Loving The Cursed Werewolf King-Chapter 189: Arielle Plans To Throw A Party
"I thought you would draw me with my fangs," Ronan growled, showing his big sharp fangs.
Those fangs were capable of tearing apart any flesh in the blink of an eye. And those red eyes sparkled and looked vicious even though Arielle was no longer afraid like the first time she saw Ronan in his wolf form.
The girl shook her head and cupped two of her hands to the wolf’s face. "You are the most beautiful wolf I have ever seen."
Arielle gave a short kiss on the wolf’s mouth, making Ronan’s tail perk as well as his ears. In an instant, Ronan turned back into a human and pushed Arielle to the floor. The man grabbed Arielle’s lips so roughly.
"Ronan... stop for a moment."
Ronan stopped his bite on Arielle’s lips when the girl asked him to stop.
"What is it?"
Arielle pointed towards her bedroom door. There was a knock and a call from Lucas.
"Your Majesty, Sir William has returned early. He brought word from the west about the message you sent."
Ronan cursed. Arielle smiled and rubbed Ronan’s face gently.
"You have to go back to work, don’t you?"
Ronan closed his eyes tightly against the surge of desire when he saw Arielle’s blushing face with sparkling lips from his rough kiss just now.
"Forgive me. I have to go back to William," said Ronan regretfully.
"No problem. I’m not going anywhere. When you finish work, don’t forget to rest," Arielle replied. She just made it harder for Ronan to leave her.
Arielle would be leaving the North in two days. Tomorrow night would be Arielle’s last night in the North before heading back to the South. Ronan wanted to spend more time together with her, but his work could never be stopped even if only for a moment.
But he also could not delay this matter. Ronan had instructed William to discuss changing the route from Thebis to Wolgast via the north road.
This was a problem he must resolve immediately before he transferred ownership of the neutral area to Nieverdell. The sooner this was over, the sooner he could pick up Arielle back home to the North.
"You should rest too. You must be tired after running around earlier."
Arielle chuckled. "But it was so much fun," said the girl, making Ronan smile too.
The man kissed Arielle’s cheek gently and then got up to reach for his clothes that were scattered on the floor of Arielle’s room. Arielle, who had seen the man’s naked body several times, was still not used to it. Arielle turned her gaze to stare at the slowly swaying flames.
The girl got up and returned to hug Ronan, who was now back to being fully clothed.
"After I finish all my work, I will return. I’ll call Tania to accompany you."
"Thank you," replied Arielle. Ronan was still standing where he was, and it was only when Arielle’s eyebrows rose that the man left Arielle’s room.
Arielle moved to sit on the sofa. She noticed her clothes were dirty from rolling around in the stables earlier. Arielle then took the initiative to change into clean clothes. Not long after, Tania came with a dinner trolley.
"Oh, you’ve changed clothes? Can you do it yourself?" she asked.
Arielle chuckled. "Of course. I can do it myself, Tania. I always wore my own clothes when I was in Nieverdell," said the girl, tying the straps of her tunic across the front of her chest.
"How is it? Have you found a present for His Majesty the King?" asked Tania, who had been thinking about what the girl would give the king.
Arielle nodded enthusiastically. She went to a desk drawer and took out a package box that had been wrapped in glossy paper and tied with hemp rope.
"What’s in this?" 𝐟𝕣𝗲𝕖𝕨𝗲𝐛𝗻𝗼𝐯𝗲𝚕.𝗰𝚘𝐦
"A book," Arielle replied as she handed the present to Tania for the woman to see.
A book? Tania twisted the gift to try to peek inside. She could neither read nor write, so she had never touched a book before.
Tania was one of the lowly servants who happened to be given the task by King Hugo to look after Arielle since she was a baby. Therefore, Tania could not read like the personal servants of Arielle’s other siblings.
"Book? Why book, princess?"
Arielle pursed her lips to stop herself from feeling sad. "Actually, this is the only book I can afford with our money, Tania. But Sir Lazarus helped me choose this book. He said this is a special book that is rarely owned by many people. Even the king didn’t have it. Also, as a form of thanks for teaching me how to read and write, I would like to give him this book. That is it."
Tania understood now. The woman smiled and returned the gift to Arielle. She could understand Arielle’s anxiety that they didn’t have much money. While in the North, their needs were always well catered for.
They didn’t have to earn money for a plate of warm food or a pair of warm clothes. So, until now she and Arielle had never thought about money. Even the money they had now was just what was left from the money they brought from the South.
Tania thought the idea of giving a book as a birthday present was good enough.
"Don’t feel sad. Your intention to thank His Majesty for teaching you how to read and write will surely be conveyed with this gift. I’m sure His Majesty the king will like it," said Tania making Arielle more relieved now.
The girl put the gift box back into the drawer where she had hidden it before. Then she took another book, which she had hidden under the sofa cushion when Ronan had come to visit earlier.
"And Tania... I intend to make His Majesty the King a cake like this tomorrow. Could you help me?" Tania received a recipe book for making cakes. She didn’t understand the writing, but she could understand the picture of a cake with a few candles on it.
"And cake too?"
Arielle nodded enthusiastically. She explained why.
"We will return to the South in two days, while the king’s birthday party will be held a few days after we depart. I want to throw a small party with some of his closest friends."
