loudly and opened the plate cover. She served dinner for Arielle.
"Even if you cry while begging, I still won’t be there," replied Tania jokingly.
"All right," replied Arielle, who finally relented.
"Oh, by the way, you didn’t invite Sir Lazarus to the party? Why?" asked Tania who was surprised that Arielle didn’t mention the man’s name even though Lazarus was one of the close friends of the king, just like Kael and William.
"Oh, that’s right... Lazarus too," answered Arielle a little unenthusiastically. It was not that she hated Lazarus, in fact, she felt sorry for bringing Lazarus back to face Ronan again after what happened earlier. She didn’t want Lazarus to feel uncomfortable about remembering that horrible thing earlier.
The girl stared at the dish in front of her with sparkling eyes. Her stomach was filled only with breakfast in the morning and a packet of toast with Frostberry jam in the afternoon when they came to the field earlier. And all her energy was drained by her game with Ronan earlier.
Seeing the dish made Arielle tempted to immediately taste it. Unconsciously, her stomach growled, making Arielle’s eyes widen in surprise. Likewise, Tania noticed while she was pouring water into the girl’s glass.
"Are you that hungry?" asked Tania, surprised.
"Hehe... I guess I am." Arielle couldn’t help but smile shyly and started eating her dinner.

Ronan massaged his neck, feeling tired. His eyes were already heavy, and even his steps began to stagger tiredly. Even so, Ronan didn’t go to his own room.
With a tired body, the man forced himself to walk across the palace garden which was very cold at night, to get to Whitethorn Palace. All the lights had even been turned off, meaning that it was now midnight.
Ronan yawned, looking at the sky that looked a bit bright.
No, it was not past midnight. It was a couple of hours to dawn already. Arielle must have fallen asleep.
Ronan opened Arielle’s bedroom door and closed it slowly. He pushed the rabbits that were scattered around his feet. He was not interested in playing with them. Even when Riel was sitting quietly by the bed, hoping Ronan would see him, the man simply ignored the bunny.
The man took off his shoes and clothes and then joined Arielle under the cover. He reached out his hand to hug Arielle from the side and put his face near Arielle’s arm. 𝗳𝗿𝐞𝕖𝘄𝗲𝕓𝗻𝚘𝚟𝕖𝐥.𝚌𝕠𝕞
Arielle, who felt someone join her on the bed, turned to the side with heavy eyes. It was still too cold to get out of bed. She saw Ronan, who was already asleep. Arielle took the initiative to lift the man’s head and put a pillow under it so that the man wouldn’t wake up with a sore neck tomorrow.
Arielle looked at the window curtains, which were still dark. Even so, Arielle knew that the hour was approaching morning.
Arielle tilted her body to return Ronan’s hug. There were still some hours to rest again. Arielle fell back asleep while hugging Ronan’s head, who started snoring softly.
He must be so tired, thought Arielle. All day working, then playing around all afternoon, then back to work all night long. Plus the previous few days Ronan had lacked sleep.
***
Ronan woke up alone. For the first time, he woke up after Arielle. He looked around the room with sleepy eyes. There was no Arielle or the rabbits, and the window shutters had also been opened. He could see it was snowing outside. The sky, as usual, looked gloomy grey.
The man got up to sit down. Every now and then, he rubbed his face to quickly come to his senses. No one knew how long he fell asleep, but it felt very comfortable sleeping in Arielle’s arms after a tiring day at work.
Today would be Arielle’s last day in the north before tomorrow, she must return to the south.
